(Music)The part they never told you about becoming a new Keyblade Wielder is that it marked you as powerful. And when you were marked as powerful, that attracted those interested in strong hearts. Most particularly, the Heartless. Vaneera had battled several Heartless in her dream, but only met one for real back at the Training Grounds. But this was a veritable crowd that was drawn to her. She had never seen so many. Shadows as far as the eye could see. Though it wasn't just them either.
Soldiers, Red Nocturnes, Yellow Operas, Blue Rhapsodies, and Large Bodies. There were plenty of Emblem Heartless mixed into the chaos that she found herself fighting in. Through the use of her Keyblade and her Magic, she was able to keep herself alive. But this was her first real battle on such a scale, and it was starting to take it's toll on her. Even despite the fact that she was fighting better than she ever had before. It almost felt as if the Keyblade was pulling her along, guiding her. She chose to go along with the flow. It saved her life more than a few times, and cut down more than a few of her enemies as a result.
But physical fatigue still took it's toll on the young girl. “Tch... Where are they all coming from? I've never seen this many before!”, she spoke to herself out of frustration. Partially hoping to hear that voice from before, but ultimately not being too surprised when she received no answer. It couldn't always be that simple, after all. She clears out an opening for herself to back off for a moment, and catch her breath, something she takes full advantage of. Though it does leave her open to attack...
An Air Soldier Heartless decides to strike while the iron is hot, swooping down at her with claws bared. At the second before impact, she raises her head and utters an incantation. “Reflect!”, a barrier forms around her, and the Heartless recoils from it. She then raises her Keyblade and utilizes her most powerful offensive technique; Strike Blitz. With it, she teleports in front of a Heartless, strikes it down, and does so for another, then another. She does this until finally the crowd is cleared out.
Physical fatigue finally catches up with her, and she slams the tip of her Keyblade against the ground in order to catch her breath. “I think that's the last of them...”, she certainly hoped that was the case. But as Vaneera raises her head, she can already see that more of those portals are forming, the tell-tale sign of yet more Heartless coming. She lifts her Keyblade, steadying herself with a breath.
“This is getting pretty ridiculous...”, the only way out was through, it seems...Actions: 1 - Used Reflect to defend herself (Cooldown 0/2) 2 - Used Strike Blitz to clear out a number of Heartless (Cooldown 0/3) 3 - N/A

Muse MusicAt first she simply watched. She sat atop one of the lower buildings. Her eyes trained on the young girl as she fought the heartless. It wasn't that she didn't care. Far from it, but she knew a solem fact. A fact as true in her time as it was now. One if many flaws of that time. The more keyblade wielders... Speciully ones of light in one area... The more the heartless would breed in a world that feels their influence. She knew that much becayse she and many others felt the results. If she went down there their was the very real chance she would only make things worse. And so she instead watched. For her safety and in her opinion the safety of those around her. That was the idea at least, until a lone child entered the area. Out of the hooded young keybearers reach Skuld had her doubts she'd be reached in time-whether Vaneera tried or not. She was already becoming tired due to the wave of heartless as well. Had her mearly coming here made it worse? Thoughts raced through Skuld's for a moment. That's all it took. Whether it was her fault or not did not matter. If it was the other girls fault didn't matter. No... What mattered was the protection of that child. The safety of them both. Of that she she would insure. The solder heartless leapt at the child... And it's claw came into contact with Skuld's keyblade instead. A determined expression crossed the woman's face as she struck out with her weapon, sending the heartless sprawling backward on itself. If a heartless could express surprise it was defently on that Solder's face in that moment. "Begone... You will not harm him"The child stood shivering behind her leg and Skuld maintained her position so that he could stay that way, then firing off a Ray spell in the now charging Heartless' face to send it face first back into Oblivion. To her fellow Keyblader she gave a simple nod. After all in that moment it wasn't important if they knew each other surely? This child... Could not be allowed to come to harm. Nether could her fellow Keyblader. To this end? The young wielder charged light into her keyblade.... And shot off a Laser Barrage at several of the forming dark portals as the Heartless began crawl out in an attempt to cut them off! Of course she would not be able to hit them all but... She should at least be able to give them somewhat of an edge as more came upon them! Finally she made one last action, though she didn't have the time to speak and protect the boy. She could heal an ally so they more effectively fought back. To this end Vaneera would feel the warmth embrace of a Cure spell as she gave a confident nod as her only reply, turning again to face the incoming beasts. ---- 1.Ray spelled fired at a Solder Heartless face. (1 post cooldown) 2.Laser Barrage to try and cut off the path of some of the coming Heartless. (2 post cooldown) 3.Heals Vaneera's coming fatigue with a Cure spell (1 post cooldown)

(OOC Note: Was given prior allowance to join) Terra wandered the lanes between on his glider, searching out for signs of light. his friends, their names were still so far off, but he knew how brightly their light shined. Even Xehanort had said as much once... "Their light shines too brightly, it casts shades on your own heart!". It was the only clue he had to go on, somewhere out there he had to find the brightest, purest lights glimmering with hope. It was there he would find his friends, there was no room to doubt or worry about "What-ifs". Though the darkness around him seemed almost endless, but as he continued forward, following his heart, a light came into view, there was no doubt for him. Down there were keyblade wielders, several. Though he couldn't truly get a feel for how much light they carried, he had to take a chance, even still. He shifted directions and aimed his glider right towards the world they were located in, rushing in quickly from the atmosphere and heading straight for them.
If they even saw him coming, all they would get a glance of was someone riding on a type of flying machine, as he rushed down, he quickly transformed his glider back into keyblade form, landing and sliding right towards a massive heartless that was readying an attack on Skuld from behind, he raised the keyblade in one swift moment, his momentum causing his blade to go straight through the heartless as he slid to a stop right in front of a trio of smaller heartless, slashing his blade outwards and taking them down as well. His attacks all happened so quickly in one swift motion. After that was said and done, he stood up straight. The man who was clad from head to toe in bronze armor just stayed in place, remaining motionless and silent for an entire minute before he spoke up.
"The shadows are here too, then."He glanced around, making sure there were no more before he let his guard down. After scanning his surroundings, he noticed a single straggler trying to get away. He aimed his keyblade carefully towards it."Fire."And in that instance his Dark Firaga spell was cast, a ball that mixed both fire and darkness flew towards the remaining heartless, destroying it instantly as the ball made contact. It was...Rather unceremonious, but it got the job done. Afterwards his keyblade vanished as most did when not in active use. He raised his right hand to his left arm, giving his shoulder a simple tap. This caused his armor to disappear, revealing a man in rather battle-appropriate attire. He looked at the other two and seemed to be somewhat disappointed, as his next words confirmed."...You're not the ones I'm looking for."He scanned the area, and almost seemed intent on going off on his own as he picked a direction seemingly at random and started to walk towards it. Though he stopped himself suddenly, turning to face them both. It took him a moment to think clearly...But finally he found the chance to speak again."These shadows, how long have they been appearing?"Even though he was on a mission to find his friends...He still remembered what he once fought against, he couldn't just ignore a threat to a world. Even if his master was gone, it didn't absolve him of his job. As a keyblade wielder, he still knew that job was to protect worlds from being overrun by darkness. Though it was a task that would keep him from seeking out his friends, it was still one he couldn't ignore with a clear conscience.___________ - Terra used Dark Firaga (0/4) Skuld Vaneera

(Music after the battle)Vaneera did notice that someone else had happened into the area -- A kid?! “Oh no!”, though she was definitely fatigued, it seemed like that was going to give her a second wind, now leaping into action. Diving between Heartless and their attacks, cutting a path to the child before they were hurt. But even her best efforts wouldn't see her reach them in time. She still had to TRY and save them! Before the worst would come to pass however... She would receive assistance from a black haired girl... Another wielder of the Keyblade? She could tell that much even in the chaos around them. Evidently, she was a powerful one too.
A single spell fired off from Skuld was enough to end one of the Heartless. The newfound ally would then give a nod to the red hooded girl. It prompted Vaneera to give a nod in response, they weren't out of this yet. There were plenty of Heartless to deal with! At least now she wasn't fending them off alone, but they were also having to protect a child... Fortunately, Skuld gave them a bit more breathing room through the use of yet another spell. A barrage of lasers that further reduced the number of enemies. But of course, it didn't stop there. Vaneera felt a wave of healing energy wash over her body, renewing her strength. She lets out a small sigh of relief in response.
That was just the pick-me-up she needed to keep fighting. Before she could truly leap back into combat however, yet another newcomer would arrive onto the scene. A man in armor, wielding a larger Keyblade. He struck with such purpose. Such skill... Felling several Heartless with ease, and then unleashing a spell with destructive properties that Vaneera had only ever seen in one other individual before. She was already impressed with everything that Skuld did, but this effectively cleared out every last Heartless that was coming after her. The portals finally stopped opening, and no further Heartless were appearing for the moment. It seems that now, they could finally talk with each other.
The man -- Now no longer in armor, but in a different outfit after dismissing his battle attire in the same way one dismisses a Keyblade -- would speak first, expressing disappointing that they weren't the ones he was looking for. Still, Vaneera smiled. “Well... Even if we're not, I still appreciate the help! From both of you. Thank you.”, she would express her gratitude. It was bad enough that she was in danger, but then a kid went and almost got themselves killed in the middle of that battle by being in the wrong place at the wrong time...
Thankfully, their combined efforts put a stop to anything that terrible happening. Terra would then ask how long these 'Shadows' have been appearing. Vaneera ponders that for a moment. “Mm... It's hard to put a date on that sort of thing. They've certainly been in the world for as long as I can remember, and everyone else can tell you the same thing. So it's been awhile, but... This is the first time they've ever become so bold and numerous.”, she then explains. Not really understanding what could have caused that type of change.
“Ah, anyway... I'm Vaneera!”, she would greet the two, and then turn her attention to the child. “And are you alright...?” Cooldowns: Reflect (1/2) Strike Blitz (1/3) Skuld Terra

At first she had been worried by the apperance of a third wielder. The heartless were cropping up enough with just the hooded girl and herself. Fotunate for them however the armored man was also an exprenced wielder and with his aid they were able to clear out the remaining heartless nore effectivly than they could keep spawning, resulting in the battles end. Unfournate though was who was under the dismissed armor. She could only look away from the mans gaze as he approched, ashamed of her past failure. She hadnt know the man long, heck she barely even knew his name. But she had failed none the less. Ava asked one thing of her and her friends. Gave them one role... And now it was all falling apart. Could she truly not handle... Even that? She continued to avert the taller man's gaze as he spoke-her words carried the shame she felt.
"Right I remeber... Sorry"
It was said quitly, she was not proud of that failure. She knew that she shoudnt dwell on it but... It was hard. Hard when it happener again. Hard when you failed a friend... She failed Aqua... And she also failed Ven. She was worried about Aqua of course but... She hadnt been able to find Ven... And now... One of his friends...
But she was brought from her thoughts by the hooded girl's words of thanks. Right... The heartless were gone. The child was safe now. That was important. The kid would be ablr to continue on, forge his own life and hopefully fill it with happy memories to erase this dark one. If he was lucky he woudnt remebr any of this terror for long. That was her hope anyway. He deserved to smile. Not to remeber his first encounter with the darkness.
"Of course... I apologise, I would have interfered earlier but... Their attracted to our keys even more than normal people. The more of us in one area... The more that will try and come, or if not more... Stronger, thankfully we were able prevent anything from getting out of hand this time"
She let the new keybearer explain the situation in the world, to which Skuld gave a nod to confirm she understood. Still a bit stuck in her thoughts she would speak up again when Vaneera introduced herself. Giving a light smile she would return the favor.
"My name is Skuld, you probaly already figured it out but i'm a keyblade wielder like you"
Her smile would brighten a bit however as a thought crossed her mind.
"It's nice... To see someone else fighting against things like this"

Vaneera thanked them both, and then proceeded to respond to his questioning. So they had been appearing here for some time? It didn't entirely make sense to him. This world didn't feel unique or special, and yet...Heartless were normally attracted to light. Yes, that light could have just been an unknown to him, but it still struck him as odd. Heartless were feral creatures, acting on instinct alone. They weren't the type to seek out targets "Just because"... If they were appearing even before a keyblade wielder was living here, then... He shook his head, maybe he had just been wrong about them? in any case, the one thing he DID understand was that Vaneera being a new wielder would explain the increase."They're attracted to your light."He explained vaguely regarding the fact that Vaneera held a keyblade. Thankfully Skuld would explain in greater detail, hopefully getting the point across better than he had. Vaneera introduced herself, and while he hadn't done these kind of introductions in a long time, he still had the general idea of how it worked."I'm Terra. There's no reason to thank me, it's my job to seek out the darkness and keep it under control."Though it might have sounded like he was denying the thanks to seem heroic or honorable in some way, that wasn't it at all. To him this was a factual statement, it was a task delegated to him and all others who carried the keyblade; seek out the darkness and make sure it cannot run out of control. There was nothing more to it, and nothing less. Besides, given what he had done before... There was no way he would ever consider himself worthy of thanks.Of other note, was the second girl here. He...Recognized her. He didn't know her name, and he couldn't remember where he had met her before. It was as though they had met in a dream once. And yet, even though he couldn't even tell where they had met, or even when. He reached out, placing a hand firmly on her shoulder and smiling lightly."I won't give up on my friends. Whatever you're dealing with...Don't stop seeking your light, either."He released his calm grip on her shoulder, stepping away. It was clear through his words and through his actions that he held no ill will towards Skuld, if anything it was the opposite. He wanted to keep her from falling astray...If it were even at all possible. Though his words were short, they were filled with hope. The man who once was consumed by his doubts and fears wouldn't make the same mistake again. And it was because of that, that he didn't want to see someone else go down the same path. He continued to smile at the two, turning his back to them before speaking up once more."Vaneera, Skuld: We have a world to protect from those creatures. Whenever you're ready, we'll get to the bottom of this. I promise."He waited on them, prepared to do what needed to be done to keep this world safe from the shadows. He seemed so certain of his words. It was because he had to learn to stop doubting himself. But no matter how long it took, he would rid himself of those mistakes, all of his doubt...One day.___________ Dark Firaga (1/4) Vaneera Skuld

Things seemed a little tense between Skuld and Terra at first, with the black haired girl seeming quite nervous or at least ashamed. But the taller man would offer a comforting gesture and hopeful words, proving that he carried no ill will. Between that, and finding out that the child was alright, Vaneera was able to breathe a little easier. “Right. You get home now.”, she'd tell the thankfully unharmed kid to be on their way, and then turn her attention back to Skuld and Terra. The two far more experienced Keyblade Wielders would then explain that the Heartless were attracted to the light, and most especially Keyblades. She would give a small nod at that.
“I see. That explains a lot, then. I only just got my Keyblade, so... They're probably going to keep coming after me for awhile, until I get the hang of things.”, the way she spoke, it made it sound like she didn't have a Master to teach her. It would make a bit of sense too, it wasn't like she was helpless in combat, but she certainly didn't have the formal training that either of these two had. Something that did not escape Vaneera's attention! “By the way... That was really impressive, you two! I've never seen fighting like that before!”, she'd dish out another compliment to the pair. It wasn't just a matter of strength...
Though Terra certainly had her beat in that department too. Which reminded her to ask something. “By the way... How do you do all of that stuff? Like, the armor, and changing the shape of your Keyblade? I didn't know it could do anything like that!”, she'd comment, then glancing at her own weapon. She still admired it, but... She realized that she was an extremely long way from mastering it, too. So much seemed to be beyond her knowledge and grasp. Of course, it wasn't like Terra was the only impressive one here. Skuld was pretty darn good at this too. As a result, the girl in the red hood would turn her attention to the black-haired girl. “And that magic... That was something else. I didn't even know you could do things like that with Light!”
Shortly thereafter, the two would introduce themselves properly to Vaneera. She would give an eager nod and smile upon learning their names, then seeming a little surprised that Skuld mentioned finding another person that fought against the Heartless. “Really? Most everyone I've met keeps talking about how we need to do something about the Heartless. But they're too strong for normal people, so...”, she'd then rest her Keyblade on her own shoulder. “It falls to people like me to get the job done! It's kind of hard when you're just starting off though... Especially alone.”, she'd then admit.
But at least she wasn't working alone now. It seems like Terra was going to help secure this world from the Heartless. Well, that kind of assistance would turn this entire thing around! “Wow, if you two help out, we should be able to solve the problem in no time!”, but then it hit her; she didn't really... KNOW how to stop the Heartless. She figured it was just a matter of defeating enough of them, but that was also probably really inefficient... But hey, two far more experienced people to ask, too!
“So, what's the first order of business? I'm itching to protect my world! The sooner we can find the source, the better!”, she'd then state. At least she wasn't lacking in enthusiasm! Especially considering the close call she had earlier...

Muse ThemeHe... He didn't remeber? He didn't.. hate her? She was sure he would after all she... But he offered only words of encourgement. From them Skuld was finally able to meet his gaze. Their was no malace, no ill will in his features. For a minute she was choked up, unable to find the words to say. He... Even if he did not remeber... She thought for sure he would dislike her. Instead he was the one trying to cheer HER up. Finally her frown turned into a light smile. She could only bring herself to say two words on the subject, nothing more. "Thank you"She woudn't lose herself. She woudn't let herself drown in her failures. She knew first hand what that would lead to, got a refersher just recently. No she would stay firm on her path. Keep her promises. She would not falter. Vaneera went a way towards cheering her up as well, even if she did not know it. Impressive was she? She was nothing compared to the masters but... The words made her grin none the less. She would turn to face Vanerra and nod. "It might sound corny... But my light is what i'm best at using... Even more so than the more common elements... I suppose it just comes natural, of course it took a lot training to! Dont get me wrong"Skuld didn't consider herself any more special than another person. It still surprised her that Ava chose her to be one of the leaders, even if she was willing to do all dhe could to help. She still would. It was all Ava asked of them. She would see it come true. But with Vaneera... She was still a fledgling when it came to being a keybearer. Skuld herself wasn't a master if course, but nether was she a greenhorn. She walked foward, kneeling in front of the new wielder and summoning her keyblade to her hand once more. She thought about it in her head for another moment before giving a nod. "Protecting your world is important, that is for sure. Creatures like this... They seak hearts. Both of people and worlds. Our duty... The duty of a keyblade wielder is to prevent darkness such as them from spreading, here or any other world. Vaneera... If you'd allow it, i'd be happy to teach you how to wield your newfound power"She offered with her hand out for the young wielder to shake should she accept. Skuld doubted she would be as effective as any of the master's but... She would do her best. Vaneera would need her to after all. However moving on to the subject of the Heartless... Yes they would be a problem. She would stand give a nod to show her intention to help. "For now... We need to find the source, if their is one. Make sure someone on the world isn't bringing them forth... Theirs a couple options honestly"Skuld rubbed her chin in thought, hmmm... What to do? ------ Cooldowns complete~

It seems his talk to Skuld had reached her well, as she changed her stance and general emotion rather quickly, even getting choked up for a moment...Were his words really that strong? He can't recall ever having touched someone that positively before. Even though he didn't display it, he was glad to have reached at least one person. She gave thanks to his cheering her up, to which he gave a simple nod. He didn't feel it necessary to say anything here. He only hoped whatever was causing her to slip into feeling self-doubt, those words would be enough to pull her back out of it. The darkness had a way of slipping through the cracks and making you believe that you were better off alone, that whatever you were dealing with was your weakness. It was a downward spiral that those unaware could be consumed by almost immediately; without a single warning. He gave a nod to Vaneera as well."They won't ever stop coming. So long as we carry these, they'll fight to extinguish our light. ... But we're stronger. Our job is a little easier knowing you're not alone. Don't ever forget that. Don't be afraid, that key will keep you safe."As for their impressive display...He didn't really want to talk about it, but he supposed being vague wouldn't hurt."I knew one in my day who was far stronger."A look of guilt crossed his face for a moment, it was a memory that, like Xehanort, he couldn't ever forget. The fact that he was responsible for the death of his master. Short of letting his friends fall into darkness, it was his greatest mistake. Something he didn't think he could ever bring himself to forgive. ... If he was able to come back from nothing, he feared perhaps...His master could as well. His look of guilt washed away as he tried quickly to cover it up with a faint smile. Noting that Vaneera wondered about his keyblade transformation, and his armor."The armor protects me from the darkness. My keyblade can transform to suit my various needs in performing my tasks. It takes years of training to be able to do these things."A straightforward though honest response. Certainly it was almost unheard of in this era, armored keyblade wielders, gliders, transforming blades... Still, more pressing was the matter of the darkness seeping into this world. While the other two were curious on how exactly to proceed, Terra had a solution to present."It could be a heart filled with darkness. Or this world's own heart hasn't been locked away yet. Either way, we have to start somewhere. I'd rather look around for answers than wait for them to come to us."___________ Dark Firaga (2/4) Vaneera Skuld

(Music)Vaneera listened closely when Skuld was talking about her powers over the Light. So, she was the best at using that element? Well, the effort certainly showed! Currently, the magic that Vaneera was best at was related to healing. Of course, that was still incredibly useful. "Well, it doesn't sound very corny at all! Seeing just how well you used the Light to combat the Heartless was something else, for sure. I'd struggle to do that with any of my magic -- Closest I could get would be my Strike Blitz technique.", she responds, clearly enjoying the conversation she was having with the two. It was also a little relieving to know that Skuld wasn't just that naturally talented. It was something she had to work towards as well. That meant that one day, Vaneera could be that skilled as well.
Though... It was definitely going to be a long journey. Now that she had a Keyblade, she was effectively teaching herself how to use it. She could make due, of course. But learning anything more advanced was going to be a very time consuming process as a result. Skuld would then approach Vaneera and make an interesting offer to her. One that the red haired girl didn't have to consider for very long. "Really?! You'd teach me?!", she couldn't exactly hide her surprise or her eagerness. Having a proper Keyblade Master teaching her what to do... Yeah, that was exactly what Vaneera needed right now! She would give an excited nod in response.
"OF COURSE I'll accept! This is exactly what I need to learn in order to keep my world safe!", she would then voice her agreement. What kind of luck was this, anyway? Getting a Keyblade and then finding a Master all in one day! After that, Skuld began to theorize on what it could be that was drawing the Heartless to this world. Vaneera joins in on the pondering. "Someone that could be drawing them here? That'd be pretty dangerous if so.", of course, there was the undeniable fact that the Heartless were being drawn here by the Keyblades too. Something that Terra commented on.
Yeah... For as long as Vaneera had this Keyblade, they'd keep coming. Well, there was no use worrying about that now. She still had a duty to perform, and she wasn't going to let a detail like that stop her. Although, the conversation turns a little bitter as Terra comments on knowing someone stronger in the past. She thought of asking him what he meant, but... It seemed like it would be better not to pry too much just yet. Besides, he was already answering her questions about the armor and changing the shape of the Keyblade. "Years to learn how to do that, huh? Well, I have plenty of time to learn how, at least!"
With all that said, the theories that Skuld and Terra had was that either someone was drawing here, or the 'Heart of the World' wasn't locked yet. "Well, I'm glad you two are here. We can cover a lot of ground, and we'll be better suited to deal with any threats!", she would then turn her attention to Skuld. "Master Skuld, I won't forget my training either. I know we'll have to fit that in alongside making sure my world is safe. I'll follow you and Terra on this.", with that... They at least had some ideas of what to keep an eye out for.
And Vaneera was happy to have made some new friends.Cooldowns: Strike Blitz (3/3) Skuld Terra

It was difficult for her to mull over her emotions in the face of Vaneera's optimism and the encouragment from Terra earlier. Her smile turned bright as the young keybearer offered her praise on her skills. Well she was new to all this, to being a keyblade wielder. As she continued along her path she would improve and her skills would grow and expand, including her magic. Skuld was certain of that. Her light would grow... A force to protect those she cared about. Skuld had no doubts of that. She already showed it in her effort fighting the heartless, as well as her attempt to save the child-even putting herself at risk to do so.
"As you continue on your journey you will grow Vaneera. You skills will expand as you grow physicully, mentally and otherwise"
Skuld could only chuckle a bit at Vaneera's exictment at her offer of training. She wss more than happy to help Vaneera grow. She could see her a heart that sought to protect others, her world and otherwise. Their was a light in her... One she would sure her masters would approve. She briefly wondered if this counted towards the question Forteller Invi asked her before. Well she didn't gift Vaneera her keyblade... But she was going to be her mentor. So half way? Ether way she would need to tell Invi, she had every intention of keeping her own master informed. Of course that would be later on. For now? She had other objectives to focus on.
"I am glad Vaneera, I promise I will do all I can do help your growth, we've got a lot to cover of course"
It wasn't a statement meant to insult Vaneera. No it was a simple statement of fact. She woudn't like to Vaneera and make her think she would become a master in a day. That would do nothing but hamper her growth in the long term. No she had every intention of being honest and forward with Vaneera if she was to be her student.
"But don't worry, I belive in you"
The two were exactly right. They would need to find the source of the Heartless. Because of this Skuld would have to work her apprentices training in between that. But that only applied to the more combat orented training. She could still teach her a different kind of lesson. Remaining in her kneeling positon Skuld dismissed her keyblade and pointed at Vaneera's chest with a smile.
"Lesson number one, let your heart be your guiding key. Vaneera, in the end you must always do what your heart feels is right, understand?"
Then she became quite flustered by what Vaneera said next. More caught off guard than anything else. To be fair she SHOULD have seen it coming. That was traditonally how the master student relationship went. Still she coudn't help but be surprised, rubbing the back of her hesd as she responded.
"Now now, just Skuld is fine Vaneera.... I'm far from being worthy of the title of master, plus... Were friends right?"
She then got back to her feet and gave a nod to Terra's thoughts on the matter. He was right of course. On both his explanations. Though she didn't quite have the experience to manipulate her keyblade or use the armor. It was something that made her a little nervous about being a master if she was being honest... But she'd simply have to do what she could to make sure she taught Vaneera properly.
"Of course, it woudn't be smart to wait for them to return. Whether it's by someone bringing them or because their out for the heart of this world... They need to be contained and stopped, I think we can all agree on that"
She woudn't allow more people or friends to be trapped or consumed by darkness. Past... or present.

"That's a positive way of looking at it, I suppose." Terra smiled a bit at Vaneera's optimism regarding how long it would take to really grasp advanced techniques such as keyblade transformation. That was true, she had time to learn. In a way, he could almost see his friends in Vaneera. Her actions, her words. it was just like him. He hoped that some day, maybe Vaneera could meet them. Until then though, his resolve couldn't be shaken, only once he knew they were safe could he let his guard down. Still, it concerned him that he could feel the pull of this world's source of darkness. It was very faint, but it was still there. Was this because of how he fell all those years ago?He tried to ignore it, but then he noticed Skuld's words. "let your heart be your guiding key..." those words spoke to him. They reminded him of his hope, and what he once deemed to work best. Just following one's heart. He gave a nod."We had better get moving. I'd rather find the dark than let it come to us."He headed off in a direction, as though he had a vague idea of where they needed to go. He couldn't be certain of that feeling, but it was the one thing he had to go on for finding the source of the heartless. much like Skuld, he didn't want to watch another world fall into darkness. Not again. He moved with determination in his very being. He summoned his keyblade, ready to fight if they felt brave enough to attack from the shadows. It was the first step towards making amends.___________ Dark Firaga (3/4)

Skuld raised a valid point. Vaneera would continue to grow now that she had her Keyblade, especially if the Heartless kept cropping up like they did. She'd get the hang of things sooner rather than later, most likely. Although more advanced techniques may take her a bit to learn... Still, she had a Mentor now, that would only be a net benefit to such an endeavor. Vaneera would respond with an understanding nod, it made perfect sense. Time was all she needed in order to catch up with either of them. Soon enough, she might be the one pulling off heroic rescues! That was something to look forward to, for sure.
With that out of the way, Skuld would also deliver a promise that she would do everything she could to help her grow in skill. “Right! I trust you!”, the red haired girl answered. There was no doubt in her mind that Skuld would have plenty of valuable lessons to impart to the newly formed Keyblade Wielder. The other girl would then state that she believed in Vaneera. Well, with something like that backing her up, Vaneera really had no excuse to fail, right? This was already making things look a lot better around here -- Not to mention just how easily they cleaned house against all of those Heartless.
All that aside, Skuld would then teach her very first lesson to Vaneera. One which caused her to grow thoughtful. “'Let your heart be your guiding key', huh? Yeah... I think I get it.”, she would then nod after saying those words for herself. It was effectively a fancy way of saying "do what you think is right", but it was one that she could get behind too. Simple, but efficient. As long as she does what she thinks is right, she wouldn't hold many regrets, yeah? “Got it!”, she would then add, confident in her understanding of the message.
Beyond that, it seems that Vaneera referring to her mentor as 'Master Skuld' caused a bit of flustering, the black-haired girl explaining that she wasn't worthy of the title, and they were friends anyway. “Eh? Are you sure? I don't really mind it. The person who helped me get this Keyblade had me call them 'Master', so... I just figured that was normal.”, the girl in the red hood then elaborates. Seeing Skuld so flustered about it was just slightly amusing, too. She didn't expect to see that happen -- But steadily reminded herself not to take advantage of that as well.
Everyone then seemed in agreement that they should start looking. There was just one problem, of course. No one really had an idea of where to go... And there was a lot of ground to cover in this city. That much was for sure. Terra was already taking the lead and setting off. She would keep pace, making sure that Skuld was coming along with. She still had her Keyblade rested on her shoulder, now growing thoughtful. “Hmm. San Fransokyo is pretty big, though. And you two haven't been here before, right? At least, you don't look like locals.”, she would then query.
“We'll have a lot of ground to cover in this city -- Lots of people, lots of places where the 'heart of the world' could be hidden. You know? We might be in this for the long haul.”, Vaneera mused aloud. She still hoped those two would be fine with this undertaking, since they had no ties to this place, after all. “Guess I better pick up the slack and really start getting better with the Keyblade! I can't expect you two to spend all of your time here after all.”, she then decides with a nod. Skuld likely had business to take care of elsewhere, and Terra... Well, he was looking for people.
Besides, Vaneera was already being prepared as the protector of this world, thanks to Blacknore's efforts.Skuld Terra

Skuld would smile, happy Vaneera seemed to understand the lesson she was trying to impart. Yes she would learn a lot but... For Skuld this was the most important for Vaneera to learn. She had to let her heart guide her. Her heart would know when other means did not. It would help her the most on her journey, all she had to do was listen to it. That being said... Their was a source of concern for her. It was this person that told Vaneera to call them master. She could be looking to far into it but that wording as well. It wasn't 'I inherited my Keyblade from them' It was 'the person who helped me get this keyblade' She supposed it could be the same thing to her. Their was always the chance that was the case but... It still worried her. Because if it wasn't inherited what means did this person use to allow Vaneera to summon her Keyblade? Skuld would frown in answer to the question itself after being lost in her thoughts for a moment.
"I know you only mean to be respectful Vaneera, but were friends now. I'm not helping you because I want something from you... I'm helping you because it's what my heart tells me, I want to help you grow but... I have a concern. It's not my intention to insult this man you call master... I'm sure he probably had his reasons... But how is it that he helped you obtain your Keyblade?"
Their was no ill intent behind her words. She simply had her concerns for new student. She wouldn't have someone taking advantage of her. Of course she wanted to assume as well this was simply a teacher student relationship and that was it. But she had her concerns... Ones she hoped would be addressed. So she mulled over her thoughts a moment before continuing.
"It is my hope that you have others in your life?"
On the next subject Skuld could only smile before shaking her head. Vaneera was her student now... Yet the way she spoke seemed to think Skuld was simply going to abandon her new friend and student at some point. Well no that simply wasn't the case. She had no intions of just leaving her student behind. Part of that was selfishness on her part, Skuld hated being alone. But it was for Vaneera as well.
"Seeing as I'm overseeing your training, unless you plan on traveling with me to other worlds I'll be here for a while, I don't break my promises, most of all to my friends. I won't be leaving you behind Vaneera"
Everything couldn't be learned in a day anyway. She would be to make sure she did this right.
"Besides... Trust me, every worlds big in one way or another. You won't be scaring us off I promise"
She gave a chuckle at that. No... She would not fail. Not anymore. She would not abandon her friends.
"But Terra is correct in any case, as I said before sitting here will do nothing... We'll need to be on our way. Ready to take the first step? That's another thing to remember... Never underestimate the worth of your friends... They'll stand by you when things seem their worst"
Right thay was something she knew better than anyone. She had witnessed it countless times from her old friends.
"Now then if your both read let's set off! We have a world to protect no?"
A bright smile followed her voice, she mean't every word. She wouldn't let things fall apart again.
No... This time she would make sure things changed. The light... Would survive.

So someone gave Vaneera the keyblade instead of her heart inheriting it? That wasn't correct... They didn't exactly sound like a "Master" to him...Something was up, he became suspicious.
"This person...Where are they now?"
He drew his keyblade from the ether once more, he had changed since that time so long ago, no more was he going to fall for the tricks of evil. Vaneera radiated light...But giving away keyblades wasn't a task to be given by faceless crowds. They had no right. Yet...The reason he drew the keyblade wasn't because of this mysterious person. Rather, it was because of a new development, what appeared to be a storm cloud appeared within sight, but it was far too dark to simply be something of a natural occurrence. He'd nod however, noting that this really WAS quite a large place.
"I'm...An outsider, I suppose you could say. But I can feel the dark drawing me towards it. You two should keep up, I'm going to settle this."
He rushed off in a hurry towards a large bridge adorned with red steel. His comment of the dark drawing him was so casually passing...He did hope neither of them would take note, however regardless there was no time to fumble over words and meaning, now was a time to act. A great cloud of black hung over that bridge in the distance as it seemed heartless were about to flood into the world from this place. If he didn't act immediately, it would run out of control and consume the entire world.
