I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky. Honestly, Nil was at a loss for words right now. Zidane wasn't mad or upset at all! He was...laughing! The Behemoth relaxed and smile behind that impassive mask of his. Other people really were different from his Master. Zidane seemed so happy, friendly, filled with joy! It was rather contagious, as Nil found himself chuckling at the situation as well...it was pretty funny after all! The merriment and laughter was eventually cut off however, at Zidane's outburst of an idea!...A...bath? Nil tilted his head, people took baths for fun? Well...it made sense he supposed. The baths he was allowed were always very relaxing! But it seemed a strange idea. A house full of bathtubs? It must have lots of rooms with different one right? "Uh, sure! That sounds like a great idea. I didn't get to get a bath in before I left home." Nil answered after Zidane got back to his feet from the tumble he had. For someone with such good balance, they sure seemed to be pretty clumsy too! The robed fellow giggled and rose up with a stretch. Well of course he'd probably take the mask off, who would see him in a bath anyway? Meanwhile the waitress had excused herself due to a bout of laughter at Zidane's tumble, but would eventually return to collect the gil. "Then maybe after we can go to the shop? I'm not sure how adventurers dress really. But I'm willing to learn! Lead the way!"MADE BY VEL OF GS

[attr="class","burst"] [attr="class","whitenight"] ❝ Rina sighed softly and leaned her head back against the edge of the stone pool that she was bathing in. To be honest, she rarely frequented communal bath houses but she was staying overnight in Traverse Town and her body was just so worn from her trip there and working all day. She needed a moment or so to relax. And the Traverse Town bath was the best place a girl could find to relax. With Traverse Town being the ultimate stepping on or off point of the universe it was always a busy place so the people who ran the joint knew what they needed to keep weary travelers happy.
The woman pressed a button nearby and more steaming water surrounded her up to her shoulders and fragrant bubbles followed soon after. It must have been the down time for the bath house, because she was the only one in it at that moment. Rina ran her fingers through the bubbles before deciding to take the hairpin out of her hair. A flood of jet black hair unfurled down Rina’s shoulder and down into the water. She squeezed her eyes shut and held her breath, pushing her body underneath the water just long enough to get every bit of her hair wet. Rina came back up taking in some air, before resting her head back on the stone. This was almost perfect.
“Damn. I wish I had brought something to drink…” she whispered into the empty room.

Zidane laughed nervously until the woman was out of sight again. He slumped over and sucked his tooth. Sure Dagger was his number one but you know, a guy had needs sometimes! It wasn't as if he was hurting anyone any how or touching. He could not help but wince at the thought as it sounded like a child trying to justify stealing a cookie before dinner. It didn't make the cookie sound any less delicious though... shit! And Nil honestly sounded like he could use one. The rouge laughed out as he placed his hands on the table pulled himself up. As a fist went to rest on his hip his right hand moved to pat at his chest. With his tail flagged up and wiggling around it was clear he was up to his usual, no good antics. The kind that got you locked up for a night.
"You can count on me pal!" Little did the rogue realize was that the physical embodiment of a good conscious was roaming about the town. "If there's anyone who can get you the full experience it's me!" The quick footed rogue would slide up to the Behemoth's side and attempt to sling his arm over the boy's shoulder. "Since you're a homebody I can guess you never seen a girl before." Wholly assured with himself that Nil had to like ladies!
Would be awful awkward of Ziddy had to cover up in front of him. Besiiides it was a good excuse! Teaching the homebody the way of the world would benefit him greatly! Even if it meant getting into a bit of trouble. Not that Zidane wouldn't bail him out of anything happened. What kind of friend would he be otherwise? The public bathes weren't too far, out in the Fifth District, with a lot of the bigger booming businesses! What better place than where the amusement park lay?
He would release the masked traveler and move to head off. "Hurry up! If it gets too late it'll be closed and we'll miss all the fun!" He spun around to call out to Nil, throwing out his arms before resuming his jog off, making sure the big guy could keep up, fully aware of his more -- hasty habits.
It would not have taken them long to arrive. Luckily it was a quiet night and Heartless weren't as prolific as they once were, but could still be a nuisance here and there. It was without incident and the thief arrived at the bathhouse. Placing the payment down, scowling much at the owner for his overpriced hot water-- he looked to Nil and motioned. "This way big guy, take a basket for your clothes." He pointed to the for their clothes and a few necessities since he was sure neither of them had soap or shampoo. The rogue led him toward the male side of the bathing house. As for Beatrix...It seemed they were passing out coupons today and a young maiden with smooth, supple skin was handing them out at the pub. She would offer the knight one before moving along. A bathe at the house for just half off, get spoiled! It was a lame tagline, but no one ever turned down a hot, communal bathe, right? MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky. Tonight was going so well! A new friend, a good meal, and now a chance at a nice warm bath? It was almost enough to make him cry!...Okay maybe he already teared up once at the soup, but who's counting? Happy tears are great! Better than what he'd been having for a while now. Was kindness like this something common? Nil wanted to believe it was but the test pool was rather small so far. One yes, one no. It would take more time to see if everyone out there was as nice or at least nicer than his Master...the latter probably wouldn't be too hard, right? Nil only flinched slightly when Zidane put an arm over his shoulder, an ingrained reaction really. He trusted his monkey-tailed companion, friendly physical contact was just a new one on the Behemoth. "Oh...uhm. The lady who brought our food was a girl." That counted right? I mean, sure he had seen girls before! The waitress was one, there were several that were walking around the town. Nil had to admit that was a strange question to ask. It seemed entirely out of nowhere and wholly unrelated to taking a bath! Maybe Zidane's mind just ran really fast and jumped between ideas. He seemed really energetic. Before Nil could ask though, Zidane was on the move. "A-ah, coming!"This town was really pretty, Nil thought to himself as he followed his friend through the winding streets, but something was confusing him...They had surely been here for several hours, and the ride in the crates took some time as well. It was night when he left and it was still night time? The books said time flies when you're having fun, but it seemed like it was at a stand still. Being lost in thought slowed the Behemoth down, and the pondering was only broke by Zidane calling out and urging him onward. "Right, sorry!" he replied before jogging forward to catch back up. Luckily the bath house wasn't much farther, so Nil didn't have to jog long. Just enough to be winded is all. Were people always in such a hurry? Following Zidane into the building, he would bow in thanks to the owner as they passed by. "Huh? A basket?" why would he need a basket? Either way he grabbed one up and followed along. There were a lot fewer doors here than he was expecting. Where were all the bathrooms then? When the two arrived at the door for the men's side, Nil looked around questioningly. "Ahm...Zidane? Where are the other doors? I mean I don't mind waiting in line for a bath, but I figured a bath house would have a lot of them."MADE BY VEL OF GS

Strange new worlds and the war within them. It wasn’t alcohol but the cider that the barkeep offered was quite splendid. Beatrix was surprised at the warm, sweet liquid that carried a musky, smoky taste with it. It didn’t taste like any particular fruit in particular, as she had expected to find a spicy apple or pear taste reaching her taste buds. It was something else entirely, something she couldn’t quite place. Nevertheless, she was glad that she hadn’t argued with the man or left to find a different stall. Fate was working in her favor, at least in the current moment of time.
“Please enjoy this complimentary coupon.” The energetic, female voice interrupted the General’s thoughts and drew her attention to the young maiden standing just to her left. She was a bubbly woman from the look of her, with the curves and outfit to draw the attention of wayward travelers -- specifically interested in the female form. She was smiling almost as bright as the lanterns about the bar, cheery despite the marketing job she had been hired to take part in. In her hand was a thin piece of paper, sporting emboldened words written in near-glittering ink. Beatrix slowly reached out and took the paper, eyeing both it and the girl carefully.
“Coupon?” she asked, even as she turned her gaze down to the parchment. On it was written ‘Come to the public bathhouse today and get half off your session! Spoil yourself! Complimentary cleaning items are provided upon payment. Coupon cannot be combined with other coupons to get a free session. Side effects of public bath are extreme cleanliness, metaphysical satisfaction and possibility of meeting new friends.’
“Yep! The Fifth Distract Bathhouse wants to help you wash away the stress of your day! But better hurry; this is only for today!” The woman delivered her rehearsed speech with gusto and impressive flair. She gave Beatrix a small wave and then moved past her to the next bar patron, ready to deliver the same gift and message.
“A bathhouse…” Beatrix wondered aloud as she turned the coupon over, looking to see if there was any other handwriting. It did seem awfully convenient for this… gift to arrive in her hands, so soon after everything that had happened with the Heartless, Tifa and Ramza. Only they and the man allied with the dark beings even knew she was here, with only the familiar two knowing her name and title. Was it possible someone had realized she had come here and was attempting to lure her into a trap? Or maybe they were an ally, trying to let her know she wasn’t alone? It seemed unlikely that it was just random happenstance but it was still considered.
Whether it was a trap, a meeting or just a gift, Beatrix was more than a little interested in seeing what it meant. And if it turned out to be nothing more than marketing luck, then she would at least have the satisfaction of getting a steamy bath to relax her tension -- something she sorely needed. She downed the rest of the cider and handed a handball sized orb of munny to the barkeep. When his eyes widened in surprise, the General knew she had substantially overpaid for her drink.
The Fifth District was easy to locate; Traverse Town had large enough signs pointing to each distract to follow. The bathhouse wasn’t advertising with large neon lights like other stores but after questioning a few passing townies, she was able to find it. She did pause to marvel at the glowing words used in the signage; they didn’t flicker from any internal flame or anything. Perhaps they were created by steam, like one of Regent Cid’s inventions. She’d have to ask -- after her bath.
The man in the front was more than elated to see a new customer, eagerly taking her coupon and explaining all the benefits that came with the purchase of a session. Beatrix brought out one of the smaller orbs of currency and watched as he cleared his throat and explained how much was still due. Doing so gave her the opportunity to note the amount that the globe was actually worth. She’d have to experiment a bit more with the other sizes once she got out of there. She paid the amount she needed and then followed the man’s directions. She was given a basket to deposit her clothes and weapon and pointed in the direction of the female side of the baths.
It had been quite some time since Beatrix had bathed alongside other people. Back when she was training for the Alexandrian army, the trainees took baths in separate sections much like this. But that was years ago; after becoming a General, she had been given her own quarters with her own personal and private bath. It was kind of fun to think about the nostalgia that she was about to take part in. She was quick to undress her military attire and dress in a robe but, unlike the other patrons she imagined, she took her basket with her into the bathing area with her sword resting on its top. She didn’t know this town well enough to trust its occupants and she wasn’t about to be robbed after having just arrived recently.
She stepped into the bathing area and found only one other woman in it, already having immersed herself in the warm, steamy water. “Hello,” she greeted her as she walked up to the edge of the pool, dipping a foot into the liquid to test it. Oh it was quite splendid. She placed her basket down on the ground beside the pool and then disrobed herself, placing the complimentary article next to the basket after it was properly folded. Then she slid into the water, inhaling deeply as she sunk to her shoulders and releasing the air from her lungs as she settled into it. This… this was almost as good as a hard drink.

Rina jerked slightly as she heard the quiet voice permeate the even quieter environment. It appeared as Rina relaxed in the shallow pool that she may have dozed off. She hadn’t even realized that she had been as tired as she was. Rina blinked a couple of times to wake her eyes up and take in the newcomer that had stepped into the bath. She was a gorgeous woman with legs for miles and lovely brown hair. Rina wished her hair would like that great just once. The only thing off about her appearance was a white eyepatch that spread across the right side of her face. Perhaps she had been attacked? That was an unfortunate hand to be dealt. But the patch didn’t make her any less beautiful.
Rina smiled and nodded at her, scooting her own legs out of the way so there would be more room. “Oh hi. You startled me. I think I might have fallen asleep.” Rina sighed and rolled her shoulders underneath the water. “My name’s Rina by the way.”

Zidane was keen on the idea of a nice bath, given that he smelled like grease and a layer of sweat. He had been working at the tavern they had just eaten at, as an entertainer, to fill his pocket with gil. Sure he could pinch a few valuables from residents, but as far as he could see that was what they were. People who lived here. Talking with some of them he learned a large majority, if not all, had come to reside here in Traverse Town because they had lost their home or had fallen to a dark entity, but awoke here. He wanted to help improve their lives, in the stead of taking what few belongings they did have. But working for your gil was rough when you had to bounce around stage all day.
It brought back memories of home and only fueled that longing to return, but Invincible was keeping him here and until he could find what the ship wanted him to find, he was stuck! As they crossed Districts the rogue would point out various structures and their use. He even told Nil about the amusement park in the District, this place was popular for people to have fun, forget about their problems for a while. It was a classic tourist trap, he could both appreciate it and fall for it, if not for the fact he was saving up his coin!
When they arrived Zidane had paid for them both and they entered the men's side. "Tsk, too bad it isn't co-ed..." Some worlds, or so he's heard, they had co ed bathing! "Ah dreams of youth..." He joked as he began to remove his vest, turning his head to look at Nil. "Other doors? Unless you plan on jumping to the lady's side... this is where we bathe."
The thief motioned out to the waters, the wide, steamy room. It seemed they were not the only ones. To, very older, gentlemen, sat in a separate spring, talking about times passed. More and more pieces of the tailed boy's outfit was removed before all were folded in the basket and slid into the cubbie. He retrieved a scrubbing brush and moved to the faucets. he sat down on a stool and motioned to the one beside him
"Come on buddy, don't be shy. This is how men gain skinship you know? Guys who bathe together -- something something. I can't remember what Baku said it did, but whatever right? Getting nice and clean after a long day is the best!" He began to shampoo his hair and clean up. As it was you had to wash up before heading into the baths for a soak! MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky. Nil had grown more and more confused with each passing moment. Why was there only one bathroom for guys? Why was the room wide open? Why were there people here already? Shouldn't they wait until they were done? These questions ran through Nil's head like unsolvable math problems until it finally clicked. A bath house wasn't a house full of baths. It was another name for a sauna! Which meant that...oooh no. "I-I don't know if this is such a good idea Zidane. I don't think anyone would appreciate me being here. I should just wait." he stammered awkwardly as he nervously rubbed his arm. All the while the monkey-tailed thief was going about stripping and showering. Though the protesting seemed to fall on deaf ears. Or wet ears. If it was just the two of them, then maybe Nil could get over the fact he's a monster and would potentially scare his new friend away. But there were other people in here too! He'd cause some kind of panic! A monster loose in the bath house? That'd be terrible for business. Not to mention having to deal with the wet fur smell! It didn't seem like Zidane would be one to take no for an answer on this though. And he did already pay for him to be here. It'd be terribly rude of Nil to just waste his friend's money like that after coming all this way. Maybe even more rude than scaring people away!...Maybe. "A-alright, I'm sorry." Even after agreeing reluctantly, Nil gave pause and sighed. If he was lucky he'd not get chased off with torches. Just pitchforks maybe. Tentatively he grabbed his mask and pulled it free, sitting it gently in the basket. The nature of the robe he wore however still kept his features shielded for the moment, but it was now clear that those horns of his were attached. A shaky hand grabbed at the zipper of the robe. It was now or never! A zip, a tug, and a flourish and the robe was off, held in the metal arm of the young behemoth, who's pinkish fur was on display for the first time. Nil was obviously tense but trying his damnedest to act like it was no big deal. His tail was curled tightly around his left leg as he folded the robe and put it into the basket before doing the same with the scrap of cloth he wore. It was probably just a matter of seconds now before a scream right? Someone freaking out and fleeing in a terrified, albeit hilarious, slippery escape? Nil grabbed a scrub brush and plopped down on the stool next to Zidane. "I uh...Sorry." Nil couldn't really think of what to say now. Just wash and wait for the inevitable freakout and mob. At least he'd be clean before being chased off right? There's that much. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Strange new worlds and the war within them. Beatrix had surprised the woman out of her dozing, catching sight of her jerking just enough to wake her. She bowed her head gently. "My apologies, I didn’t mean to disturb you,” she professed as she sunk into the water. Once she had settled in, she allowed herself a small smile as the girl explained exactly what she had already guessed. "Understandable. Water this comfortable could make anyone think about taking a small nap.” She could practically feel her muscles sigh in relief at the feeling of the water easing their tension and soreness. The battle with the Heartless had been a weary one and getting some aid – even as basic as a bath - -was welcome.
"Rina, it is a pleasure to meet you. I’m General Beatrix of the kingdom of Alexandria,” she introduced herself back. "But please, feel free to just call me Beatrix.” Though she was accustomed with introducing herself with her full title and all, she was always quick to bring the nobility of her introductions down a peg. No need in having everyone refer to her as ‘General’ or ‘ma’am’ that weren’t presently under her employ.
"This is… a nice place. My introduction to this town was far less friendly, I must admit. It seemed like sheer luck that I acquired a coupon for a reduced visit,” she wondered aloud, both engaging the woman in conversation as well as airing her own notions. She took a moment before she slipped under the surface of the water, submerging herself in the shallow liquid for a brief breath before rising up once more. With her hair now drenched and the sweat from her battle dribbling away, she took a moment to shake her locks before she set herself again. "If you don’t mind me asking, what do you know about this place? The town, I mean?”

Rina smiled politely at the woman across from her, lifting her leg so her toes poked up from the edge of the water. “It’s nice to meet you as well, Beatrix. I don’t think I’ve ever met a general before. That sounds like it would be a tough job.” Rina leaned her head back against the stone and let her eyes drift closed again. Beatrix mentioned that she hadn’t had a great experience with the town yet and that made Rina frown and look up. The young woman felt small waves hit against her body as Beatrix ducked into the water and came back up. As she surfaced she asked Rina if she knew anything about the town. Rina’s frown turned into a sly smile.
“What would you like to know? I used to live here as a young girl. I grew up here.” Rina grew silent and wiggled the toes that were above the water. “I ended up hating this place. The town was so small and there were so many people. Every day ended up feeling like the day before. It was suffocating. I ended up leaving and hardly ever coming back. I’m here now just for business.” Rina realized she was rambling and laughed softly. “Sorry. That wasn’t what you asked me was it?”

He looked up when Nil had finished disrobing. He placed his towel around his waist and stood with his hands on his hips, ever the proud and boisterous guy. His own body was quite lithe, arms toned, but thin. He didn't have much body fat, if at all, his tail like the most muscular thing on his form. He would blink once.
Than twice.
He stared at the figure before him. His jaws parted as his arms pulled back in shock, even horror and a little bit of awe. His blue eyes darted up and down the lad's form as he squeaked.
"Holy shit Nil!" He barked. "You're a scrawny ass. That robe makes you look like you're built like a tank." the thief slumped over before standing up tall, sucking his tooth.Gay ass thoughts drifting away when he realized he was wrong about Nil's build. he was expecting this beefy, muscular lump under all that robe. He was a husk. Man.He looked up to the horns and pointed at them accusingly. It was those things that made him look bigger too. The thief threw his hands up in the air and sighed. "We really need to get you some proper clothes, that robe totally doesn't suit you." Zidane seemed to be conflicted about something but alas now that he was nice and clean, scrubbed all down, he made way to the hot tub.He tossed his towel and let it land back down around his neck as he sunk into the water. he had chosen this tub because it faced the temporary wall that split what was like once a co op bath, but with so many bodies moving in and out of Traverse Town and so many cultures they like closed it off in lieu of decency's sake. The wall didn't reach the ceiling, as it likely pulled back to make cleaning easier. It wasn't as if the bathes on Gaia were much different. If you couldn't afford it or were in the military or something, you bathed in groups! He used to share a washing basin with five other guys. This was a luxury. He glared at the wall, digging his pinkie finger into his ear to clear out the wax with a pop. "Hey Nil, you know there's some worlds where guys and girls bathe together?" He looked over to the purple-furred twig. Man.. disappointing. "You got any girls you like?" He was still intent on teaching Nil a proper means to mischief. "It's tradition for the youngest of the group to try and climb the barrier there and get a eye full of his first girl." It wasn't a lie! He was the youngest int he gang once ... he had the scars to prove it!Actually Zidane's body was pretty cut up. Old scars, fresh ones and bruises that all had their own stories. He was a walking bard's tale! MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky. That was...not at all the reaction that Nil had anticipated. No screams, no fleeing in terror. He was certain that Zidane wasn't blind...he couldn't speak for the old fellows that arrived before them. But even still, that the only comment Zidane made was on his weight was a shocker for the behemoth. He looked himself over with a tilt of his head. He never really thought of himself as scrawny before. But the thief was certainly right, Nil could certainly use to gain a few pounds. He gave a relieved little chuckle though, if that was the only comment his new friend had about him, it was a good day...Or maybe Zidane was just in shock and would freak out later! Only time could tell. As he sat there and went about his pre-soak cleaning, Zidane mentioned something about getting him some clothes. "O-oh, no, that's okay. I don't have any money for them anyway." he wasn't about to impose further on the guy, they had only just met today!...But was that normal for friendships? Is that how they worked or something? It's hard to make sense of things when you spent most of your life indoors. Either way, he couldn't just continue to rely on the kindness of others right? Once nice and clean, Nil made his way over and slid carefully into the hot water with a sigh. Oh this was so much nicer than the baths at home! The water felt like it was actually going to stay warm for longer than a few minutes, this was amazing! No wonder people paid so much money to come here. The behemoth practically melted as he relaxed in the water, Zidane could likely hear the soft rumbling sound of a purr escaping Nil. At his friend's question, Nil's ears wiggled and he peeked his peepers open to look over at his friend curiously. Hadn't he asked this kind of question before?...Wait did he actually answer it the first time, or had he just thought he did. "I never met a girl before we saw the lady at the restaurant." he replied with a shake of his head. Honestly the only other person he had ever seen before today was his Master, so it wasn't like the pool of people he had met was particularly high. Nil glanced over at the barrier wall when Zidane mentioned something about climbing it. He furrowed his brow in thought and glanced at the slick floor around the pool. He flicked his ears again and listened, it did sound like there were people on the other side of the wall, but... "That...that doesn't seem very safe, Zidane. The floor's all wet and I bet the wall's slick too." Nil sunk a little deeper into the bath, just his enough to let his nose rest above the water and his hair float freely around him before popping back up and leaning against the side. "And I've never really climbed anything besides a ladder before. How do you even climb a wall?"MADE BY VEL OF GS

Strange new worlds and the war within them. It sounds like it would be a tough job. "It can be, at times. Admittedly, it has been rather… uneventful for quite some time. My kingdom has seen an unprecedented period of peace that has allowed the military to take step back and allow other faculties to evolve and grow. But it is still a position I hold with pride, as I get to command some of the brightest and bravest soldiers I’ve ever known.” Beatrix had been a General in the Alexandrian army for quite some years now and, even during the darker periods of her occupation; she had pride in her troops. It had only been she that had felt like she had fallen from grace and needed to be removed from the position and situation of Alexandria’s renaissance. Yet her husband had been quick to convince her otherwise.
She could sense the bitterness in Rina’s form before she heard it in her voice. The confirmation of her growing up here was quickly followed by the admission of dissatisfaction with the town as a whole. It was strange to hear that she considered the town to be small – given everything she had seen so far, it actually felt quite large in terms of other towns she had visited. But to a girl whose soul was looking for something grander, something more exciting, the small old place could feel crushing after some time in it. The Gods knew she had felt that way when she was younger, at least once or twice. She raised a hand and waved her apology off. "No need. Your feelings, I’m sure, are brought on for many a reason that I could never understand. Besides, I believe public baths like this are meant to form cordial connections between its attendants. We’re merely taking part in the routine.” She smiled at that as she shifted into a position that was more comfortable.
"I suppose my question is to its location. I do not know much about astrology but the stars above this place seem far and different from the ones above my own kingdom. I’ve already begun to assume that this is not on my world of Gaia, as the name ‘Twilight Town’ doesn’t bring any speck of remembrance to me. I suppose I wish to know more about it; its history, it’s ruling party and perhaps a means to leave it and travel to another world.”

Rina returned the General’s kind smile. The young woman mulled over Beatrix’s words. She wanted more information on the world they were on. The inner workings. Rina chewed on her lip in thought. She was sure the much had changed in the years that had been gone but from the outside it seemed the world was still run the same way. After a moment, Rina shook her head. “No… this is not a place called Gaia.” Even in the warm water, Rina couldn’t help but shiver. Gaia? Was she from Rina’s Gaia? The Planet that Rina had lived on for so long? She didn’t think so. She would remember this woman. “Traverse Town is its own world. Yes, its name suggests a small place, but it indeed is its own large and flourishing celestial body. As for its history you may have to refer to someone else, but I’ll tell you my two cents. This place… is full of refugees. People whose homes have been destroyed by the Darkness will end up here. People lost and with no where to go will end up here. Little girls with no parents and no one to take care of them…they end up here. This world takes in the hopeless and helpless. And it always has and probably always will…”Rina grew silent and actually had to clear her throat of a lump that she didn’t know had rose up. Who knew that there must have been a scrap of fondness for this rock within Rina? She thought all she harbored was hatred. The young woman sighed. Well this had been her home… Rina shook her head to clear it and spoke again. “As for travel? There’s only one way. Well. At least for me.” She grinned. “Gummi ship.”

Zidane couldn't believe what he was hearing. First off this guy had never met a girl? What sort of backwards place did he live in before this? Even the rouge, who lived among a bunch of crooked, rowdy, rogues with the majority of his gang falling towards the male persuasion women were an essential part of his life! Of course he only had one girl he really felt keen towards, but the thief was being swept up in the moment, trying to be cool in the eyes of his new buddy! No way he could let such heresy stand! He had to show him the way!
He remembered how shy he was the first time Blank introduced him to his girl. It lasted for all but three minutes before he was cracked across the face for expressing his genuine desires, but it taught Zidane something: he could be way better than Blank when it came to handling women, so each and every encounter Zidane set off to outdo him! Sure it led to a few, bloody fist fights between them, what with the young rogue ruining more than a few dates, so he more than earned a few bruises. But it was that rite of passage that had truly prepared him. The dare among dares!
"I dare you to peep over the curtain, ya fairy."
Zidane remembered those words fondly, if he remembered much of the day at all after Ruby pummeled him within an inch of his life.
Fond, fond memories...
Zidane sighed, as an old man reminiscing the days of olde would, lowering his head as he reached up to grip Nil's shoulders. "Nil, let me tell you there is nothing in life you reach by playing it safe!" He climbed out of the water, wrapping a towel around his waist. With his hand on his hips he stood proud and tall, at least as tall as the Genome could. "There are givers and there are takers Nil. You gotta be both!" With that Zidane kicked off the ground and clung to the wall's corners like a spider scaling a building. He shuffled up and jumped over to the separating screen that parted the bathing houses.
He seemed an old expert, but it was difficult. How many years had it been? Man he was getting old! "See?! It's totally easy--!"
Famous last words.
When Zidane threw his arms up to declare solidarity he nearly lost grip. To protect his undercarriage hands would automatically drop ship, but in doing so he was unable to hold onto the wall properly and fell backwards into the opposite room. With a cacophonous splash and sputtering flailing the rogue would have hit the surface of the hot water before struggling above.
"Aaaaaah!" He gasped out before rubbing his knuckles into his eyelids, clearing the steamy water. "W-wh--?" He stilled.
Slowly his head would turn back behind him as his eyes fell upon the women occupying the bathe.
"...I have made a calculated risk." He declared, before slumping a bit. "But man, I am bad at maths..." As if to herald the beginning of the end the bell of the clocktower tolled midnight... MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS
