Tournament Reviews This template is to be used for all Tournament reviews. It is the same form that staff uses. Please copy and paste the code from the bottom into the appropriate match review thread that has been created by the staff. Please do not create your own thread. You cannot review a thread that your character participated in. For every knowledgeable and well written review, you will gain 20 munny to the character account you post the review with. You may only post one review per thread. Please be sure that your review is detailed and informed. Site Rules still apply to raid reviews, so be polite and respectful. Everything a member posts is to be read as constructive criticism and is not to be taken as an attack. Any issues should be reported directly to a staff member. Damage Inflicted and Taken: What powers were used and what damage taken should be reviewed here, as well as the effects of any powers used. Basically, which side dealt more and which side took more damage. Key Points:- Overall damage inflicted
- Strategic use of items
- Overall combative dominance
Questions to Ask Yourself:How much damage would that skill have inflicted on the target? Would a skill be super effective against the character, such as using a potion against someone inflicted with zombie. Who caused the most damage? Which side would have probably won the fight. Skill and Style: This isn't for it being well written, but the creative style and effect of their strategy and if it also had a imaginative visual. Key Points:- In-Character Combat Style
- Skills used wisely
- Use of weaknesses and strength
Questions to Ask Yourself: Did the member stick to their character's fighting style? Did they set them up in a way that would have been hard to defend against? Did that character use their unique/individual fighting style, or 'X-factor' to their best advantage? Did they use their known written powers in such a way that they normally wouldn't use them? Did someone feel out-of-character? Who controlled the battle? Who was more dominant with how the flow of battle went against the other? Did a character seem to be reacting to attacks more than being the one to inflict them? Did one player keep the other on their toes more than the other? Did one character seemed more defensive, calm and collected than the other? Did one person execute an ingenious strategy to win? Did one character identify the other's weaknesses or use their opponent's strength against them? Did a character start at a loss, only to turn it around and gain the flow and control of the battle in their favor? Did a character seem to just use attacks and throw them at the opponent, or used them in a way that was hard for the opponent to fight/defend/counter against? Descriptive Writing and Sportsmanship: How well did the member write and describe their actions and surroundings. This also includes if a character did not explain themselves or were not justified in their movements or dodging. Key Points:- Stayed In-Character
- Easy to Understand
- Overall fairness
Questions to ask yourself: Did they justify certain movements and their character's fight style? Whether their post was short or long, where they able to explain their actions to the reader and get their point across? Did you question any actions or abilities a character did make? How well did you understand their writing? Did they dodge an attack that should have otherwise harmed them? Did they ignore or shrugged off attacks or write that the attacks had no effect on them? Did they seem to know something about their opponent that otherwise their character wouldn't know? Did a character do something you felt was not fair or use a power not listed/misuse a power listed on their application? Who had the best sportsmanship, and was fair to the other team in taking damage? Did someone take a hit that they probably could have dodged? Did a team take hits that they knew they couldn't dodge realistically? Damage Inflicted and Taken: Wow, this was one heck of a match! But in the grand scheme of things, only one person really took a lot of damage here, and that would be Xigbar. Prompto and Namine had surprisingly great teamwork, and it shows in how they were able to keep control of the battle despite dealing with a powerful member of the Organization. Xigbar practically ended up at the mercy of their strategies. Though it's not like it was all for naught. Namine still took some damage, but nothing that would keep her down. [******Damage Taken: Xigbar - Damage Inflicted: Namine & Prompto******] Skill and Style: Prompto absolutely nailed it, and Namine did great as well. Poor Nick, you could feel for him throughout the entire match. And then there's Xigbar... Oh boy. Xigbar was perfect too. It's honestly hard for me to pick out a winner for this category, but I'm going to lean in favor of Namine and Prompto, because their style meshed together wonderfully. They kept control over the battle for the entire ride, but it didn't feel unfair either. There were opportunities for their opponents to shine. I'm a little disappointed that Nick didn't get the chance to fight, admittedly. But it's hard to say that it's a fault of any of the writers. Point to Prompto and Namine! [******Prompto & Namine******] Descriptive Writing and Sportsmanship: Maaan. This is probably the toughest category here! Everyone did so well, I liked everyone in this match. They all felt natural. But if we're going to talk about who was most in character, I am going to give that honor to Xigbar. This is a man that understands the character! He perfectly sold his opponent's actions too. I also liked the dynamic between Nick, Namine and Prompto. They really showed a great sense of sportsmanship in that they didn't hate someone who was clearly in their first fight, and was even giving them tips and helping them. Nick didn't get the chance to have a proper fight, and that's a bit of a shame. But I like to think that Namine and Prompto would have made it fair for him, considering he ended up with Xigbar as teammate. Ultimately I'm handing the point to Namine and Prompto, and that's only because I can't say "you all did great!" [******Namine & Prompto******] Match Winner: ***** Namine & Prompto ******

Damage Inflicted and Taken: Namine and Prompto basically dominated this fight the moment Gravisphere was used. Nick was basically immobile most of the fight and it allowed Prompto to face off against Xigbar with Namine supporting him. In the end Xigbar took a lot of damage from the two. [******Namine and Prompto******] Skill and Style: Prompto had a great array of different abilities to counter and use against Xigbar. Namine’s telepathy also proved very helpful in this fight as well as it allowed Prompto to go into this fight well prepared to deal with Xigbar. Xigbar started off great but dealing with the two proved way too much to handle alone [****** Namine and Prompto ******] Descriptive Writing and Sportsmanship: Props to everybody for keeping things in character. The writing was quite good and I really enjoyed reading over Namine and Xigbar’s interaction. Namine and Prompto win this section due to how well they worked together. Nick spend most of the fight stuck in the Gravisphere so there was a lack of team work between him and Xigbar. Namine and Prompto both showed great sportsmanship as they spent most of the fight worrying over Nick and even made the attempt to find him a partner when Tifa didn’t show up. [****** Namine and Prompto ******] Match Winner: ***** Namine and Prompto ******

Damage Inflicted and Taken: Unfortunately for Xig and Nick, this fight became a 2 v 1 from the first attack, though Xigbar had a VERY impressive and strong start, his attacks were either negated or barely hit their mark. His summons were felled in short order and Nick...Well, Nick kinda just got swept up in the chaos completely unaware. Meanwhile Namine took some damage as well, though clearly not enough to have an effect. With Prompto's gravity sphere, and the lucky strike with Quicksilver, had the fight continued another round Xigbar would have been severely disadvantaged. This one goes to Prompto and Namine no doubt.
[******Prompto/Namine******] Skill and Style: Prompto and Xigbar were my absolute favorites in this category. Polar opposites with matching weapons was an amazing showdown that's reflected perfectly in this thread. Xigbar's starting strategy was to overwhelm, though while this was a powerful choice, Prompto was on top of the situation, immediately shutting down this attempt in what has to be the smartest use of a skill I've seen in this entire tournament. While Namine's abilities did perfectly to compliment Prompto's own in a spectacular showing of teamwork, working in conjunction with his damage dealing to put up a line of defense.
With this kind of teamwork, Nick and Xig sadly didn't stand a chance in this category either. Had things progressed further, it would have spiraled downwards further for them.
[****Prompto/Namine******] Descriptive Writing and Sportsmanship: This was another hard choice. Though ultimately I have to side with Xigbar and Nick in this area. I admittedly found Namine's posts a bit hard to follow (Sorry, Namine!), but they give her a very fitting response to combat considering Namine never fights in the games themselves, so props for that! And though Prompto's writing was fantastic and fun to read, Xigbar's was probably the most descriptive of the lot, conveying perfectly what he was doing down to the finest detail. And well, this guy really knows the character. Xigbar was absolutely Xigbar here, as though he jumped straight out of the games. Though I feel Nick could have done more to escape his situation, I do respect his choice to take the gravity attack in a display of great sportsmanship and hope that he gets another chance to fight again down the line.
Namine's attempts to help Nick out of his predicament was absolutely surprising as well, a very good display of fairness considering she could have just ignored him and focused on Xigbar. Both sides did very well here and I enjoyed the fight! But for the listed reasons I gotta throw at least one bone to Xigbar and Nick, you two fought your hardest!
[*****Xigbar/Nick******] Match Winner: ***** Prompto/Namine ****** There's absolutely no contest ultimately. Xigbar got one of his limbs fractured, Nick was caught in a gravity well, and both Namine and Prompto were going on very strong into the next round of battle. They would have overwhelmed Xigbar in a 2 v 1 scenario, and though I can very much see them giving Nick a fair chance, he got a run of badluck in his first fight sadly. Still, this was a good one! Good job to both sides regardless of the winner.
