(This takes place right after my RP Sample in my character app so please read it when you have a chance.)
It had been a few minutes since the boy had arrived in the streets of this new world. He had barely escaped the clutches of those strange black monsters in that weird realm. His memories of everything that had went on were so blurry and seemed to be a dream. However, he knew that something had happened to his family and more importantly, his world. Many emotions began to rush through the newly orphaned boy's mind; loneliness, hopelessness, worry, doubt, and despair.
Akemi was deep in thought outside of the noisy bar. The sounds of men and women laughing, fighting, and clinging glasses together filled the air with the scent of alcohol and smoke. Somehow he was able to tune everything out while he focused on his train of thought. Slowly he was piecing what had happened together bit by bit. It was all so much and confusing. How could he have power like this? It made no sense to him. He was just a low class boy in a low class family in the slums of Novos. Maybe it was because of that weird storm and black creatures. No. That couldn’t be it… It would be way too convenient if it were just for the sole purpose was to give him power and…hurt someone with it. Turning his head to the side, he looked at the sword he had snatched from a dead knight before changing and getting sucked into his place. This sword belonged to a soldier, a hero of his land. This wasn’t meant to be in the hands of a peasant like himself. ”…You’re right…You’re worthless…” Holding his head, he tried to block out the voice again. ”Stay out of my head!” He said to himself and like before, it vanished.
The voice was more active than before but it had to be the fact that he was exhausted and stressed. Hell, who wouldn’t be after nearly becoming a monster and murder the people around while being attack by black shadow monster things. However, he knew that sitting around wasn’t going to help him much. With sigh, he was about to stand up when he hit his head on something. Immediately, he began to hold the back of his skull and move forward to make sure that wouldn't happen again. His eyes glanced over to see that he had hit the wooden shutters of a window upon standing up. Oh what lovely luck. ”Geez…thank god my hair is okay. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if he had been caught in the hinges or damaged.” He giggled to himself as he ran his fingers through his hair.
The boy turned around to look into the open window as he tried to see who was inside. The moment his teal eyes gazed into the window, he noticed a large crowb of people in the bar. His hues scanned through the bar. There were so many different races of people in one place. From humans to animal like creatures; they all were enjoying themselves. This was so strange, never in his life had he ever seen animals that had human characteristics. The boy would be in a much big state of shock if it wasn't for the events that took place just moments ago. This was nothing compared to those monsters and him maybe being a monster. Akemi noticed his lips and throat were kinda dry though. It had been awhile since he had something to drink. Thank goodness he was outside of a bar, it would be his first time too. Both excited and nervous, he walked away from the window and to the front door. The bar was located right outside of the main plaza and what looked like the ciy's gate. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes and pushed forward through the swinging doors. The moment that he stepped through the doorframe, he was bombarded by the thick smell of not only smoke but many different types of alcohol. Geez, this place reminded him of the group of guard that would hangout out around the town.
Slowly and carefully he dodged stumbling men and women that weren’t aware of his surroundings. The moment he got to bar, a group of men were threw out of their stools for flirting with someone’s wife. Dear lord, if this was how all drunk people were he would stay away from that horrid elixir. Akemi just shrugged and sat in one of the stools while the barkeep motioned the boy with his eyebrows as if he was asking what he wanted. ”O-Oh sorry, could I trouble you for a glass of water?” The Barkeep didn’t say a word but he could tell that he was annoyed by the request. Within seconds, he dropped the glass of water in front of him. Akemi reached down to see if he had money on him but the Barkeep just shook his hand refusing money for the beverage. ”Thank you Sir.” He replied to his kindness. Not wasting a single second, Akemi lifted the glass and took a big gulp of the cold liquid. The refreshing feeling of moister returning to his lips and throat was just so satisfying. At least one thing was going right so far.

Zidane had come down here with Cinna. For reasons well known his visitations bordered on obsessive. After his last 'expedition' into Alexandria he had abandoned rehearsals with little more reason than his brain had made a wayward journey into his pants. While far less lascivious than most would assume of the man who could name every girl in Lindblum.... But, nevertheless the reasons of his actions or the romantic gestures of his spontaneous sending -- there would still be a punishment waiting for him back home. He had little choice but to endure his chaperone this time around because the rogue was quartered off from all means of transportation without Cinna's permission. Naught was more woeful than having Cinna in charge. His wayward whims were indulgent at best and hedonistic at worst. How long were they stopped at the station for coffee and cake?! "You added half a day to this trip!" The rogue complained, squeezed somewhere with the gorilla-faced thief on at another end of the pub. "Yeah well, I can't help it! It was worth it! I never get to take a break there with the others, always rushing!" The Hammer wielding compatriot defended. The Tantalus brothers seemed to blend in amongst the rat-like Burmecians, and dog like laborers that dotted the city. Just as common were the ram-like businessmen or shady fish-faced vendors, but all in all despite he menagerie of races it seemed just a normal day. No fire breathing dragons or behemoth faced smugglers seemed to be regulars. The environment was relaxed, despite the air being thick with ale. It was never a good idea to cause much trouble with the Alexandrian soldiers regularly patrolling, let along if a Pluto Knight caught your hand in the cookie jar. A heavily drunk dog faced man prowled up to Akemi. "Hey babe... -hic- wanna see me beat this scrub at arm wrasslin'?" Of course by such he meat his compatriot who seemed far less thrilled at the leisurely challenge."N-now -hic-," His human-like partner pressed. "A-ah'll kick yer arse at wrasslin' an' take this cutie out ona d-hic-ate." He sloppily dragged over his words.Zidane and Cinna watched from their side. The red nosed troupe member parted his jaws, his drink barely passing his lips. Zidane held up his hand and shook his head. He was almost tempt to see how it would play out, but knowing what they may do if it went on too long... Cinna looked to Zidane, confused. There seemed to be a silent discussion between them.'Playing hero again?''That's not a girl!''You're shitting me!''I mean it almost looks like one, but look at her hips!''Why? Look at her hair!''Man, don't be stupid!'While they silently motioned about look a pair of idiots the drunken slobs surrounded Akemi at either side. "Uh oh." Cinna chirped and sipped his ale."Man..." Zidane jumped down from where they say in the corner and walked forward, the pair having bought some drinks for the red haired 'maiden'. Folding his arms behind his head he made a face. "What are you two, fairies? I mean he's nice looking and all, but didn't think you were into that sort of thing." The mouthy rogue didn't much like guys like that.Sure he flirted with a lady sometimes but the way these two were acting really put a hitch on the whole idea of respecting a girl. It was a little gross and he suppose it showed in how he responded to it. He'd be right mad if anyone treated Dagger like that. Not that she couldn't sock a thug or two. but treating her like she was some--"You know that's weird coming from you--" Cinna groused aloud.Zidane feigned stretching and flipped Cinna off with a pair of birds, flying high. Sure okay! So he got a bit mouthy in the past with girls too, but that wasn't who he was anymore!"A guy?!" The dog barked. "You tryin' ta trick me ya fairy!?" With a burst of anger and embarrassment, mostly embarrassment, the canine worker went to throw the rest of his drink on Akemi, but would not quite have the coordination in his inebriated state and tumble forward, his friend shouting out."Hey! Isn't our fault he's actin' all weak an' demure tryin' ya get free drinks!" But in his fury he fumbled backwards, hitting a guy next to him who became angered and swung at the guy. It wouldn't be long until fists and mugs were flying at the domino effect of curses and drunk fury. Cinna remained sitting and drinking. "You're a bastard Zid." The blond rogue shrugged! It totally wasn't what he meant to do! He was trying to help!
"Oh shit!" Zidane ducked when a mug full of ale came flying over his face.

The smell of ale filled the air around and the breath of those near the boy. That smell was all too common to him due to living in the lower quarters of his city back home. Most of the men that lived there, with the except of his parents, would drink until their coin porch were completely empty. Akemi snapped out of his short trip down memory lane when two men approached him. They were clearly intoxicated by the way they held themselves up and the way they spoke. His ears twitched bit from under his long crimson mane as he heard them referring to Akemi as ‘babe’ and ‘cutie’. A soft blushed formed on his cheeks for two reasons, one from the flirting and two from embarrassment.
These two were clearly mistaking him for a woman which was common for him sadly. ”N-No thank you…there is no need for all of this…” He said as he tried to slowly step away from the two. He nervously laughed to himself as he knew that this was just a time bomb waiting to go off.
"What are you two, fairies? I mean he's nice looking and all, but didn't think you were into that sort of thing.”
And there it went. Someone approached the small group and saw Akemi for who he was. However, the two drunken men weren’t all too thrilled. The dog tried to throw his drink at the red head but lost his footing doing so. The other tried to do the same but ended up hitting someone else in the process.
This caused a fight to break out and soon, everyone in the bar was brawling among each other. Ale, mugs, chairs, and even tables were thrown around like it was nothing. This had turned into a massive ballroom blitz. Akemi tried his best to dodge and get out of the way of the projectiles when he ended up near the man who called him out.
”Y-You know you could have handled that more delicately you know!!” Akemi shouted out through the loud noise that was surrounding the area. His teal eyes studied the man though. He looked pretty normal compared to the others, well that is, until Akemi saw his tail. Was he part monkey or something? This place was so strange but honestly the red head had no room to talk about being strange. Akemi snapped out of his thoughts as he heard someone barking at him. As the boy turned to face the source of the sound, he watched the canine running towards him. The anger in his eyes and the baring of his teeth caused the hairs on the back of Akemi’s neck to rise.
Everything around the boy seemed to slow down as he covered his face with his arms and closed his eyes. As he did this, something happened. The air around the bar dropped in temperature instantly. A loud yelp filled the air with the sounds of cracking and popping. Akemi opened his eyes slowly as they locked on to what had happened. ”Oh no…it happened again…" He thought to himself as he slowly began to step back, frightened at what he had just done. The fist that belonged to the dog that was trying to strike Akemi had been frozen in a thin layer of ice. The room raged on around them as if the it was just a cold breeze that had blanketed the bar. His heartbeat pounded in his ears as panic began to take over. How did the boy do that? How did that happen? How could he use magic now? What was going on here?

Cinna remained in his seat, watching the brawl swell to a crescendo as the new owner underestimated a crowd tainted by Tantalus. The original owner, Ashley, had moved to work for Ruby in the Mini-Theater and with her iron heel nothing like this would have ever happened, which is why the two brothers came here instead. Glass shattered and curses were flung by tenor voices, slurred to an indiscernible sort of babble that filled the air with the song of excitement. Zidane had ducked just in time as a way ward mug flew overhead and beaned an unsuspecting Burmecian Red Mage relaxing from a long day. And that was when the fun began... the annoyed Red Mage pulled a flare up of magic in his hand. Luckily the nezumi's inebriated state made his spell pathetic, but it caused a few shocks nevertheless as the lightning spell was burst into a crowd.
Zidane stood and folded his arms behind his head as his tail would compensate for the male's one legged stance: the rouge finding balance as his right foot came to tuck behind his left heel. "Eh delicately doesn't suit me. You would have been worse off if they found out after." He's quip.
If Trouble had a name it was Zidane Tribal. Meaning well he sometimes caused the most mischief in his attempts to help out a friend. Damn the consequences right? His sapphire eyes went wide as the drunken dog had made a swing for Akemi who would cower. Zidane sneered in annoyance. It wasn't the guys fault the dog was a drunk asshole! The rouge launched forward with all of his weight. At the last minute he reminded himself to pull his punch, but it hadn't been enough. Zidane was sober and had more control over his body than the current lout, but it was also a disadvantage he was trained for combat unlike some laborer. The thief's fist contacted with the dog square in the nose, sending him flying into his buddy who just went onto another target when all hope for Akemi was lost.
The garbled cry was heard as they collided and rolled into a table, upturning it causing the bottles and mugs to crash to the ground with a turbulent rattle and bash! A few people gasped as the splash of liquid hit them in the face, only fueling anger towards the menaces.
"Uh oh!" Cinna navigated, safe on his perch. He looked around before reaching up on the moulding sticking out the wall. He had laid his hammer there when they settled for their drink. "Get outta here Zid, I'll hold 'em off!" He took a moment to chug the rest of his drink and jumped into the fray, most literally, body slamming into the crowd that had set their sights on Zidane and Akemi.
Zidane moved down to kneel by the boy's side. "Hey, you okay?" He called. "We gotta run before--" But it seemed fate had other plans for the pair as the furious Red Mage stood over them."Y-you bastards spilled my driiink!" The Drunk Burmecian raised his paw, which was palmed a sloppy fire spell, the tongues of flames splattering down like burning hail. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

A long figure walked down one of the many back alleys of this vast, bustling city, a foreign air about them as they cautiously ventured forth, passing stacks of barrels and crates, conversing citizens and patrolling guards. This city wasn't like any other they had visited before. The smell was off, the people were off, the architecture was off. Off, yet familiar at the same time and the more this lone figure walked, the more this place grew familiar yet different. Though the one thing that was standing out like a sore thumb, was that some of the souls who walked the streets with her, appeared to be fully animalistic. While the lone wanderer had cat ears tail, others she walked passed were straight up bipedal wolfs or hippos. It came as no surprise then that no one seemed to bat an eye at her own tail. Perhaps this was a common thing of the people in this city? Though the black-haired miqo'te did wonder why she had never come across other humanoid dogs and hippos before. Said thought caused the armour-wearing wanderer to reach into the satchel hanging from their shoulder and pull out a small, worn, ancient looking leather-bound journal, a pencil tied to a string bound the book closed.
Upon loosening the binds from the journal, the figure scribbled something down within before a long, deep growl echoed down the street she walked. ”Uh... Err?” Bright blue eyes glanced down to observe her stomach, which apparently was the culprit for that recent grumble. Come to think on it, when -was- the last time she ate something? Ever since she saw that black squiggly Lalafell with yellow eyes in the Twelveswood, she'd been on the search for her dearest of companions; her trusted chocobo. She remembered them both riding through the forests when everything just went... black. Next thing she knew she was waking up down the alley of some street she didn't recognize. Maybe getting something to eat is a good idea... Won't be able to focus fully if I’m exhausted., she thought, a nod of her head following. Binding up her journal and returning it to her satchel, the cat-eared wandered checked her person for her belongings. Sword; check, satchel; check, gil; check. Right, everything was here.
Pressing onwards, the black-haired miqo'te soon heard the brawling tavern before she saw it. Ears twitching in interest at the sound of a fight, the cat followed the sounds and soon found herself pushing the tavern doors open and slipping inside. Wow, this place was a battlefield. Was there a Garlean in here or something and everyone in their drunken states just started throwing fists? The miqo'te felt her hands twitch and nearly curl into fists. No, as much as she'd love to get involved, she had more pressing issues then nursing her wounds on an empty stomach. Though seeing the state this bar was in, it was probably unlikely she was going to get to fill her stomach. Ducking under an empty wooden tankard that was hurled in her vague direction, the miqo'te's sharp eyes noticed an icicle on the far side of the room. That... seemed out of place. The red-haired girl... no, boy... girl? The wanderer narrowed her eyes and squinted at the stranger. Boy. The red-haired boy looked to be in a state of shock. Was he the one responsible for the icicle? Though upon further inspection, a dog-faced humanoid was trapped within it. So he was a mage? Mage's were usually fairly intelligent. Perhaps he would know where her chocobo was? Her ears perked upright with a new found hope as she started to squeeze her way through the brawl and head towards the red-haired lad.
Speaking of mages, the miqo'te noticed a rat-faced one standing before both the red-haired mage and the shorter blonde fellow in blue standing beside him. Wriggling quickly through the kafuffle, narrowly avoiding a flying fat fellow with some serious stubble on his face, the cat-eared stranger approached the red mage, snagging the wrist of their raised arm and jerking them around to face her. ”I need to talk to him. Go away.”, the stranger hissed as a the crack of her forehead smashing into the Burmecian's nose ended his little plot for revenge over a split drink, or whatever insult had caused him to join the fray. Letting the red mage's body collapse onto the floor in a heap, the blue-eyed miqo'te turned her attention to the red-haired boy and his blue-clothed friend, her ears tipped backwards to listen for any approaching fists or tankards. Her eyes narrowed into a sharp glare, her frown cold and calculated. ”You, boy... I need to ask you something.”, she asked. Her voice was surprisingly delicate considering the look in her eye and the way she disposed of the Burmecian.

What was going on? How was this even possible? So many question swarmed and fluttered through his mind endlessly. Never in his life was he able to cast magic until right now. His teal eyes looked at the palm of his hands. They trembled as his body shuddered from the panic that surged through every inch of his body.
Remnants of the frost remained around his hands. It shimmered in the light of the bar as a thin, cold mist vaped around them. His hands seemed to be ice cold but they weren't. There was no cold feeling or pain from the ice over his hands. Was this what magic was like? How did he summon it? His heart raced in his chest and he could have sworn that is much louder than the fight going on in the bar. The yells and sounds around him were muffled and just background noise, even the voice of man who tried to help him was muffled out. The only thing that he could hear was his heart's loud beats.
Akemi's hues looked at the canine that stood in front of him, covered in a thin layer of ice. His body was frozen in place and his face was locked in place with a horrifying look on it. Oh god...what did he do?! Akemi took two steps back as he began to panic even more. Flashbacks from just a few hours ago began to speed by in his mind. The fear in the peoples' eyes, their cries of pain and fear, and their blame placed upon the boy for the beast that he had become. However, Akemi was brought back to reality when he heard a loud thud in front of him. He snapped out of his memories as he watched a red mage fall to the ground. As soon as the red mage hit the floor, the fire spell flew off toward the froze dog and melted the ice around him. The drunken canine fell to the ground and seemed to have fainted from the experience or the from the ale.
Either way, he seemed to be okay but there was much bigger problems now. The boy's eyes locked hues with a...cat woman. She had been responsible for knocked out the red mage just a few moments ago but now, it seemed that he was her next target. She stood before him and seemed to have a very demanding pose and feeling to her which was quite frightening and intimidating. She had a question for him and honestly this wasn't good. "N-No!! S-Stay back!! I-I didn't mean to!! I-I just...I..." Akemi tried to speak but was too frightened to even speak normally. He trembled in front of the two as he just didn't know what to do. All he knew was that he had to get away from everyone. He didn't need a repeat of what happened back in his city. Akemi didn't want to get anyone else hurt or become...that thing again.

Zidane noticed the worry in Akemi's face. The guy probably didn't mean to freeze up the pup, but he sure needed to cool off. The rogue gently tapped the boy's shoulder as he crouched beside him.
"Hey, at least he's going to give you the cold shoulder now!" Zidane laughed out.
"That was freaking stupid!" Cinna shouted, shunning the pun, as he pushed to stand after being bowled over by the crowd, only to be tackled and dragged into a pile. "Waah!"
Akemi scuttled back and a few mishaps later the dog was face down in a drunken stupor. The rogue pushed to stand as a woman swept in and had her way with the Red Mage. Whoa, that was a bit much. He rolled his shoulders and approached the two, ducking down as two Alexandrian Soldiers burst in as the commotion rose to a point where magic was being used in public space.
"I'm as eager to get to know you two, but we should get the hell out before we spend a night in the dungeon for drunk and disorderly magic use." He wiggled his brows and moved to try and grab Akemi's arm, the stammering mess seemed hardly able to focus.
Zidane would push his way out, using bodies as shields as the two soldiers moved to get a handle on the situation. It was a mess, what with the chandelier on fire, and a few tables and chairs broken, or tossed over the bar's counter. He was thankful for Cinna for distracting the lot so they could have a chance. The rogue would try and lead the two towards the upstairs of the pub, where the pubmaster's bedroom was. He made way to over one of the windows and pushed it up. They were a floor above the ground level, but luckily the roofs expanded out, the stone tile easy to walk across. Zidane hurried out one of the windows with a hop, the front door obviously a bad idea.
"Come on you two!" They were height up but the tailed man seemed to have no trouble strolling out and hopping the space between two roofs, to the one beside the pub's. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

The chaos spreading around them was getting out of hand, but the blue-eyed Miqo'te kept her gaze on the red-head, watching him like she'd throw a fist his way were he to even flinch. It was an unintentional stare. She wasn't all that used to meeting and greeting strangers, especially when she was feeling alone and vulnerable. Her defence dials were turned to the maximum which what was fuelling the fire in her eyes and the malice and aggression in her stance. The poor red-head looked like he had just murdered someone, what with how he was trembling and couldn't find words to speak. The sight of him looking so weak almost made the female Miqo'te feel disgusted. Yet the evidence that he had power within him was right beside the three of them... well, it was, before the icicle imprisoning the dog fellow melted. The gentle slosh of water rose against the edge of her toe-less leather boots, the cold liquid causing the black-haired female to break eye contact with the red-head and peer down at her feet to see what was touching her.
Movement in front of her caused the cat-eared stranger to look up, her hardened stare focusing on the blonde in blue. The way he rolled his shoulders caused the black-haired Miqo'te to frown, her left hand gripping the end of her scabbard with a thumb bent up against the hand guard, ready to flick the blade out if needs be. Yet the blonde stranger ducked when it appeared he spotted something he didn't want to. With her ears still turned behind her, there was no sound of a fist flying her way or a plate or mug hurtling in her direction. Mind you, the racket in here was getting rather overwhelming with people yelling insults and grunting in both pain and anger. Muffled amongst the brawl was the distinct sound of rustling armour, one the Miqo'te heard enough of to cause her to look over her shoulder, blue eyes focusing on the soldiers charging in. ”Tch...”, the female tutted, frowning at what looked like the governing body's militia arriving. The voice of the blonde in blue speaking up turned the Miqo'te's head back his way, her eyes narrowing sharply at the sight of him wriggling his eyebrows, causing her tail to flick from side to side in annoyance. That was something Ga'rhen'a did and seeing this... 'kid' do it, irked her.
Watching the blonde 'escort' the red-head over towards the stairs at the far end of the tavern, Kira's eyes lit up for half a second when spotting the swinging tail poking out the back of the blonde's blue pants. Wait, was he a Miqo'te too? No, surely not. He didn't have the same ears as her and his tail was more... well... not-Miqo'te. He also smelt funny and was surprisingly short for a male. There weren't any facial markings either. No, he certainly wasn't Miqo'te, but why did he have a tail? Questions for later. If she didn't move now, she was going to lose sight of the red-head and she still had questions to ask him. Slipping around, dodging between, ducking under; Kira made her way through the brawl with as much grace as a dancer... or perhaps a duelist. Following the two up the stairs, she turned into the pubmaster's bedroom and took a moment to observe the architecture and various decorations and furniture dotted around the room. Some of this looked sort of familiar, but you've seen chair, one desk and one bed and you've seen them all, right? A click and squeak of the window opening brought her attention to the blonde in blue and she walked over to the window when he climbed through.
Peering over her shoulder, the black-haired Miqo'te frowned at the red-head and jerked her head towards the open window; a 'hurry up' look in her eye. Waiting for him to go first, Kira glanced back at the door leading out to the hallway before she followed suit and climbed out the window. She didn't seem at all bothered by the height and even walked to the edge of the roof to peer over and look down at the mess that was inside the tavern, spilling out onto the streets. There were a couple more armoured soldiers out here cleaning things up, sending people on their way, detaining some of the more agitated patrons. Blinking slowly and backing up from the edge, the female stranger turned about and continued on after the blonde in blue. ”Where are we going, exactly? From the way you ducked earlier, I assume you've had run-ins with the guards before?”, the female asked as she hopped the gap between the buildings, her tail swishing gently from side to side to help her keep balance.

There was so much chaos going on that Akemi just couldn’t take much more of this. The fighting, the noise, and now this new magic that he just unlocked; this was a lot to take in. As the water from the freshly melted ice coated the floor, the boy felt a hand on his shoulder. His eyes darted from the scary woman to Zidane who was trying to calm him down by using a terrible joke. Even with all the fear, worry, and confusion; Akemi was able to smile a bit from it. Even his friend agreed that it was a bad joke too as he shouted from the fight. As cringey as it was, he was right. The canine stopped his rampage and was safe from the looks of it. However, the boy knew that he was a danger to everyone if he stayed in the middle of this mess.
Akemi wasn’t in the best of mental states right now and maybe once things were calm, he could get some answers from these two. His teal hues turned to the woman as she seemed to be more and more irritated by the surroundings. What exactly did she want from him? He had never seen her before so why him out of everyone here? Was it because of his magic? Once again, his overthinking was kicking in but there would be a time and place of this. Zidane ducked instantly for some reason. Akemi looked over to the entrance we two soldiers decided to storm the place. Oh no…this was not good. Zidane took this moment to grab his arm and take off running to the stairs.
Akemi didn’t really have a choice in the matter as he was being dragged like a rag doll up to the second floor. ”H-Hey!! W-Where are we going?” He said as they both ran into a bedroom. It was filled with many items and sadly, very tacky patterns and furniture. Either this person was blind or just really hated themselves to have such bad taste. Other than that, it was just a standard room with a bed, desk, and a chair. While judging the level of taste of the owner of this room, he noticed that the woman had followed them. Oh this wasn’t going to be good at all. She must be really determined to ask him something if she was willing to follow them all the way here. Zidane called out to the two of them as he climbed out of the window. Boy, he was fast! Before he could even do anything, the female feline gave him a look of ‘go first now or else.’ Gulping, Akemi wasted not time with arguing about this.
The red head climbed out slowly out the window to see that the roof extended out a bit to where he could stand. The titles were made of stone and seemed very sturdy. Akemi took to the top of the roof as he took a moment to take in the sights. This city was beautiful. Between the town itself with its architectural style to the geography, everything flowed nicely together. But what really caught his attention was the castle to the north of the city. It wasn’t just any ordinary caste, it literally had a blade pointing straight to the sky. The stars reflected off of the mass steel with gentle hues of blue and red from the twin moons. This placed seemed to have come straight out of a fairy tale.
However, he was snapped out of his thoughts as he heard the voice of the woman once again. He looked over to where Zidane was as he jumped over to the next rooftop. Walking over to the edge, Akemi looked down and at the ally below. The soldiers were doing their best to contain the fight so time was on their side for now. The boy jumped over to the next roof but stumbled a bit as he fell down. Curse his clumsiness. Now was not the time for that. Getting back to his feet, he looked over to Zidane and began to rub the side of his arm a bit nervously. ”T-Thank you for earlier…Mister?...” He stopped as he didn’t know exactly what to call him. With everything going on, Akemi had forgotten to ask for his name.

Zidane stood on the roof across from where they wee. His arms would fold behind his head, fingers netting together to give his skull something to rest against. Below he could see the warrior maidens carting off the drunkards for a night in the dungeons. It would cool their heads. He watched as Cinna was dragged away by his boot, the unconscious man too heavy to carry even for the valkyrion warriors.
"Ahhh well, not like this is the first time for him, but..." He scratched at his chin before looking back, hearing the pair hobble through the window finally. "Hey! You two okay?" He called as he beckoned them over to the other rooftop with a wave of his arm.
It was hard to tell by his face alone but the rogue seemed quite young. His face was a bit dirty, but otherwise he lacked the mature charm that Cinna displayed. Far less monstrous and nothing like the Red Mage or laborour! He wore a simple outfit, though quite nice making him appear far from a pauper but hardly a noble. A simple teal vest and jodhpurs with a series of belts that held up his scabbard and satchel. His white, sleeveless shirt was messily tucked into the band of his pants and a series of swathing cloth seemed to peek out from beneath the cuff of his thick gloves. His hair was the same sandy blonde his tail was, the limb quite long and naturally curling towards the end to keep it from scraping against the ground.
"Far from here. My friend has a theater aways off, we can go there to lay low a bit and maybe get this guy something for his head." Zidane cringed at Akemi. "Just Zidane, okay?" He pushed his hands out to brush off the word. Ugh.
He wasn't even that old yet! shaking it off the rouge walked along the tiled roof with casual ease. It was a bit of a distance, but they had time. The city seemed to be a castle town with various homes close enough together to create walkways and where there wasn't a path it seemed scaffolding and makeshift bridges of discarded planks did to serve even the peasantry with a means to quickly travel along the roofs. About three houses down there would be a stone arch leading across the street. Zidane pointed to it, their goal, as they needed to cross the gate to get to the roofs across the way.
"Man that was quick thinking freezing that guy, you okay? You looked to be having a rough time." No thanks to him, though. But it didn't seem like the youth was a malicious sort, just a bit rowdy, if nothing else. By the dagger he carried at his side and the way he went on in the pub he seemed more a delinquent than some highwayman. Even the finery he wore didn't display any sort of weight for the stereotypical thugs about robbing old ladies. Around his neck hung a gilded pendant shaped like a half-mask, turquoise and cerulean beads strung along to create the loop that held it on his neck. His hair was tied back in a ponytail with a silken, red ribbon and his heeled boots were certainly made for walking! MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

The question sent both her and the red-head's way was only answered with a frown and a narrow-eyed glare from the female. He appeared much too cheerful regarding the current situation and that was bothering her. If the look on her face didn't say as much, then her flat ears and the lash-like whip of her tail might. Unless you didn't know much about cats and their behavior. Noise from the street below turned her steely stare off the blonde in blue where she watched some of the guards drag away the far fellow with the serious stubble. She recognized him as the one who body slammed himself into a group of rowdy bar patrons just a few moments ago, almost catching her in his flying attack. She just tutted at the sight of him being pulled by his foot, the guards appearing to struggle. Closer inspection of said guards revealed them to be female. Interesting. Her left ear rose and turned to face the blonde in blue as she heard movement from him. Glancing his way, she watched as he waved his arm in a calling gesture. Huffing, Kira followed and hopped the gap between the buildings to land upon the same roof as the blonde in blue.
”Why do you have a tail? You're not Miqo'te.”, Kira asked bluntly, her tone carrying -some- curiosity but was otherwise flat and blank. She couldn't get a good read on this stranger and she questioned his choice of attire. Mind you he could very well be doing the same to her. Eh, each to their own. Such thoughts were dropped when the blonde spoke up again, explaining where they were going and revealing his name. Zidane huh? That was unique and it turned out that a nearby theatre would be their place to 'lie low' for a while. ”Why are we lying low? All I want to do is ask that boy behind us some questions. I didn't start that fight back there.”, the female Miqo'te answered but continued to follow the blonde nevertheless. She was silent for the time being now, noticing the blonde point out the stone arch up ahead. So they needed to cross the street? Only now did Kira take heed of her surrounding, and boy were they some surroundings! The castle in particular.
”Wow...”, she sounded impressed; in awe even. Her eyes had widened and lit up considerably, full of wonder and astonishment. The way the stars and the moons shone off that gigantic blade was breath-taking, even in Kira's standards. She even ended up stopping and cocking her head to one side, taking a good moment to fully appreciate the sight before her. This was beautiful and she had never seen anything like this before. Kira crossed her arms over her chest and went as ridged as a statue, eyes locked onto the castle of Alexandria and she pretty much burnt the view into her memory. That was something she never wanted to forget. After a moment passed, she relaxed and looked about to see where the blonde and the red-head went. Catching sight of them, she went after them and quickly caught up, catching the end of the blonde's question. The black-haired Miqo'te peered at the red-head and frowned. All that wonder and awe had vanished and she was back to her normal, frowning and glaring self. I've seen spells like that cast before, but never seen the caster react as this kid did... I wonder if he's new to spell casting?, Kira thought to herself, keeping said thoughts to herself for the time being and silently followed the two men in front of her.

Looking over to the leader of this hike, he smiled a bit as he told him his name. It seemed like Zidane wasn’t comfortable with formalities and took it as a jab to his age. ”I meant no harm with the mister part. I’m Akemi, Akemi Kasumi.” He said with a gentle smile. Akemi stayed close to this tailed companion as they were finally all on the rooftop now. He noticed that the woman was just as amazed as he was by the view. His eyes went from the two and back being glued to the castle just beyond the city as the stars and moons reflected off the giant mass of steel. The boy had read many books while back home and never had he heard of a castle like this before. In every history book he read about his world of Halure, never did he find such a place like this.
However besides the castle, the two moons gave it away instantly that he wasn’t home along with the different types of human and animal hybrid people. Between all of this, those weird black monsters, and now his new powers; Akemi was barely hanging on to his sanity. If it wasn’t for Zidane, he would have most likely hurt someone else and maybe worse. His ears twitched a bit the moment he heard Zidane speaking to him about his magic.
Well it wasn’t exactly what he had in mind in stopping him but overall he was just happy that he was safe and unharmed after he was frozen. ”T-Thanks I suppose….” he said, ”…but you’re right, I’m honestly terrified right now.” His teal eyes looked down at the palms of his hands. The frost that once coated his hands was gone but he could still feel the chill since he had summoned his magic. ”I-I’m scared because so much has happened in such a short time that I can’t even process what happened and what is happening now. And right now, I don’t even know where I am. As strange as this may sound, I think I might be on a different world.” Akemi sounded crazy for even saying that to the two but he had to let it out.
His mind was so full and he needed to get it out in the open to maybe get some answers. ”I’m trying my best to keep myself together as much as I can but I fear that I might just break soon.” He said as his eyes started to water. Now that he had a moment to breathe, to actually breathe and let it all sink in, he was starting to unravel at the seams. Akemi felt as if he had lost his home, his parents, and his world to some dark and unknown force. Why were those black monsters there? Why did he have these powers? But more importantly, what did he become back there? He remembered something taking over and everything going red but other than that it was all a blur.
Holding his arms, he hunched forward a bit and sealed his eyes shut tightly. Two tears rolled down the sides of his cheeks as it was just too much to bear. ”I’m scared…I just discovered these powers and I hurt someone…I don’t even know how to control them let alone why I have them…and right now I fear…I might have lost everything.” One tear after another, they started to flow down his face. Akemi gripped his arms tightly as he hung his head low. His crimson hair hid his face from them both to mask the ugly cry and sobbing that was taking place. He hated crying because it made him feel weak but it needed to come out.

Zidane followed the Miqo'te's gaze as she looked upon the castle with amazement. The thief grinned, finding it difficult not to be a little proud. Everyone had did their part in restoring the castle, even Zidane and Tantalus. He was sure everyone was happy to divert their resources into restoring the symbol of protection that had stopped the dragon's rampage... For a moment the rogue could do naught but recall the hellish flames and fire-red reflection that danced off the shimmering blade that night. His arms would lower from his head and fall to his side, the memory a heavy one. It was an inescapable event and it was sickening to think what would have happened had he not... He would have to keep in mind to really work hard to pay Cid back for everything, Erin too! Brushing hid gloved finger under his nose he sniffed, gem-colored eyes looking to the feline woman with a curious arch of his brow. "I gotta tail cause that's how I was born, don't you have a tail?" What was it with her? His eyes drifted up to her ears, than the markings on her face. A cat than? "I'ma Genome." He'd offer before he turned his attention to Akemi. The guy was having a rough night it looked like. It would have been better had they been able to get a few drinks it. It had to be hard being new in town. The rouge carried a neutral expression as he listened to the boy, who was practically in tears. Sapphire eyes turned up toward the twin moons at the mention of another world. Heh -- he supposed there were a lot more of them -- every star an unexplored world, huh? He wondered how Doctor Tot was handling that sort of idea? Behind Zidane his tail would fall to a stiff curl, the fur along the nimble limb standing on end before it smoothed out and resumed its lazy sway.He turned his body toward Akemi, glancing to Kira as he tilted his head slightly. He frowned before his attentions went back to the boy. Moving forward Zidane would attempt to pull the guy into a firm hug and pat his back as hard as he could."Hey, you're a guy okay? Don't cry like that." Zidane tried to get him to calm down first. "Count on me, okay buddy? You can figure this out, you just need some time." The way the rogue spoke it was as if he had some sort of experience in the matter. He stepped back and reached up to rub the side of his head sheepishly. "The theater is quite, Ruby doesn't afford any bullheaded thugs... we can take a bit and just talk, right?" He looked to the Miqo'te who seemed to have wanted to talk to Akemi as well.
The thief would smile bright and nudge the red head. "I'll buy, alright?" he beckoned them "Come on, this way!" He turned and made his way across the rooftops with nimble steps, as if every tile had been memorized. It didn't take much for him to toddle up onto the gate and start across. The Mini-Theater wasn't too far and it would be better to get out of the chilly night air. Despite the quite calm of the castle town there were much more than just labourers coming out of the works to get a few drinks... It wasn't hard to spy the thugs idling around corners, biding their time for an easy target... MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

The steely stare from the Miqo'te shifted from the red-head back to the Genome as he spoke up and answered her. So he was born with it? Fair enough. When attention was brought to her own tail, the female folded her arms across her chest as her extra furry apendage swung out from behind her. Her tail was as black as her hair and looked remarkably well groomed; soft and healthy fur that fluffed out towards the tip. Unlike her face and what flesh of her arms were on show, there was no damage and no scars to her tail. ”I was born with my tail too...”, she confirmed as she continued to walk after the blonde in blue. ”... But I am Miqo'te, not a 'Gee-Noh'. What is a 'Gee-Nom'?”, she continued after a short pause, mispronouncing what Zidane called himself on both occasions. Spying him looking at her face, Kira frowned and lowered her brow into a more serious stare. What was he looking at? The darker markings on her face was also there from when she was born, as she the scars across her nose and over her left eye, well they were gained from battle.
Her sharp blue eyes flicked down to watch Zidane's tail stiffen and bristle slightly before returning back it it's presumably natural state. The Genome had his attention on the red-head whom from the sounds of it, had started to cry. What was his problem all of a sudden? Kira remained silent and kept her arms folded across her chest. She walked past both the men as the blue tried to comfort the red, only blinking slowly at the Genome with uninterest showing in her eyes as theirs met briefly. Only travelling a few paces beyond them, the Miqo'te stopped and turned around, biting back an impatient huff. Focusing her stare back on the castle in the distance, Kira turned an ear towards the men as they spoke. The red-head was scared about his powers and mentioned something about being on another world? What was there to be scared about? Having great powers was key to survival... well, perhaps having the knowledge to use them would help too. That was the red-head's main problem, as he said so himself. As for losing everything, Kira just rolled her eyes and shook her head subtly. Though perhaps she ought some -some- sympathy; she has lost her chocobo after all, though she was determined to find him. She -knew- he was out there somewhere. She didn't know how she knew, but she just did. A gut feeling if you will.
Keeping her arms crossed over her chest, the Miqo'te turned back to the men with a subtle creak in the leather straps that held her armour together. ”Ack-Emma, was it?”, she addressed the red-head. She was terrible remembering names. ”You have to trust in yourself and your powers. I doubt you've just recently 'gained' these spells of yours, they must have been lying dormant for a while, only showing themselves in a time of need. Though with how much of a mess your Aether is right now, I doubt you'd be able to repeat that ice spell back in the tavern.”. Kira was genuinely awful was trying to offer help. She never had need to provide help for others when no one had ever done so for her before. She blinked slowly and glanced at the Genome when he mentioned 'he'd buy'. Buy what? Truthfully, her Gil was running low so anything she could get for free wasn't going to be rejected. She frowned and peered back at the red-head, shrugging her shoulders. ”... Just try and relax or something I guess?”, she muttered before she turned her back on him and followed after Zidane again. vvv

It was so embarrassing how he broke down. This was all too much for him and Akemi felt like he was just being a burden right now. Zidane acted almost instantly we he heard the boy breaking down. He was caught off guard as he soon was in the Gnome's arms. Akemi was able to pull himself together as he was able to hear Zidane's words. For someone who he barely knew, he was very sympathetic. His teal eyes watched as Kira walked right passed them but stopped not to far ahead. She focused his attention to him as she tried to speak his name. It was close but he wasn't going to correct her.
The feline female terrified the boy with how she acted and spoke thus far. However as she spoke to him, Akemi realized that she was't THAT scary after all. She tried to level with him, he guessed, about everything he mentioned. Maybe she was right though. Maybe he did have these powers before and they just showed up when he was in trouble. Well, whatever the reason for them, he was alive thanks to them. Akemi wiped the tears from his face and brushed the hair out of his face. "T-Thank you guys..." The boy said as he watched the two press onward. Following behind the two, Akemi once again to think about everything going on. No matter how many times he replayed everything in his mind, nothing made sense. Every thing was normal back home until that storm and black creatures showed up. Not to mention the strange dream he had before those thing showed up.
He was able to remember it like it had just happened. Everything was black and only a massive golden figure, cloaked in light told him it was time. Soon after something in the darkness with bright, red eyes charged at him. Then, out of no where, a sharp pain ran through his head. "What's the matter? Can't remember what you did? Maybe its for the best to not recall the monster that you are..." Akemi held his head with his left hand as the hauntingly familiar voice spoke to him in his mind. "...Would you just shut up...You're nothing more then my negative emotions trying to make things worse..." He muttered lowly to himself. With a fading laugh, both the pain and the voice was finally gone.
Akemi relaxed a bit as he let out a sigh of relief. But, what did it mean but 'Can't remember what he did?' Did Akemi do something when he blacked out? He remembered something happened but everything was still a blur. The boy shook his head a bit as he brushed off the thought. When the time was right, he would be able to try and remember but for right now, he needed to get to this Theater that Zidane was talking about. "So how far is this Theater?" Akemi asked as moved closer to the two. They had to be getting close or something because sooner or later, they would run out of rooftop.
