CHANGE IS NON-EXISTENT WITHOUT ACTION. “Hey, mister! Aren’t you too old to be playing in the water?!” a child’s curiosity rang throughout his mind as the intellect stumbled upon his mindscape. Among the darkness ran a small crystal clear current that seemed to continue on and on. The raven haired man felt as if he were making headway following along the side of the water trail. There was a chance that the aquatic blue would take the aqua eyed man to a memory deep within his unknown. The seeker was totally oblivious on what was happening outside of his temple. Shiro just yearned for a piece of himself to be uncovered. In reality, Fear had been damaged severely recently and was laying dormant within the soldier’s blood, recovering. That left an unconscious man, standing up straight as if he were, among a fountain court, letting a rush of liquid pour over the hood covering his head. Shiro took Fear’s downtime as an opportunity to trigger senses of his that would hopefully help the hoping man navigate the empty abyss that was his mind. Outside a brunette child remained, impatient for the busy man’s attention. “Are you okay, sir!? Can you hear me??” and with that, the child leaped at the hooded man’s head, grabbing onto the hood and tugged. Not only was it a tug, but gravity pulled the child down to the ground- as the kid didn’t anticipate what would happen if the boy could grab the man’s hood. The child was only tried to get Shiro’s attention! Just like that, a sharp rip sound echoed in the intellect’s mind; his aura within shook as the small river he had been following disappeared as he snapped back to reality. The blue eyed man was met with wet hair and blurred vision as water streamed down his face. There was a point to putting the hood on- so he wouldn’t wake to that. Something felt off. The soldier turned his head to notice his hood, torn almost completely off, as a small boy held the end of it, looking at the man with tears accruing in the corners of the child’s eyes. The feeling of worry stretched over the kid’s face; the child sputtered, “I-I’m so sorry, mister. You just weren’t saying anything and I was worried!”
To be frank, Blackout was not amused. The attire he had woken up with, a clue to his past, had been reduced to tatters in his opinion. Obviously, it was an exaggerated an opinion; however, the soldier never had to worry about his attire until then. Stepping out of the “waterfall”, Shiro crouched down and faced the child with an un-enthused expression. “Patience is worth learning as impatience tends to lead to unfavorable results,” the raven haired man spoke, hoping there was some sort of wisdom escaping him. A small smile crawled upon his face to ensure that he wasn’t upset with the child, “Don’t worry about the hood. All things can be fixed.”At least he’d like to think so. With that, the drenched man was off to the local bazaar of the world, to repair his clothing that he valued without much reason. By the time he’d get there, hopefully his clothes were to be somewhat dry. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

The day had started out as lovely as any other. The skies were blue, and the sun was shining bright. A mild breeze had been blowing throughout the marketplace. Rina had gotten a late start that morning so when she finally arrived at the open space for merchants all of the good spots had been taken!
With an annoyed look sharpening her features, the young woman had finally found an empty space tucked into the corner far from the entrance of the marketplace. Hopefully, her regulars would be able to spot her, and she would make some good deals today. A strong gust blew by her as she set up her booth, blowing her black hair around in mess. She quickly gathered up all of the strands and tied them up into a ponytail. More gusts came through and Rina looked up to see a bank of dark clouds coming towards the town.
Oh great. I get everything set up and it’s gonna freaking storm. Just my luck.
So maybe today wasn’t going to be lovely.

CHANGE IS NON-EXISTENT WITHOUT ACTION. As the soldier made his way to the bazaar, it was obvious that he had picked the wrong day to search his mind with the water; his body began to feel the damp clothes of his to get colder rather warmer. The sun disappeared from the sky as dark clouds slowly swarmed it out of view. Cold winds pressed against the man’s face, his hair playing with the breeze slightly. If his hood wasn’t ripped, maybe he’d be in a better condition. The weather annoyed him and apparently it had so to others, the bazaar not nearly as busy as he had seen before. Flustered faces were upon his gaze, watching families and individuals rushing to get their business done and get home before it’d start to rain. Short lines, though, right? The raven haired man searched for a tailor, someone to mend his clothing. Shiro asked around and was pointed in the direction of high class dressed man behind a stand. He had approached the salesman and was told that they were closing up shop; the seller wouldn’t risk letting his suit get wet. “I think Rina’s got the short end of the stick for spots,” the dressed man stated, “She might be roughing it; find her.” And that he did; he located Rina’s stand, waited his turn among customers and then turned his head to look behind him. No customers- he wanted to be sure he wasn’t holding anyone else up as he figured his repair may take a while. The soldier was no tailor; he had no idea how long something like that would take to fix. “Rina, right? How is the day treating you?” the man asked to verify and start small talk, turning to face the woman in charge. “Would you be able to mend a repair in my clothing?” he asked with warmth in his tone among the cold atmosphere; he kept himself calmly composed, clearly not in a rush. Drops of water from the sky would then start to sprinkle onto the ground and his shoulders. TAGGGED | NOTES So sorry for the delay! Hopefully I'll get better at response time. |

Rina’s hair, even though tied back, continued to blow unabated in the coming storm’s breeze. She continued to do business though, exchanging items, munny, and smiles all until only one man remained. A young man who looked to be about Rina’s age. He was quite handsome and polite enough as he asked her how her day had been and if she could repair an article of clothing. Rina looked down to see what looked like a hood in his hand. It must have been ripped from the jacket that he was wearing. “Yes, I’m Rina. My day’s been good, but it looks like it’s gonna be cut short. I don’t want to be out here when it starts to storm.” She looked up to gauge how long she might have. Not long at all. “What do you have for me, sir?” Rina reached across the space between them and gently took the hood from his hand. “Just a reattachment, yes? That won’t take long at all. Maybe an hour, two at the most. Do you have the time?” As she waited for his response, raindrops began to splatter on her forehead. She shook violently like a cat being sprayed with water and looked up at her customer. “Tell you what. You help me pack up and get out of hear and I’ll mend your coat for whatever you think is fair. Plus, anything else that needs mending. I’ll do that for free. I just really don’t want to be out here!” As the rain began to pick up, Rina’s eyes almost bugged out of their sockets. “Deal?!”

CHANGE IS NON-EXISTENT WITHOUT ACTION. A shy smile crept onto his face as she acknowledged the forthcoming storm, “I understand.” It was an awkward situation to be standing in line for some time only to be shot down when one met the end. The intellect’s brain started to assess the situation and run through how their encounter would end; what he’d say following. Then she extended her hand to take the subject of his mending request. His shy smile, in turn, became a warm one; thankful that she was willing to still take his business on. The soldier crunched his figure up and withdrew his hood from himself, one arm at a time, revealing the full gray vest he wore and exposed his shoulders to the drops of water raining down from above. He then provided the article of clothing to her. She Rina was gentle as she accepted it; a sign of a caring nature. That or timid, but he had a good feeling it was at least the prior. “Thank you, miss. I certainly do,” he replied to her question on whether he had the time. Rina’s reaction to the rain gave Shiro the urge to chuckle, but he kept it in. Perhaps it would be rude to show her expressive dismay of the weather tickled his funny bone. The soldier’s face just reverted to his typical calm looking self. Midst thinking in hindsight, in regards to his reaction, upon the sound of thunder and the sensation of an onset for a downpour- time felt as if it had stopped. Rina’s figure had changed into another. The girl upon him had similar dark hair, but not in Rina’s ponytail. The girl’s hair was cut rather short and Rina’s blue eyes were now a bright violet. The man’s eyes kind of bugged out as Rina’s figure was back in the picture and time felt like it resumed flowing. There was a warm feeling in his heart for a split second and the intellect couldn’t gather why. Was that girl from his past? What he had seen was certainly an enigma. “Absolutely, I’ll help,” Blackout replied after mentally grabbing back onto the current moment. “Where should I start?” The loyal soldier would then start where he was told, fumbling around carefully with the equipment he didn’t know how to handle; making educated guesses on how to handle the gear with care. As he helped her pack things away, Shiro’s eyes would glance over at Rina, wondering if he’d catch a glimpse of that girl again. It didn’t happen, but the man would be lying if he didn’t admire Rina’s beauty from afar. More often than not, the soldier was very objective on how he viewed the world and his surroundings. That being said, it was a strange feeling to Shiro to be in awe on how pretty one was. Blackout tried to do it discreetly and keep his expression placid. “If you don’t mind me asking, where are you from?” he’d ask in wonder, trying to maintain smalltalk throughout the ordeal. Rina tried to push stray strands of hair and drops of water from her face as the rain began to gently fall. The wind whipping around was doing nothing to help the matter. Rina shot the man a quick smile as he accepted her request for help. She produced a case from underneath her booth and set it on an empty space on the table and gestured to a myriad of vials and flasks to the side of the table. “If you’ll just wrap those items up in that cloth, they’re under, I’d appreciate it.”
As the man worked on his side, Rina began to pick up the various trinkets and accessories on the remaining side. If their hands accidentally brushed as they placed the items into the box and if Rina felt a funny little feeling when it happened, she didn’t let herself show it. And if she had seen the way that the man’s gaze kept searching for hers, she didn’t try to return it. At this point in her life she had resigned herself to a life lived alone and she didn’t want to open any avenues that may change that. She fell for people way too easily.
So of course, the man had to ask her where she was from.
With the last item placed into the case, Rina shut it and snapped the locks on the side. She lifted it from the table and finally looked up at the man. She noticed that he had the most interesting colored eyes. She wasn’t sure or if they were blue or violet or some sort of mixture of both. Rina smiled, not able to help the slyness on her face or in her voice. “Me? I’m from everywhere.”
She tilted her head over to the exit of the marketplace.
“Thanks for the help. Now follow me!”

CHANGE IS NON-EXISTENT WITHOUT ACTION. “Wrapping things in cloth. I believe I have the skillset to handle that,” the man replied with a heightened expression, smirking with pride; showcasing Shiro’s poor ability to crack a joke. To be fair, a joke coming from the soldier was better than nothing at all. Despite the storm coming down on them, packing up stuff with Rina put Blackout in a mood like no either. It was definitely relieving to engage in an activity that didn’t involve pulling any triggers. In the midst of the sorting, Shiro’s eyes widened as his hand accidentally brushed among hers. It felt as if time stopped for a moment, the tortured one’s senses ringing with an alarming sensation. Although it was a gentle interaction, it had put the soldier in an unsettling state. An inner frown shown through his glazed over eyes, lost in his head. On the inside, Shiro pulled mighty and hard in the tug a war between him and his troubled self, restraining himself from overreacting. Was human interaction always going to be hard for him? Questions such as started to echo throughout his head, whispering negative thoughts in hindsight as the man continued to help Rina store her tools. Like most things, Blackout pushed the negativity to the corner of his mind; for it to resurface in a more tense situation. “From everywhere,” the intellect tilt his head slightly, his puzzled blue eyes meeting the girl’s. Was she being cryptic or did she not want to talk about her past? If it were the latter, it’d be disappointing. He envy’d having a past, regardless of how troublesome it’d be to think about it. At least he’d have answers, right? Shiro had to think about what it was like in her shoes however- maybe she was feeling the opposite; maybe she’d rather forget. “As I’m from nowhere,” the soldier mumbled under his breath as Rina carried onto the next topic. “Lead the way,” Blackout nodded as he started to follow Rina per her request. Clearly she had a thought as to where they’d go. TAGGGED | NOTES Prepare for more posts with the rush of Kingdom Hearts muse this week! lol

[attr="class","burst"] [attr="class","whitenight"] ❝ As the duo had packed up her wares, she had noticed that the man’s face had sort of went blank for just a moment before returning to its normal, handsome expression. Rina nearly asked him if he was okay but thought better of it. She recognized the look he had. She had had it many times before. Trying to make the decision to either stay or flee. But why? Had she done something wrong already? Probably. But because the moment had come and gone, Rina had decided to not press it. She continues to peer into his face, but quickly shifted her eyes when his met hers. A smile happened on her face though, when he began to question what she meant by being from everywhere. It slipped away though when she heard the man murmur that he was from nowhere.
“Nowhere, huh…? That seems lonely.” Rina was kept from speaking more by a large clap of thunder and a heavier deluge of rain. “Shit! Come on! We can tell each other our stories when we’re not wet!” Rina took off from the marketplace at a quick pace, peeking behind her to make sure that the man was keeping up. “We’re almost there!” Rina turned a corner and tucked between two other houses was her modest cottage up against a gray wall. She quickly produced the key from her pocket to unlock the door before bursting through it and ushering the man through it and away from the storm.
“Whew. Thank goodness we’re out of that. Let me go grab us some towels.” Rina started to walk towards the closet in the hall that contained her towels and as she went, she hollered a question back to the stranger. “Oh hey. You know my name, but I don’t think I caught yours.” She returned with a stack of towels to split between them. “Here ya go!”

CHANGE IS NON-EXISTENT WITHOUT ACTION. The intelect’s eyes widened at the realization that Rina had caught his downer comment. It was a quip that rolled off his tongue- he didn’t mean for her to hear it. Shiro guessed that controlling what comes out of his mouth would need to be a lesson learned earlier than later. It wasn’t often where the soldier found himself in interactions with other beings. Other than his vigilante gig, the only regular connections the man had was with the heartless within. Feeling slightly ashamed that his comment was heard, the darkness inside started to swarm, preying on the moment of weakness. “are you nervous…? are you nervous…?” the inner whispers of the heartless started to chant, Shiro’s conscious started to submerge into his empty mind. “Blackout, how I’ve…”All of a sudden, it had felt as if he was slapped in the face; the experiment’s conscious flicked back to reality as thunder roared throughout the sky. A sigh of relief came to the man as Rina rushed them out of the area, the soldier’s long legs paced himself to keep up with the woman. The analyst could only reflect on how close he was to diving inside. He wondered what Rina would think if he froze for however long all of a sudden. That was another reason why the soldier had to push the negativity aside into the corners of his mind; he couldn’t let Fear pull him from reality where his attention was required. To be quite frank, the intellect was so consumed with his thoughts- if he had to retrace himself back to the market from her cottage; it wouldn’t pan out well. Being let inside, the man turned his head and watched as Rina shut the door behind them. Shiro had never been invited inside someone’s private residence. Barging in and taking out crooks- that was a different story. It was quite relieving to not feel the urge to shoot the lights for cover. The soldier gave a warm smile as Rina handed him a towel to dry off- however, the towel didn’t come without stipulations. She wanted his name- and thus, an odd introduction would commence. Without his hood, the man’s dog tags rested against his chest- he pulled them off and handed them to the kind girl. -Blackout-“I don’t believe it’s my real name, but its all I have. It ties into that nowhere I had mentioned earlier,” the hard truth left his lips- Shiro clearly struggling to put it all into words. It was easy to hide behind a mask as Fear- Fear was a symbol that needed no introduction in Traverse Town. It was hard to be the empty shell inside. “I apologize- its hard for me to talk about. I try to avoid introductions altogether to be honest with you.”Pacing around the room, Shiro’s eyes brightened up, admiring how organized and well kept that Rina appeared to be. “You have a very nice place, I must say,” he stated, turning his head for his blue eyes to meet hers. “Mind if I ask you what growing up somewhere was like?” There was slight humor in his tone as he referred to her origin as somewhere, but anyone could hear the genuine curiosity in his tone to hear her story. He was all ears. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

[attr="class","burst"] [attr="class","whitenight"] ❝ While she had walked to the cabinet to grab the towels, Rina had stripped off her sopping jacket, placing it in the laundry basket that was nearby. The jacket had seemingly saved her tank top from getting wet. She had also removed the hair tie from her hair, letting the dripping, dark mess of strands come crashing back down. She could feel dislodged rain drops fall from her head and onto her bare shoulders and arm, making goosebumps rise onto them. She returned to the front of her house setting the towels down on the table there. Grabbing the one on top she bent over, flipping her hair over so she could wrap it up neatly within the towel. Rina hadn’t realized that her new friend was offering her his dog tags until she righted herself and looked over at him. “Oh!” She accepted the small bit of metal and looked down at the name embossed there. Blackout. Not a true name, but some sort of military codename. Rina listened to him tell his story and she couldn’t help but feel sadness for the man before her. It seemed something had happened to him and he had lost his self at some point. No name...no home. No memories? Rina understood that to a degree. She herself didn’t really remember her childhood, her parents, or anything that could have been an early memory. Rina hoped her face had a neutral expression on it, but she was sure it was betraying her with the pity and sadness that she was feeling for Blackout. She was searching for something to say when he beat her to it, complimenting her home and asking about the somewhere she was from. This actually produced a small smile to her face. The woman stepped over in front of Blackout, taking his hand with hers to place the dog tags back into his palm. Unlike earlier when she was trying her best to make her movements short and business-like, not letting herself into the draw that this man had, she let her fingers linger over his palm for a few extra seconds. Inside her mind she was letting him know that if he ever needed to talk about his past, she was there. No qualms about anything. After that she stepped back, something of a shy smile on her face. “Not just somewhere. Everywhere. Okay, maybe not everywhere, but I’ve lived in a lot of places. There was a time when I couldn’t sit still, ya know? It’s a long story…” Rina moved from where she stood, tilting her head over to the living room. There was a fire place along the back wall, a love seat and a couch sitting opposite of each other with a coffee table between them. Bookcases and various shelves lined the remaining walls. If one were to look at the knickknacks and photos and books dotted around, Rina was sure they’d be able to figure out the mystery of her life. Sitting underneath the coffee table was a sewing basket filled wit h everything she would need to fix Blackout’s hood. “Hand me your jacket. I’ll start on the repairs. You can start a fire too, if you want.” Rina settled herself onto the loveseat, crossing her legs to the side. “Maybe I’ll tell you my long story.” She said softly, with a small grin. | [attr="class","white"] [attr="class","night"] [attr="class","burstmini"] Fear[attr="class","burstmini"] [attr="class","burstmini"]000 words [attr="class","burstmini"]notes: hold me now i need to feel relief, like i never wanted anything

CHANGE IS NON-EXISTENT WITHOUT ACTION. There was a warm feeling in the man’s heart as he handed over his dog tags to Rina; their hands meeting felt unlike any physical contact he had ever had- gentle and sincere. There was a feeling about the woman before him, a sense of trust- it was foreign to Shiro at the time and thus his mental gears were puzzling what the exact feeling was. The man followed her into the next room, listening to her explanation of her coming from everywhere. An awe of wonder glossed over the intellect’s navy blue eyes as they scanned over the various titles she had in her personal library. “Something tells me you don’t mind long stories,” the soldier mentioned with a chuckle as he analyzed the massive widths of a couple of her books. “ I don’t know if my heart will let me leave this house prior to asking to lend me one of these… I like stories- especially the long ones.”Upon the request to remove his jacket, Shiro began to do so. Although Rina provided him a sense of comfort, there was a truth the soldier was hesitant to give. Under the jacket was a damp white tee, exposing his muscle definition and several scars upon careful examination. One would be able to clearly see a darker pigmented mark etched on his now-exposed neck, that of a lightning strike that made its way downward. They were things of the past, however- prior to his body’s chemistry evolved with the ability to regenerate. None of that concerned Blackout. What did was the possibly revealed heartless insignia that rested on his back. There was no way to know- as he undressed himself of his jacket, he made sure to keep his back turned away from Rina. "Of course," he stated. Handing his jacket over to the woman, Shiro nodded at her consent to start a fire. Although he wished to keep his back to her a secret, it didn’t overcome the possibility that Rina could be cold. It was important to him that she was comfortable- he was guest in her house. It was a slow process to get the fire going, he would talk to Rina in means to cast a shadow over on why he was moving steadily- he didn’t want for her eyes to see the red and black on his back. If she did catch a glimpse, hopefully his shirt was dry enough back there. “My mind is barren. I woke up one day to the flickering street lights of a place called Traverse Town. Nothing to my name outside my equipment and those dog tags. It was troubling… I made it my home, though. I pieced everything together akin to what a newborn would growing up, although no guidance from the likes of parents. I read a lot- I spent a lot of my time in a library.”Once the fire was ignited and tended properly, Shiro took a seat across from Rina on the couch. It was very comfortable. “I had fun imagining I was Captain Ahab and the whale got me- I just can’t remember; or that I grew up as Huckleberry Finn. I entertained the idea of presenting that to others when they’d ask- I couldn’t come to the idea of lying, even if only for kicks. It's not in my nature. I feel I’ve rambled enough- bottom line is I’d love to hear your story if you’re willing to share,” he expressed with a shy smile to the sweet girl across the coffee table. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Rina watched quietly as the man shrugged himself out of his jacket and was only broken from her reverie when she felt the every growing familiar shock of their fingertips touching. Perhaps she pulled the jacket to quickly from Blackout's hand, but she tried to cover it up by busying immediately busying herself with her work. Checking the seams of both articles, trying to pick a thread that would work well with both things, the right needle. Blackout's earlier request about borrowing some of her novels almost didn't register. God*amnit, Rina. You need to stop acting like this. Rina threaded her needle and after lining the pieces together, she began to pull the thread through, all the while listening to the man tell his story, flicking her eyes up to him every minute or so. After starting a fire for them both, he finally took a seat across from her. His story, just like her story, just like so many others started in Traverse Town and that made her smile on the inside. Was everyone from that eternal night of a planet? It felt like nearly everyone she had ever known came from there. She felt so strongly for the man though. Rina wished she could gently browse through his brain and see if she could find the memories he had lost. The young woman wasn't sure she would be able to cope if she had lost her memories, even the ocean of bad ones. Everything in her mind was what made her, her. Such a prize she was... The man finished his story and prodded Rina for hers. She smiled shyly at him and then looked down at her work. While listening to Blackout speak she must have stopped sewing because only a handful of beginning stitches were visible. Well, I suppose I have the time. "First, let me say that you are more to welcome to borrow any book you'd like. I even have more down the hall. Just as long as you promise to come back to me. T-to return them, of course." She let out a nervous giggle and shook her head. "My story, though... it's the longest one in this house it feels like." Rina shifted herself so she was tucked into the corner of the loveseat and placed a few more stitches into the hood. "I don't remember my childhood. I don't remember where I was born, who my parents were, none of it. My earliest memories are being in an orphanage just down the street and being told that the Darkness destroys. It ate my home, and my family, and almost ate me and if I wasn't a good little girl it would come back for me." Rina frowned then and set her sewing to the side so she could point out a faint scar near where her heart was. "I've never been "normal" and I thought the kids were just being mean to me when they said that, but it was the truth. The Darkness marked me that night and came back for me, destroyed this world, and spat me on Traverse Town. Imagine that... we both seem to come from there, don't we?" Rina looked up at Blackout then, trying to search his face for a reaction before she continued onto to her sewing and her story. "I hated it though. Hated it so much, and ran as far away as I could. I met a man. Two men actually. One who turned me into something I didn't recognize and one who loved me regardless of my past, but I broke his heart because I got scared. Scared of finally being happy and scared that my past would come to hurt him or maybe even my future... the struggle with the Darkness is so hard..."Rina hadn't realized it, but she had begun to shake, the tip of the needle just a bright little blur, the clothing falling to the floor. She could feel it stronger in this moment then she had in a while. The Darkness was sitting heavy in her hands just waiting to flow free and it took every bit of strength she had to push it back inside of her. She looked up at Blackout, sure there was fear in her eyes. "I'm sorry! I...I don't know what's come over me." A shaking hand rose up to cover her mouth as a sob tried to escape, her other arm wrapped tightly around her middle. "I don't know where this is coming from..."Fear

CHANGE IS NON-EXISTENT WITHOUT ACTION. The soldier’s face emitted a gentle smile after hearing Rina’s phrasing on her answer to his book borrowing request. Thankfully she was the one talking then- Shiro could imagine himself saying something more passionate, than what was appropriate for the context, unintentionally. That was an accident, right? The intellect was not an expert at human interaction, but he had read a romance novel once to expand his horizons. Their chemistry couldn’t be of a pairing from one of said novels, right? Shiro’s life wasn’t a fairy tale so he quickly dismissed the thought. The man cocked his chin and rested it on his knuckles as he began to listen to woman’s story, his eyes remaining locked with hers, giving his utmost attention. A sad smile crept on his face to hear her beginnings were similar to his- lacking of a childhood and swept away by darkness. Darkness was a malicious entity in her story though- made Shiro wonder about the effects that Fear had on him in retrospect. It sounded destructful and sinister - Rina was the target of an endless hunger for fear for most of her life. Nodding at her comment of both of them ending up in Traverse Town, his eyebrows lowering in reflection as he commented, “Seems that way.”
Hearing what had happened to her after arriving at Traverse Town, Shiro disconnected from her eyes and peered down at her sowing, a somber look in his eyes. He was trying to piece what she was saying together- to be loved and to give it a way out of fear. It was devastating to hear, but the man couldn’t quite piece out how detrimental of a feeling that’d be- he couldn’t imagine being loved. Rina seemed to be a very kind and caring soul- where was her happy ending? Stories are just stories, the book reader reminded himself- it's a shame life wasn’t that way. “I’m so sorry to hear,” he stated, connecting his diamond blue eyes with her midnight blue. There was something off- the look in Rina’s eyes was different than before, she was shaking and suddenly dropped his jacket. Blackout’s look took a shaken expression as he glanced at himself to notice the muscles in his forearms beginning to twitch. It wasn’t fear in the man’s eyes, there was only worry for the gentle soul that provided him hospitality and fix his clothing. Immediately, the man took off the couch to get on his knees, his arm extending over the table between them and grabbed her shaking hand. If she’d allow him as he began, he’d interlock his pulsating fingers with hers. The man didn’t know what overcame him, but he gave her a look that said not to worry, confiding to her, “Its okay- I feel it too.” He couldn’t put a name on the feeling, but there was an almost magnetic desire to be as close to Rina as humanly possible- he resisted every urge to do so, but it was very difficult. The experiment’s veins had changed from the normal blue hue to a vibrant yellow, the sign of his heartless presence; Fear was stirring crazy within about what was happening between the two of them. Was this their darkness reacting to one another? Or was he feeling something more for her? The internal cogs of the analyst were at work here. The room they were in started to darken and seemed to have a dark violet mist that roamed. All of a sudden, the roaring fire dwindled to a puny flame. Letting a small chuckle escape and slightly blushing, Shiro told Rina, “Either I’m a bad firemaker or something is happening.”He took a slight pause, “I don’t know what's happening.”

Rina watched the events unfold like she was watching them on a movie screen. As if she wasn't really there. Something deep inside of her was stirring up, something dark and scary. Something that almost felt good, but in a really bad way. Something whispering into her ear to let this feeling take over her... let her darkness free. Barely able to breathe, Rina watched with wide, terrified eyes as Blackout came to kneel across from her. He reached over the table between them, grasping for her unsteady hand. Rina just about pulled away from him, a "No." against her lips, but he was one second ahead of her, wrapping his fingers around hers. She instantly felt grounded. All of the feelings that had been ravaging her mind stopped, leaving just one in its wake. Same. Blackout was feeling the same things that she was in this moment. She was not alone in this, even though Blackout stated to her that he didn't know what was happening to them either. As the fire dwindled, a cold chill ran down Rina's spine that made her shudder violently. Dark shadows swirled around the room and the floor, the smell of Darkness heavy in the air, like an oppressive storm that was looking to destroy. Feeling like she was being moved by puppet strings, Rina numbly made her way around the table, never letting go of Blackout's hand. "You feel it too, right? The...the pull?" That was all Rina could come up with. Rina had this feeling like there was something missing within her, and the closer she was to Blackout the more it felt like this missing piece would be found. "I felt it as soon as you walked up to me... but it wasn't like this. Not this strong..." Rina's voice was soft, barely above a whisper, her eyes darkened with wide pupils, something unidentifiable lurking there. Rina's palm shimmering with what looked like the dusted remains of a dark, sparkling star came up to rest on Blackout's warm cheek. The electric shock that the pair had been feeling each time they touched pierced Rina's fingers as she leaned forward. "I'm sorry... I can't...I don't know what's happening..."As her lips touched Blackout's and her eyes fell closed, she felt a wave of emotion hit her and she thought it might kill her. CHANGE IS NON-EXISTENT WITHOUT ACTION. primeval, we're coupledborn from the universeShiro’s eyes seemed to darken as he was hypnotized by the lady’s gaze, his nerves lighting up on fire with every step Rina took towards him. She mentioned a pull between them and he gave her a gentle nod, “Like gravity..” She was like a star that he couldn’t help gravitating around, he desired to be closer to her but felt wrong to close the distance between them. A glossy look was cast over him, his vision blurring Rina back and forth from a beautiful woman to a shadow. The soldier insensibly got up from his knees to meet the alluring darkness on his feet. “Rina, I…” he struggled to get a response out to her feeling it earlier. Blackout understood was she was talking about, but couldn’t get the words out at the sound that escaped her mouth. The light whispers of hers sent chills throughout his body, the nerves of his cheek lit up like dancing flames as she laid touch to it. Not knowing what he was doing, the man leaned into her with closed eyes as their heads closed in on another, his other hand finding itself at her waist to keep him grounded. His lips brushed against her to lock with hers, feeling an intense warmth and an indescribable sensation. Shiro could hear their chests pounding as his heart erupted with a thunderous tempo. They weren’t dancing, but they might have well been- his hand holding hers with a passionate grip. There were explosions of violet and splashes of indigo during the light show beneath his eyelids. Then it all went silent. His eyes fluttered open to see the shadow of Rina that he had seen earlier, but he started to lose a sense of himself as well. Blinking back and forth, he’d see his arms and then all of a sudden, void-like structures in place of his arms with bright yellow tendrils that gave an impression that it was Fear in his veins. The branches of yellow crackled like lightning and started to seep within the shape of the woman’s. Immediately, Blackout’s sight was erased from existence. “Rina”, the words echoed among the darkness. Shiro could feel her with him, connected to her with such intensity - the intellect couldn’t make anything of it. --- Rina would see a door ultimately at the end of her descent into his darkness. The door was glass-like, but the glass more of an obsidian texture with a black aura that journeyed through it as it’d emit trembles that shook the atmosphere in a discomforting way. If she were to approach it and lay a hand on the handle, it’d be found as locked. Regardless, malicious whispers would start the emit among the darkness in rapid succession. what is your name, child… i can feel your other… what is your name, child... the void is calling don't fearMADE BY ★MEULK OF GS
