(Music)At some point, Elfé needed to talk to some sort of expert about why she kept ending up in strange places. It seemed like she kept running into portals that took her to wildly different locations -- Pretty concerning stuff, really. But at least this place was a quiet town. It didn't change that she was lost, and had no idea who she might run into, and whether or not they would be friendly. She didn't have much aim at the moment, since none of this reminded her of the world that she fought across in a desperate bid to stop Shinra. Just like other places she had been taken to, the world seemed more 'alive' compared to her own. The concept still took some wrapping her head around, but as near as she could tell...
She wasn't just ending up in different parts of a single world, but ending up in different worlds entirely. Elfé wasn't sure how to feel about that, other than she'd prefer a more dedicated method of travel that didn't feel so random. So far it didn't result in anything too bad... But there's no telling what the next portal could throw her into. Still, she'd just adjust the white hood that did a fairly good job of obscuring her face from onlookers. The streets were mostly absent right now, so she had free reign to just walk and see the sights. Her current path was a slow and steady descent, eventually ending on a large raised courtyard overlooking a fair chunk of the town. It was in front of a train station. At least this was a type of world where things made sense.
She would calmly walk over to the railing, gazing out at Twilight Town below. "A quiet town... It would be nice to live here.", she commented to no one in particular. Maybe she needed to keep this place in mind. It would certainly be a lot better than that lonely house she had back at her own world. Although... She was unlikely to find any Materia here, too. Just like that, Elfé had gotten lost in thought again as she stared off into the distance. She was unaware of anyone that might be around at the moment. One could tell that she seemed different from most people however. Her clothes were one clue, as were the strange glowing gems attached to some articles of her clothing.
But there was also the fact that she had a real weapon sheathed at her side. That was a real attention grabber in a peaceful place like this. If there was one nice thing, it's that it didn't seem like she was here to use it...Hono

The Sunset Terrace, a district of Twilight Town with the famous Sunset Hill. Hono often headed into the undergrounds, to train and have some alone time. Panting quietly echoed through the surprisingly large underground concourse. Hono was doing some workouts. She lifted her body into a sitting position completing a final sit up. "50..." The pink haired girl had her hair down, reaching halfway down her back. Rising up from the floor, dusting her backside off quickly. Hono quickly tied her hair back into her normal pigtails. Exiting the underground while holding a small leather bag. The view of the constant twilight always did bring a smile to her face, it was something iconic to her world, it always is breathtaking.
The girl arrived at the station, quickly boarding the train. A few others were on the train awaiting the next stop, kids going home for lunch, shopkeepers returning to their stores. The train soon pulled away from the station, along the winding track that stood above the town. It returned to the main location of Twilight Town, the clocktower. Exiting the train station in a slow turn, Hono hadn't been relaxed in quite a while, with her hunt for Snow White and "babysitting" she found it hard to have time for herself. It was nice to take a temporary break. A handful of citizens were walking around the plaza awaiting their train.
Everything seemed fine, Hono walked to the edge of said plaza looking down at a large portion of the town. To the right of the fencer was a girl with a white hood. Hono found it odd, however after noticing a blade at her side. Hono couldn't quite tell if it was a boy or girl due to not having a good view. Hono cleared her throat. "You know... If you're trying to blend in you're doing a pretty..." she stopped as a few kids played around her. "Crappy job..." Crossing her arms and eying the unknown person in front of her. "What's your story...? You're definitely from another world..."

Maybe it was because this world was so obviously different from her own, and so much more peaceful as a result -- But she didn't draw her blade at the sudden sound of someone talking near her. Her reflexes normally made her do that, given the type of place she used to live in... Out in the wilderness, you generally ran into monsters or bandits. Neither of which were very friendly for long. But she restrained herself from that particular response. It still made her flinch a bit, though. She hadn't expected anyone to just walk up to her like that without her noticing.
Evidently, they weren't the only ones in this area anymore, Elfé could hear the distinct sounds of children playing. She glanced over at them for a moment, then returning her attention to the one speaking to her. It was... Strange. To meet someone acting so casually about there being multiple worlds, and people from an entirely different world. Well, maybe that wasn't quite right. They were asking about her story, after all... She took a moment to regather her composure, before then giving a response... "I'm Felicia. I'm surprised you're saying I'm from another world, though.", she treads the subject carefully.
After all, it's not like Elfé knew if this town was accepting of outsiders or not. Once more, she used her true name instead of the one that she had gotten used to. That way it wasn't technically a lie, but it helped keep her identity secret from Shinra. "It's not that surprising to run into someone practicing martial arts, right?", she then adds. Although obviously she wasn't referring to hand-to-hand martial arts, but instead the type related to the sword.
"... Or maybe it is. I guess I never paid much attention to it.", she then adds. Right now, she was just trying to get a gauge on the type of person Hono was, and whether or not Elfé would need to make a quick getaway in the event of this turning dangerous. This might not have been her world, but it's not like these people were deserving of someone coming in and beating them senseless... So if it came down to it, she wouldn't fight unless it was necessary to do so.Hono

Hono didn't want to make a scene in front of the citizens of her world. "Not a lot of people know about other worlds. I'm one of the lucky few who do..." Clearing her throat and looking at the kids, they began listening to their conversation. Hono turned towards them, a fiery glare and an angry aura radiated from her, the kids shivered. "It's not polite to eavesdrop, shoo shoo!" Her tone of voice raised. The kids nodded and dashed off, to their parents on the other side of the plaza. The fencer sighed turning back to the visitor. "Felicia, Felicia," Hono spoke it a few times to lock it in her mind. She changed quickly, from that aggressive tone back to a neutral one.
"Well... I use a sword but people think it's a bit weird to carry one around like that," She told the women. "So, What brings you to this world?" She curiously asked wanting to probe some answers out of the unknown girl. "I'm Hono and I've lived here my whole life!" Proudly putting her hands on her hip and smiling.

Hono would eventually respond with the fact that not a lot of people knew about other worlds -- That made sense. Elfé only recently started to piece together that fact herself, and even she wasn't entirely sure how she was traveling to other worlds like this. The randomness of it didn't sit well with her... But soon after Hono said that, she would clear her throat and shoo the kids away. That was... An impressive glare that the girl had. Elfé could safely say she hadn't seen anything quite like it. Though it was obvious she wasn't going to do anything to them either.
That fierce tone of voice would then return back to it's normal speaking level as Hono addressed Elfé once more. "I see... Well, you're right. I am from another world.", she would finally admit now that their conversation was in private. Though she was still being mindful of how loud she said that particular bit of information. It wouldn't do to have others hear it and start spreading rumors around this little town after all. This is the kind of place where rumors could spread fast because of how peaceful it was.
Which connected rather nicely into another point. It was apparently so peaceful here, that carrying around weapons was seen as odd. A stark contrast to Elfé's own world, where it was expected to bring weapons for self-defense, and everyone wanted the chance to use the same thing... Materia. If you had that, it was a complete gamechanger on the battlefield. "I didn't expect to end up in a peaceful place like this. As for what brought me here... I don't know. I've been ending up in new worlds ever since I decided to leave my home.", she would then give her explanation. Not that it was much, but she didn't know what was going on either.
"In my world, it's pretty normal to carry weapons around at all times... There are a lot of wild beasts roaming around, along with a slew of other problems.", Elfé then divulges a bit more information about where she came from. Though she still didn't know a lot about Hono, she could at least tell that the girl didn't mean any immediate harm to her, so there was no sense in remaining so on edge. "I'd actually been in my world all my life too, until very recently... To be honest. I think I prefer this one. It's the type of place I wanted my own home to be.", she'd then add, looking back at the view of the town.
Elfé would then take a deep breath of the fresh air... No reactors or other sources of pollution here. The air was clean. It seemed like no other world was on it's last legs like her own.Hono

The horn of the trains roared as people scurried to aboard, Hono didn't respond watching the trains exit the station, the trains going in various directions across the town. Hono's theory was correct, Felicia was from another world. Hono returned to the conversation. "Peaceful... Yeah, it's always twilight, a lot of people come to this exact spot to just watch, Me and my brother use to come here often. But his school started so I don't see him as much," Shaking her head as it wasn't relevant, "That's not important, right now." The fencer was surprised to hear that Elfé's had only recently started traveling. "I suddenly appeared in another world, I explored a bit and obtained these potions that allow me to travel, I'm new at this kinda stuff too". Leaving out some of the malefic details, the whole find and kill Snow White thing.
"Peaceful... Yeah! I always think of this place when I see the sunset. It's like I'm always home." Crossing her arms as Felica explained that weapons were common in her world, she could only assume what it was like, becoming greatful she lived in such a peaceful world. "You must be pretty damn tough then, what are you gonna do now that you're here?" Questing the girl again. "I'm interested in learning some more about your world," Hono was quite curious, Felica seemed to have good intentions, though Hono would have to keep an eye on her, just to make sure, better safe than sorry.

So it was always twilight here? That sounded like it was pretty strange to deal with. Even her own world had days and nights, and all the in-betweens, despite how much damage Shinra had caused to it. But then again... If you were born here, maybe that wasn't an oddity? It would be comforting then, and every other world would seem strange by comparison. In any case, Elfé had spent a little bit too long musing on that idea. She sympathized with the idea of not being able to see someone as much due to their life becoming busier. Now that she had her memories, she could recall the days she spent waiting patiently for her father to come home... It wasn't the exact same thing, but the similarities were there.
But Hono would set that to the side before Elfé could comment on it, instead turning her focus to more important matters of conversation. So Hono was thrown into another world too? "Well, at least I know it's not something that's only happening to me. Though I haven't found a method of traveling consistently, so... It's still happening randomly.", she would explain calmly. All in all, she didn't seem too worried about it. There was the chance it could put her into a dangerous situation, but she had been in enough of those to not worry about it until it happens. Hono would then voice her agreement with Elfé's assessment of this town.
"Sounds like you have a lot of fond memories of this place.", Elfé would then give her own comment, a soft smile on her face. At this distance, it was easy enough to make out some details, plus her voice had definitely given away her gender. But she had gauged Hono to be the type of person to mean no harm, and so she was just enjoying the conversation. After thirteen years in isolation, it was a pretty nice change of pace, to be honest... The girl would then ask what it was that Elfé was going to do now that she was here. That prompted her to grow thoughtful in response. "To be honest? I'm not sure. Like I said a few times, I'm not exactly traveling to other worlds by my own will. So my ending up here was accidental.", she explains. "But I think I'll make the best of it, I don't think I'll run into anyone dangerous here.", she then adds.
Surprisingly enough, Hono then expressed interest in learning more about Elfé's world. "Well... Bit of a long story to my world. There's a corporation there that is effectively in control of the entire world. They are supposed to be a company that supplies energy to the towns and cities that need it... But they also have an army to keep things in check.", Elfé begins her explanation. "They're corrupt, and the worst thing about them is that they're building these reactors all over the planet.", she would pause for a moment. Right, Hono might not exactly get what was so bad about these particular reactors...
"Every planet has it's natural resources, right? Well, in this case, they found out how to extract the life of the planet itself... It's not infinite, though. So our planet is slowly dying as a result. I created a group to combat that, but... It didn't go so well.", she admits, then falling silent once more. She still remembers everyone that died trying to put a stop to it all... People that chose to follow her and AVALANCHE, but even so. She would calmly pull back her hood, and then lean forward, resting her arms on the railing in front of her.
"... I guess you can say that I'm looking for a way to get stronger in order to save my world.", Elfé then states. Though she very much doubted that she would find the method to do so here. The chances are that there was no Materia in Twilight Town... Speaking of which, she would turn slightly to Hono once more, moving that white cloak out of the way to reveal the various glowing Materia attached to her armor. "One of the other things that corporation is responsible for is Materia. It makes you stronger. I'm looking for a special type of Materia... Though I don't think any is here.", she finishes, now easing herself into a more natural posture as she lets Hono digest all of this new information.Hono

"It was the weirdest day of my life for sure" Hono admitted with a heavy sigh escaping immediately after she spoke. Reminiscing on her first reactions to Drawf Woodlands. Though it didn't last for a few seconds soon turned sour, she almost instantly remembered her frightening encounter with that Evil Queen. Though she quickly pushed that into the back of her mind, at least for now. "What was the first world you encountered? I was kinda scared... Tell anyone that and I'll kick your-" She stopped noticing another group of kids began playing. Dang it, kids always ruining the fun.
Felica relived that her way of travel was sporadic, Hono herself wanted to find a different way of travel. Once the potions ran out she was done, so she had to ration them. "I could use a better way of travel,". Hono had plenty of memories, "Yeah, I learned to fight here, my brother was born here, those are my favorites at least" Sharing a couple memories she cherished dearly. "I hope you enjoy your self here" Elfé didn't prove to annoy Hono, a good thing for sure. Luckily Hono's good side was showing, though with the previous scene with the kids it gave a glimpse into her aggressive side.
Hono's interest peaked once talk of Elfé's world began. It was something she wanted to see sometime. Seeing the different worlds had become a recent fascination of hers. Oh, the stories she could tell Mizu. He'd be so envious, giving his sister a few teases in the process. "Damn... They sure seem like bad dudes, nothing like that here," boasting about her own world a bit. "So they really are killing the planet huh... Kinda impressive, If I'm being honest," Admitting, a bit amazed by the sheer technology this massive corporation holds. As Felica began talking about a morbid subject Hono sealed her lips. Even she wouldn't touch it. "I'm sure it'll work out," Trying to lighten the mood, if just a little. "Materia..." The word sounded strange. "It's a resource of such? Never heard of it, but you can't say we don't have any if you don't look." Indirectly telling Elfé to explore for the object she was searching for.

And so their casual conversation continued, with Hono giving out an interesting question. The first world that she had visited... Or at least, ended up in. Aside from her own, that would be... "Actually, I ended up in a world that appeared to be jungle as far as the eye could see. I was lucky to meet a few friendly people there, but otherwise, we were pretty much roughing it in the wilderness for the entire stay at that place.", she answers. Elfé didn't really know the name of that world, if she were pressed to come up with one though, she'd probably just go for something on the nose. "Deep Jungle" was certainly very apt.
It also seemed like they were both in a similar situation of not having a proper means of travel. Hmm. Maybe that was something to work on soon? She really couldn't just keep ending up in different worlds, and Hono herself was interested in learning how to travel between them herself, so their interests aligned. Maybe that would be something they could work on together. Although even then, it wasn't exactly the type of thing that seemed overly obvious. How exactly does one figure out such a method? Space travel, maybe? Magic might work too, since teleportation seemed to be a big theme -- At least in her own case. Although Elfé hadn't heard of such a Materia either.
In any case, Hono then expressed a hope that Elfé enjoys herself here in Twilight Town. "I definitely feel like it's a lot easier to relax here... Although, I don't exactly have a place to stay. So perhaps I should see about solving that before worrying about too much else...", she would then comment, mulling it over in her head. The main issue was that she never knew exactly how long she was going to stay in a world. But on the other hand, if she was going to stay here for a day or longer, she still needed shelter, and securing supplies. Main problem was... This wasn't a world that needed fighters, at least as far as she could tell.
Beyond that, Hono seemed to recognize how sensitive the subject of her own world was. But she did also remark that what Shinra was doing was impressive. Elfé could already imagine more than a few members of AVALANCHE that would take issue with saying such a thing, but she had a little more tact than that... "Yeah, it is pretty impressive. I don't really know how they were able to harness such an energy, but they are using it to power entire cities and towns, it makes life a lot more convenient in a lot of ways. Even Materia came about because of their efforts with the Lifestream.", she would concede the point.
"But I think everyone gets a little too caught up in the convenience of it all, and ignores the obviously terrible effects it's having on our world. More people need to be made aware of what's really going on there.", she then adds. With that out of the way, Hono would then try to offer a bit of assurance. Elfé couldn't exactly KNOW that there was no Materia here, and... The more she thought about it, the more that made some sense. It wasn't like it was JUST people that could be moved across worlds, right? Maybe there was some here.
"Might be unlikely, but I'll admit. It's not impossible for Materia to be here.", she concedes once more, giving a small nod with her words. Of course, even then... She wasn't just looking for ANY Materia either. Maybe it would be alright to divulge that information as well... "But I'm also looking for Materia different from what I have right now."
She would then continue the conversation. "You can see the ones that I have right now are all the same color, right?", she points out, and sure enough if one was to look at each of those glowing crystals, they were green. "It's because they're something called "Magic Materia". It lets us do things not normally possible, like conjure a bolt of lightning. But the one I'm looking for in particular is a Red Materia. Those are "Summon Materia", and as their name implies, they allow you to summon powerful beings.", she elaborates further.
"They're rare, though. And even when they are found, they're not easy to acquire, generally.", she finishes her explanation, pausing for a moment. "... Since we're talking about all of this, I think we can help each other out. We both want to find a way to travel, and we can keep an eye out for any Materia along the way.", she would then extend an offer to Hono.Hono

Listening to Elfé's description of her very first world, Hono's interest peaked once again. "Sounds rough," Her arms crossing as she spoke to the terrorist in front of her. A world with an almost endless jungle sounded rough. A ton of predators, who knew what kind of people lived there, "I wouldn't mind seeing that,". Hono tapped her chin, her imagination filled with thoughts of the world.
"Relaxing, Yeah, it's really great, The sunset really gets ya hooked, my brother has a window room so he's always looking out." Laughing a little, "I always give him a hard time about it," Hono did that mainly because she wanted the window room, but Mizu got it instead of her. "A place to stay..." Hono thought carefully about what she would say next, "I'm sure my mom and dad wouldn't mind if you... stayed with us" This would allow her a better way to get to know Felicia. "Just say you're a friend that went to school with me," Hono spoke. Hopefully, this wouldn't be a mistake.
"Well bad guys never win, maybe someone will take care of them," She said hopefully reassuring Felica that things could change in her world. "Materia sure seems strong, maybe I could get some~" She though out loud chuckling to her a little bit. Hono noticed the crystals Felica showed off. Though she didn't seem interested, she never asked for an explanation. Though "Summon" piqued her interest. "Oh, ho-ho~!" Looking at Felica. "And what are you gonna do with a big strong summon?" She pressed her for an answer, a normal traveler wouldn't need a summon.

Hono certainly seemed like the adventurous type, expressing interest in seeing that jungle world. "If you do ever go there, I advise following standard rules for survival. Shelter and food can wait for awhile, but you'll need a source of fresh water the most. That's the most essential thing to find right away, in any wilderness survival situation.", Elfé would then explain. Wanting to go out and see everything that the world or... Other worlds had to offer was perfectly fine, but it also meant being prepared for the dangers and knowing how to keep yourself going. Especially if you knew it was going to be a long trip without being able to get back to a town to resupply and rest up.
With that said and done however, Hono would extend an offer that Elfé would have to consider for a moment. Her family might let her stay at the house, if she claimed that she went to school with Hono... "I appreciate the offer, but I don't want to impose. Especially as I am not very familiar with this world... I don't think I could back up the lie.", she would then reply. Still, it was nice to know that Hono offered. Knowing that there was at least one person here willing to help her out did make her feel a bit more relaxed about her current situation. There was a fallback plan if nothing else -- Though, she didn't know if the girl would insist on staying there either.
But that was neither here nor there at the moment, their topics of discussion would drift to the Shinra Company... Hono believed that they would eventually get taken care of. That optimism was rather rare in Elfé's world. Sure, AVALANCHE firmly believed that it would be the case, but after how the war ended... Most everyone just accepted the situation for what it was. It was no surprise, when word got out that the Leader of AVALANCHE was "killed", anyone with even a hint of rebellion tied to them would have gone undercover until it all cooled off. Elfé didn't say up to date with anything that happened after that.
"We can certainly hope. But after several years of waiting, I just got tired of it, I guess. So I'm out for training and to acquire the things I'll need.", she then responds properly. Not very long after, Hono would express her interest in Materia -- Or at least, Summons. The girl wondered what Elfé could possibly want with one of those... Well, since she had already revealed this much, revealing just a bit more wouldn't hurt.
"Well, you seem to be aware of Summons, so you already know how powerful they are. What you may not be aware of is that Materia is only equipped through a 'buffer'. Like armor, or weapons. This is done because directly attaching Materia to a person's body is dangerous and unhealthy.", she'd begin her explanation, leading up into a greater point.
"I only know of one case that might be an exception to that, but it's a long shot... I used to have a Summon Materia embedded in the back of my hand, and it made me stronger. Though it also affected my health... I think if I were to find the right Summon, and get it to accept me, it might not prove so harmful.", she would then reveal her plan. Crazy as it sounded, but that was what she intended to do. Elfé would need to be just as strong as she was before if she really wanted to fight Shinra... No, even stronger than that, really.
"So if you do find any Materia, make sure you don't just try to use it without some sort of foci or buffer.", she then adds. There was the question of whether or not Hono could even use Materia... Maybe she could? But it's not like Elfé had a way of knowing, and she wasn't just going to give Hono some Materia to test out if she didn't have a safe way of using it. They had only recently met, but Elfé wasn't going to put the girl's life in danger like that.Hono

Hono heeded the girl's advice of survival in the jungle. Hono figured she would first need shelter. But water sure did seem the most important now that Felica mentioned it. Hono was surprised that Elfé turned down her offer. "Oh, That's fine I guess." Hono shrugged. "Good luck finding a place." She told the terrorist. Hopefully, Felicia would find a place to stay. The fencer didn't have much to say and didn't know how to continue. Hono began growing tired, her training had caught up to her. Elfé began talking about that evil corporation. Hono listened wondering what else there was to say.
"I see... So you're fighting against them..." She pieced together carefully putting Felica's words together. "You're pretty strong then huh..." Hono smirks, "A Materia in your hand..." Hono thought on that for a moment, but she didn't ask where it came from. "That's really neat," Hono didn't fully understand everything, but she tried her best. Soon she was warned not to use Materia if she had no buffer. Hono couldn't even use Materia but neither of them knew that. The giant clock tower struck another hour. Hono looked up and sighed, "Well it was nice talking to you, but I really need to head home now, I hope things work out for you, and if you need anything just come find me," Hono smiled for once, turning away and walking slowly away.

Hono seemed a little surprised that Elfé had refused the offer, but wished her luck in finding a place to stay all the same. She'd give a nod in response to that. "Thanks.", she adds to her reply. Slowly their conversation was winding down however, it was a rather lengthy one, especially for a first meeting, and she could sort of tell that the girl was tired. Elfé didn't mind cutting it off early, after all it wasn't like they wouldn't meet again. But there were a few things to still go through before they would say their farewells to each other.
Hono had deduced that Elfé was fighting against Shinra, which was nothing she never really tried to keep secret in their conversation. Though the girl then added that she must have been pretty strong. Elfé would shake her head lightly. "I used to be stronger, actually... And it wasn't enough, so I'm not even starting from square one, it's even further back than I was before. But all I can do is keep moving forward and trying.", she explains. Hell, towards the end of that last battle... She couldn't even do anything, even when the planet was in danger because of Zirconiade.
In any case, it finally winds down to a stop in their conversation, and then the clock tower's bell rings. Hono would sigh and say her goodbyes, finishing with a smile. Elfé would smile in turn. "Of course. I appreciate the hospitality. I hope the rest of your day goes well, Hono.", she would say her own farewells, and she'd glance back to the view of the town one last time...
