| | Knitted canopies where the soft light of the sun flittered through the leaves onto the dirt paths dug by traveling heels. Smooth stones littered the edges of the woods as tall grasses defied the borders of man, snaking into the wood carved cabins as easily as they did the trees. Here nature was a prolific ally to the hunters and healers of these woods. But the gentle air was shattered by the scraping cackles of these beasts from the void. Heartless, of the most basic form, crept about. The peaceable landscape was occasionally broken apart by the jagds in the distance: a place forever scarred by the frozen, crystal flames of a terror from long ago. In the heart of Old Gridania, in Mih Khetto’s Amphitheater, crowds and crowds had gathered for the celebration of love, held annually on the star of Eorzea. This brought many, less than helpful, Moogles from the forest to aide in the festivities. Little did the kupo munching amateurs of love realize but the hedge maze set up to be a lover’s obstacle course had been infested by these nasty void-sent! Another name for them?
Heartless….
Ten of them... "They're over here, kupo!!!" The moogle shouted towards their rescuers.

Mordred ran through the woods towards the amphitheater. He was unsure why he was answering this distress call beyond a promise of Hearts. These moogles seemed incapable of extracting Hearts from people or Heartless. Still, it was a lead Mordred didn't have before so he had to follow it to its conclusion. Besides, he could use this as an opportunity to get some exercise in. Sure, the fight with Snow was a good stretch of his abilities, but he wasn't really going all out in that fight. He saw that as more of an opportunity to gauge his opponent than himself. Mordred finally got out of the woods and continued running in the direction of the amphitheater and the hedge maze. Quite the crowd had gathered for the events of this festival, as Mordred slid under tables being set up and vaulted over food trays, attracting the attention of more than a few people. He adjusted his glasses as he closed in on the hedge maze, currently being guarded so as to prevent entry. This was where the Heartless were supposed to be and Mordred could sense the darkness that permeated through the maze. He heard the moogle point him in the direction of the Heartless and Mordred ignored him as he did a side-flip over the guards and landed right in the hedge maze.
It was dark in the mazes, the tall hedges blocking out the sun. Mordred really didn't understand how a hedge maze could possibly be useful in a festival dedicated to that most unpredictable of emotions, love. Then again, his closed Heart wouldn't allow him to feel such an emotion to begin with. But that was for the best. As always, someone unburdened by emotions had to fix a problem made by those that were. He cracked his fingers and his neck before proceeding onward. He tried to sense the kinetic energy in the air, the motions of any creatures bearing on him. He was unsure if the Heartless would take an interest in him, but that could prove useful. He could sneak up on them and destroy them without any harm done to himself. Mordred continued, the sounds of the festival getting quieter and quieter as he delved deep into the maze.

| | The mystery of the hedge maze's participation in this event may have been confusing to some. But, it had become more of a tradition than something meaningful and making sense. The maze was there and the screams from the participants currently lost and trapped in the maze was the priority. They had no idea that they may lose their hearts to someone that didn't already hold it.
As Mordred rounded the corner of the maze, he would come face to face with a dead end. In this section though, there was a couple cornered by two heartless who had taken interested in them. The female protecting the male as she swung her small staff at them. She was not able to use magic in the town or teleport them out of the maze. They were at the mercy of the help that had arrived. "Sir! Help! Please!" They cried.
In the distance, in another part of the maze, a small battle could be heard. Though, it did not sound like it was going very well. The emotionless man would have to work quickly if he wanted to assist the event participants.
A small moogle appearing behind Mordred as it peeked over his shoulder. "Kupo!!! You said you'd help!! A couple of the moogles that volunteered to help are trapped in the maze too! We gotta move quicker, kupo! Pick up the pace! Please, kupo!!! We gotta get to the letter sorting plant too, after this!" The moogle re-stated. The man should have know what he was signing up for.

How ridiculous. Not only did they already have people in the maze with Heartless about but they were battling the Heartless themselves. Mordred sighed in frustration and cracked his knuckles. "You should've evacuated everyone first and waited until I arrived. But I suppose it can't be helped." The fact that he now had a moogle nagging him to go faster was not helping matters. Mordred was tempted to let the couple be destroyed by the Heartless... but that also meant he wouldn't be able to take their Hearts. Instead he flipped over the couple and the Heartless, landing behind the two creatures of Darkness. He then dropped down, supporting himself with one hand and did a sweeping circular kick into one Heartless, using both the kinetic energy in his sweep and the kinetic energy in his body to deliver a lethal kick to his adversary. However, that wasn't all, as he used his momentum to throw the Heartless at his comrade, propelling them into the Hedge Maze wall with his leg. While that should've been enough to take down those Heartless, he was positive the rest would not be so weak. He turned towards the couple and pointed to the exit. "Run while you still have the chance." Mordred then ran further down the maze and jumped up onto the wall. He saw no reason to abide by the rules of the maze. It wasn't like he was among the participants and he did not have time to dawdle.
Mordred looked around from his perch atop the maze wall. He then saw a spot further where the hedges were being disturbed and shaking about. It wasn't until he saw the barest hint of a Heartless jumping to attack its prey that Mordred knew definitively where to go. Mordred bounded over the maze walls with a style and grace all his own. He soon arrived at the battle and jumped into the fray, aiming a punch directly at one of the Heartless to slam it into the ground. He then straightened up and looked around to get a better view of his surroundings. If the moogle was right and Mordred had no reason to believe it was lying, there was still a factory to take care of as well. Mordred shook his head. The only reason he was even here was for the Hearts. If the Heartless got to them before he could, they would be gone forever, lost to the Darkness. Eden needed to be sustained. Mordred continued to fight on, jumping towards another Heartless and delivering a devastating axe kick to it.

| | The heartless in front of Mordred had no idea what was coming. It wasn't until the being interfered that they acknowledged his presence. They had been blind sided. The first heartless was kicked a bit hard and was knocked sideways into the hedges of the maze. They were rather weak, luckily for Mordred, that they were easily dismissed. The two humans standing before Mordred were surprised by his actions. The man began to cry, thanking the man between his sobs. The female patting his back and nodding in thanks to Mordred as they slipped by him to work on finding their way out of the maze.
The moogle had some visible steam appear from his head as he huffed a bit at the comments. "We couldn't, Kupo! They were already inside when it happened! I sent someone in to try and help, kupo. But they haven't come out yet either. Oh, I hope they're okay!!" The moogle worried aloud as Mordred jumped up onto the tall hedges. The moogle made a surprised noise before floating up. "H-hey! You're not supposed to do that! You're going to damage the maze more, kupo!!!" The moogle planned on following him through the entire ordeal as it floated close, making unhappy noises that he was walking on it.
As Mordred jumped down after locating the next two heartless, they were still off guard, but they had been alerted. The first heartless was smashed to the ground in a slight daze while the second failed to dodge the kick, disappearing. The other fighter was unconscious laying against the hedges as three more heartless emerged from the ground to surround Mordred. The dazed one shook it's head before pouncing toward's Mordred's exposed back as he'd aimed to kick the other heartless. Claws extended hoping to make contact as two of the other three jumped to join the assault.
The remaining heartless moved to steal the heart of the unconscious boy. The moogle alerting Mordred. "H-Hey! They're attacking the boy, Kupo!!!" The moogle warned as he moved to try and tug on the heartless's 'ears'.

Mordred sighed. This moogles was already getting on his nerves, which was supposed to be impossible for Mordred. He would have to ensure that what was left of his Heart remained in its cage. "Would you prefer me wasting my time with navigating the maze and leading to more lives lost or a maze that can be fixed?" Hopefully, logic would prevail in this instance. However, Mordred suddenly flinched as the Heartless's claws dug into his back. This moogle was going to get him destroyed if he distracted him enough. The other two leapt to attack him and another was moving its way towards the unconscious guard. Mordred had only a moment to react but it was all he needed. Reaching out with his Telekinesis, he "grabbed" the guard's weapon, a spear. Mordred then shot it at the Heartless threatening the boy, which then proceeded to shoot towards Mordred, it looked like. However, the spear merely passed Mordred's cheek by mere inches. Mordred grabbed the spear and swung it in a wide arc, slashing at both of the leaping Heartless, before spinning it around and stabbing downwards at the one who damaged him before. He looked at the nagging moogle with an emotionless glare.
"If you continue distracting me with your frivolous problems and getting in harm's way, then we will both be destroyed. The only difference being you will be the only one losing a complete Heart. If you insist on following me, however, then you can be my compass. You know this maze better than I do, after all. And who's this other person you sent in?" If there was someone else in this maze fighting the Heartless, then it couldn't be too bad. However, that also meant another person to save. Speaking of which... "Better yet, you can get some people to carry that guard out of here. It's not safe for him, even if he was awake and alert. I'll see if I can find this other person you mentioned." Mordred once again jumped on top of the maze wall, likely to the protests of his newfound moogle companion. He also kept the spear on his person. The guard was in too bad a shape to be able to use it anyways. Mordred scanned for any signs of battle and also any signs of the Heartless returning to his position. He had a feeling that his fighting might have drawn other Heartless to him. That was fine. He had no Complete Heart to give anyways, so the Heartless would merely find themselves at the losing end of a one-sided battle.

| | The moogle continued to make noises as it pulled on the heartless's antennea. It was trying so hard to keep it away from the boy that was unconscious. The moogle huffed a bit at Mordred's argument. "Can't you do both!? Cause those hedges are hundreds of years old! It'll take years to fix it, kupo!!!! Countless moogle-labor hours!!!" The moogle exclaimed to him. Noting that he'd been attacked by one of the rouge heartless. "Be careful, kupo!!!" He warned, just a little bit late. The heartless finally taking notice of the moogle's loud voice and morphing into a shadow to try and shake the moogle. The moogle kupoing a bit in protest before it re-emerged from the shadow. The moogle taking hold again. "You gotta be quick, kupo!!!"The spear causing the moogle to let out a startled noise at it destroyed the heartless near the boy, causing the moogle to fly up into the air from the loss of grip. The moogle spun a few times, holding it's head a bit as it caught it's balance. It's eyes meeting Mordred's as it shrunk a bit at the glare. "They're not frivolous!!!" the moogle defended. He huffed a bit knowing that the mission was one to ditch him. "Wait! You're leaving me here with him, kupo!?" The moogle cried in protest, spinning in circles trying to debate it's next actions. "STAY OFF THE HEDGES, KUUUUUPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" The moogle steamed again as the being took no regards for the antient hedges. The clangs continued near the other end of the maze, obviously someone fighting someone metalic. Upon closer inspection, there was a young au ra girl swinging her sword and fighting a guard armor. The sword clanging off it's armor as she fought it, defending the remaining event goers that had come to enjoy the festivities. "GET BACK!" She defended as she struck out at the guard armor again. Mordred would find that when he entered the area to assist, the remaining 3 shadow heartless has emerged along with two green requiems. The requiems moving to heal what little damage that the au ra had caused to the guard armor. The three shadow heartless directly attacking Mordred. Mordred saw the Guard Armor almost immediately. Not that it was particularly difficult, Guard Armors being rather tall. However, this was not going to be easy. Guard Armor's limbs could attack independently, meaning taking one on was more of a group effort. It was certainly no place for a moogle without any combat experience. Mordred ignored the moogle's shouting as he looked down. "You're not going to be able to fight this particular Heartless. As I said, get someone to come collect that guard. If you need my assistance, give me a shout. You seem to be rather exceptionally good at that." With that, Mordred bounded for the Guard Armor and jumped in for the fight. It didn't take much time for reinforcements to show up and of course there were Green Requiems. They had to be taken out first or else both him and this strange-looking knight would be wasting their efforts. Unfortunately, more Shadows appeared and intended to destroy the Nobody. Mordred opted for another wide swing from his spear to take care of all three shadows.
Looking up at the Green Requiems, he gathered Kinetic Energy into the edge of his free hand, as if he was about to give someone a very dangerous chop. This wouldn't be too far off the mark as Mordred swung wide, shooting a Kinetic Blade at the Requiems. Hopefully, it would cut through them and into the Guard Armor, killing three birds with one stone in this case. However, Mordred had a backup plan, as he always did. He pointed at the Guard Armor and gathered more Kinetic Energy at the tip of his pointing finger. It looked like a sphere of wind and heat, invisible and yet bending the light around it to form a clear sphere. Mordred then shot the Kinetic Bullet at his quarry, hoping to pierce the armor and deal a fair chunk of damage to it. He hoped he wouldn't have to invoke the Voidsuit but none of the guards here seemed capable of taking the Heartless on. Mordred looked at the small knight. "Beware of the green ones. They will heal our adversaries. If you have any magic, now would be a good time to use it." Mordred said in that same calm, emotionless tone. Even in the heat of battle, Mordred's voice barely raised in volume. Luckily, the nagging moogle was far away and Mordred hoped that the fight here would draw the Heartless to this location and away from any other people.
---------
Telekinesis: Equally feared as Mordred's Martial Arts skills is his ability to manipulate objects with his mind. At no cooldown, Mordred can "grab" an item and pull it towards himself to put it in his hand. Mordred can lift almost any reasonably sized object, though heavier objects take more effort on his part. Due to the force at which Mordred can throw an object, even rather innocuously small objects can act like bullets, provided that the target isn't wearing armor that's too thick. Large objects that are used as shields and not to attack are still subject to the same cooldown (If Mordred uses a car to defend himself from a firing squad and then drops it to resume his attack, he's still subject to the same cooldown for Large Objects) The cooldowns are for the largest object used. For example, if Mordred uses that car, he has to wait 4 posts before telekinetically shooting a bullet. [Note: For combat only Medium objects (most conventional weapons, incapacitated people, etc.) = [Cooldown: 2 posts]
Kinetic Bullet: Mordred shoots a bullet of Kinetic Energy at his opponent, dealing medium non-elemental damage that pierces armor. [Cooldown: 3 posts]
Kinetic Blade: Mordred slices with his hand or leg to create a wave of kinetic energy that slices all opponents in front of him, dealing heavy non-elemental damage [Cooldown: 4 posts]

It was like so many little spiders inside your tummy. That insistent pull in this direction or in that one, the pull that told King Mickey Mouse: “someone is in danger!” or “gathering hearts over this way!” As much as he tried to ignore the call and the near magnetic pull when help was desperately needed (given that it tended to be needed nearly everywhere) it usually wasn’t long before his majesty was practically being dragged by his tail through the dark corridor to assist with whatever he could. It wasn’t literal of course. If the mouse absolutely didn’t want to go somewhere someone inclined to try and make him would have found themselves severely surprised and very disappointed by the amount of effort it would have taken them.
Not only was his majesty fretting elsewhere when that tell tale twitch in his left ear began insisting but he was even actively trying to shove it aside. He had his own very important agenda at the moment but when the light was fading and hearts were in danger it was hard for him to ignore. This sense of danger that started as a mere wanderlust seemed to come from multiple directions before centralizing somewhere. It pulled then and tugged at his heart and it told him where to turn in the corridors. Mickey could ignore the calls no longer on that day.
When he emerged into the hedge maze, he was dispensed there quite rapidly, missing a small babbling water fountain by inches at best. ”Golly…” he voiced breathlessly as he used the rail of the stone fountain to bring himself back to his feet. His gloved hands worked at dusting off his knees. It wasn’t long before he spotted the helm ornament of the Guard Armor and he spared a moment to squint at the object before determining what it was. He could hear cries all around him, sense the activity. Well was he a mouse or wasn’t he? If anyone could squeeze through the natural pores of a hedge it was a mouse, swift footed and large eared or otherwise. Mickey sped through the maze, crossing one long path, squeezing through another rather prickly hedge and coming out on the other side of a dead end. It didn’t get him down. He could still see that helm ornament. He could still pick up the noise. ”Hold on fellas! I’m comin t’help ya!” he called in a huff, pushing through as quickly as he could until he finally emerged into the scene.

| | The moogle had been left behind to figure out a way to get the unconcious soldier out of the hedge maze. Meanwhile, the au ra paladin was doing her best to defend the small group of people that she had gathered throughout the maze. She was feeling a little fatigued as she had been holding off the heartless by herself. Her oddly colored eyes flashed over to the hyur that had appeared to assist her. "Stay alert! My attacks seem to not be doing much damage!" She warned the hyur before she heard his warning. Her eyes turned up to the green floating heartless and she nodded in understanding. The paladin closed her eyes and placed a hand forward, palm facing the green floating heartless as she whispered something under her breath, casting Holy Spirit on one of the creatures. The creature spin in the air from the attack. The two also felt the attack from Mordred. The blade hit all three heartless, only the one that the au ra had attacked disappearing in a cloud. The other requiem didn't seem pleased by it's movements and moved to cast cure on the Guard Armor, it having been hit by the Kinetic Energy. Sadly, the creature was not smart, healing the guard armor before the bullet hit it. This drew the guard's attention from the paladin toward Mordred. It clanked as it turned to face him, it's arms spinning in place before the creature's right arm shot forward to attack mordred's left side. The paladin took this chance to attempt to evacuate the attendee's behind the guard armor to get them out. Two of the three shadow heartless that had been left unattended moved to harm Mordred who's focus seemed to be on the guard armor. The third shadow heartless moving to cut Mickey off from the fray. They didn't want him interfereing in this battle. As Mordred kept his eyes trained on his enemies, he felt it. Someone with an impossibly strong Heart had entered the maze, as if he had just arrived by a Corridor. Mordred could practically taste the Heart's radiance with a light nearly untouched by Darkness. If such a being could use the Corridors of Darkness with no ill effects... but no, that couldn't be. Had Mordred finally found a Catalyst? A Heart worthy of activating Eden and ushering in an era of Eternal Peace? Mordred could hardly believe it, but there were more pressing things at hand. Namely, surviving long enough to acquire that Heart. It seemed his enemies decided that Mordred was the bigger threat than the knight. While this was the plan all along, this also meant their attention would be devoted to destroying the Nobody and Mordred couldn't afford being hypnotized by the radiant Heart. Mordred put his arms up to block the Guard Armor's spinning hands just in time for one of them to smack him, sending the Nobody flying. He flipped and landed on his feet, steadying himself as the momentum carried him further, kicking up dirt and grass as his feet dragged along the ground. Mordred looked up and saw the Armor's right arm rear back and then shoot forward at the Nobody. Mordred turned, dropped his spear and dug in with his feet, putting his hands up and using his kinetic energy to bolster his defense. He caught the Guard Armor's arm as it flew into him, pushing back towards the Maze Wall. Mordred did his best push the arm back, keeping it from punching him through the maze.
Then he noticed the newcomer. That same radiant Heart, that Heart of such Great Light, apparently belonged to an anthropomorphic mouse. Did wonders never cease? Mordred wondered if this one was a Keyblade Master as well, just like Master Xehanort. If that was the case, he would definitely need to be stronger if he intended to take his Heart. But for now, he needed to survive to get stronger and if there was one thing Mordred knew, he wasn't going to fade away due to these weak Heartless. Mordred used all of his strength and started spinning like a discus thrower, swinging the Right Arm around and around. As he did so, the two Shadow Heartless would have a rough time attacking, as they would be caught in the path of Mordred's swinging, especially since he was getting closer to the Guard Armor. The spinning got faster and faster and finally, Mordred threw the arm at the Guard Armor, trying to damage it with its own hand. But the battle would be far from over, as the Nobody saw the Paladin evacuating the other attendees. "Knight, there is moogle with an unconscious guard further out in the maze. Take care of them before the moogle shouts about the Hedge Maze being damaged." Mordred then spied the spear and also the Green Requiem that incessantly continued to live. They wouldn't have any chance of taking down the Guard Armor if that Heartless continued to live. Mordred ran, grabbing the spear as he did so and when he got close to the small, flying Heartless, he stabbed the spear into the ground and used it as a pole vault. Letting go of the spear and letting momentum carrying him to the Green Requiem, Mordred spun around and aimed a downward kick right at the Requiem, intending to slam him into the ground. After that attack, he landed on his feet. Once again, he debating on equipping his Voidsuit but with a new arrival and a potential Catalyst at that, he needed to keep his true power hidden. Appearing to be weaker than he was was all part of Mordred's plan, especially when it came to people like Master Xehanort. He couldn't allow anyone to have time to think up of a countermeasure to his abilities. The time would come, but now wasn't it. Mordred instead simply turned back to the Guard Armor and waited for its next move.

The world's that were once locked to Naminé had opened up for her to answer the cries of help that came Within. She didn't know how much help she would honestly be but that wasn't going to stop her from trying. She rushed towards the maze at the beckoning of the Moogle. She could sense the darkness that engulf the maze. It wasn't as strong as it was when she was locked out. So she had assumed that there was at least someone in there already helping. The memory which raced into the maze not fearing what she may encounter. She could sense the heartless we're not too far away but they normally didn't bother Nobodies unless provoked to. Nobodies didn't have anything left that the heartless could possibly want. Naminé stopped running a few feet into the maze. She stood there to catch her breath and calm down. This was a maze after all and needed to get to the heartless as quick as possible. She closed her eyes and tried to read the hearts within the maze. No sooner had she done that her eyes have popped open. She sensed a heart that she knew very well. It was admitting the strongest pull that she could hope for. The heart that was filled with much light was surrounded by other hearts of Darkness and dimming hearts. She could follow the heart of light to pinpoint where to go. The nobody began to run once more using Mickey's heart to guide her. On her way she found a Moogle along with an unconscious young man. It had seemed to be debating on what to do. Naminé rushed up to it, snapped her fingers, and four Dusks appeared on the scene. "Two of you assist the Moogle with the young man and get them out of here. The other two will come with me." She commanded of her nobodies. The two the to stay with the Moogle can rendezvous with us later if possible." Naminé looked at the two that seem to be willing to stay behind. " No hunting hearts! Assist and then come back to me." She order sternly. After that Naminé and two of the other Dusks sped towards Mickey's location. Once they got closer to the scene they could see the Dome head of the Guard Armor heartless, and the clashing of metal and thuds of other objects that were battling. When Naminé turn the corner she could see the Guard Armor, three shadows, and Green Requiem heartless. Battling them seem to be another blonde wearing glasses who's heart Naminé could not fully sense. A young woman who seem to be evacuating the poor by standards that got caught up in all of this, and the keyblader's who is heart of strong light had guided her here, King Mickey Mouse. A shadow heartless had headed straight for the mouse King to delay his way into the fight. "Keep going your majesty." A soft voice would urged the king in his head as the young nobody used her Telepathy on him. As those words would echo only to him, Naminé had simply pointed without a word in the direction of the mouse King. Her two Dusks lept into action. Each raced on either side of the mouse King and passed him up leaping at the shadow heartless that was coming for him. Both giving a slash with their tentacle arms. At the very least if neither of them hit it perhaps they could force into the ground and the King could pass safely. Upon hearing the blonde male's orders to the other girl, Naminé finally spoke up. "Two of my creatures are assisting the Moogle as we speak." Her voice was gentle but her face held a neutral expression. "Perhaps having more people that are willing to fight here is the best course of action?" The nobody suggested a bit unsure of herself as fighting was still very new to her. From reading the other girl she had been the one that held them off till everyone else showed up. It seemed to the Nobody that having her stay with them was more productive for their cause. Naminé turned her attention to the healing requiem heartless. " With that here we're not going to make much leeway with that armored heartless." She thought to herself as her eyebrows knitted together. However, it seemed as though the other fighter who had been fighting the armored heartless had the same notion and already took action. So she turned to the bigger opponent instead. If the other Nobody was successful then hopefully this fight wouldn't last much long. However, with him preoccupied with the Green Requiem, it left him open for attack. So Naminé attempted to distract the Guard Armor until it was the last thing they had to worry about. A sketchbook appeared in the Memory Witch's hand. She opened it to one of her drawings, then chucked the whole book at the Guard Armor to gets attention and keep it from the other fighters till they were ready. "Hey! Over here!" Naminé called to it. Just as the color from the drawing began to drain, those same colors appeared on the Memory Witch, and her appearance began to change. Dusk: Up to 4 Dusks come to my aid per battle. Attack: Hitting enemies by slithering between their legs Defense: taking the hit for Naminé so no bodily damage is inflicted on her. Note: Can't be out with any other summons from her out. HP 1 each Cooldown: One post after all have been defeated. Telepathy: Without make a sound from her mouth Naminé can speak directly to people through her mind to theirs. Comes in handy when she doesn't want certain parties to over hear what she is saying. Often used to each people in difficult places like the depths of darkness or light within their hearts and minds. Outside of battle it can be used freely to as many people as she sees fit within the same world. She can reach those she has or makes a personal connection to from anywhere as long as the meet from this point on. During battle it takes a little more concentration. During battle she has to be looking directly at the people she wishes to contact this could leave her vulnerable to attacks. She can only contact 2 people at a time. The mouse king had barely a moment to take in the surroundings and assess the situation at hand. There was a man fighting. Blonde...and Mickey could sense it by the look on his face. He was a nobody. At that assessment, an admittedly brave little shadow heartless hopped directly in front of Mickey lowering itself on its haunches. Mickey had seen hundreds of thousands of the little guys, he knew that it was about to jump and claw at him. His gloved hand moved to cross over his little chest as a great light manifested the shimmering kingdom key. He took the handle and he brought the sword down so that his arm was back at his side, the blade striking the little shadow on the head and knocking it back. Keep going your majesty. He knew that voice...He'd have finished the heartless off but before he knew it, two Dusks were running directly at him. Mickey's eyes narrowed and he braced himself ready for an attack from the nobodies. Instead, the Dusks attacked the heartless.
A bit bewildered by the bizarre sensation of having the Dusks on his side, Mickey ran past them through the path they created for him to engage in battle with the same boss the blonde man seemed preoccupied with. Just as the mouse king was noticing that a green requiem was still around curing the guard armor it was forced to the ground by the warrior. When a sketchbook was thrown at the guard armor, Mickey's attention was momentarily stolen as well. "Namine!" She was not a fighter! She was putting herself in a lot of danger now!
With someone he knew to protect, Mickey charged into action, rushing to get between the Guard Armor's attack range and the small nobody girl. "Stay back behind me!" he warned her over his shoulder as he skidded to a halt in front of her, his keyblade crossed in front of him in a defensive manner. "The Dusks're no match for that Heartless!" With that the Mouse king lifted his left hand into the air to gather a strong energy, a radiant light beginning to form in his hand. He would likely draw the attention of the heartless and suffer an onslaught of their attacks, but it would not give him pause...
Mickey is Charging Pearl ---Pearl: Similar to a fire spell, but much larger, and much much brighter. A manifestation of Mickey's own inner light hurled at the attacker. [Charge: 2 | Duration: 1 | Cool Down: 3]

| | The paladin listened to mordred speak and she nodded in understanding till a young woman in the white dress spoke up that she had sent aide. The au ra nodded once more and moved to get the group out of here. She'd collect the other guard on the way. The group didn't take long to clear the area. None of them had been prepared for a fight like this in the middle of a major city. It was very odd and unusual. No one was foolish enough to fight here. It wasn't long until a very irate moogle appeared with an annoyed kupo. It hovered out of the way as it noticed the damage to the hedges that were being caused. A bit of smoke appeared from the moogles head as it worked on floating out of the way. "Why does no one ever listen to me!" The moogle chimed as it folded it's little arms and floated out of harms way. It was rather frustrated with Mordred's blatant disregard for the maze. The green requiem noticed that Mordred had harmed the guard armor again, this time with it's own arm. The small floating heartless spun and healed the guard armor a small amount before it's fate was sealed. It had been focused on healing the guard armor that it wasn't looking for any one that was going to harm it. So, when Mordred drop kicked the small heartless, it faded away in a poof. That left the current count of green requiems down to zero. The one heartless that had dared to attack Mickey was hit by the keyblade, a bit dazed at first before the dusks appeared and finished him off. The other two heartless that had moved to crowd Mordred had sunk into the ground to avoid the swing of the other heartless's arm. With Mordred vaulting himself away from the two, one decided to move and converge on Namine and Mickey. The one was closer and the group seemed distracted by the large guard armor. So, one moved over to attack and jump out and Namine from behind while they focused on the larger heartless in front of them. The guard armor was not pleased. It it had been harmed a bit by Mordred's attack with it's own arm before the green requiem had healed it. The creature had started to moved to advance after Mordred, its' arms spinning before it felt the notebook hit it. It wasn't harmed, but Namine had been successful in gaining it's attention. It moved to stomp over toward's mickey. It charged itself up before jumping into the air in an attempt to smash Namine and Mickey into the ground in a move similar to a body slam. The moogle kupo'd again. "Oh!! This isn't good!!!"

Well, no more healing for the Guard Armor, that was the good news. The bad news was that the Shadows survived the attack and the Requiem healed the Guard Armor before it died. Even worse, while the mouse was, in fact, a Keyblader of great strength, a small girl in a white dress appeared. Even more, she was a Nobody. Was she also trying to become Complete, as Xemnas had so stubbornly asserted was the purpose of all Nobodies. Moreover, the mouse seemed to recognize this particular Nobody and addressed her as "Namine". Were they... friends? How ridiculous. It would seem that this mouse was a bit too soft-hearted for his own good, making friends with creatures that barely even had an existence to call their own. However, while Mordred considered it a weakness, it was not the type of weakness readily exploited, especially given the strength of Heart the keyblade wielding mouse was capable of. Mordred would have to continue observing him to judge how best to acquire his Heart. Regardless, Namine had some control over Dusks so perhaps she wouldn't be too much of a hindrance if she stayed out of the way. However, a Shadow Heartless had managed to flank her and was about to attack her from behind. Mordred ran for the duo, covering the admittedly small distance in little time, jumped and did a Flying kick at the mid-air Shadow Heartless. Hopefully, it would just be two Heartless left. They had the numbers advantage on their side. Of course Mordred and the mouse would have to distract the Guard Armor from attacking Namine, but that was surely an easy task, given that Namine's Dusks could also work as a distraction.
Which is, of course, why Namine chose to throw her sketchbook at it.
First, the moogle, now this idiot girl. I'm going to fade away at the rate I seem to attract the short-sighted. Mordred watched as the Guard Armor turned towards Namine and Mickey. This was not going to end well. Mordred's suspicions were confirmed as the Guard Armor jumped into the air, threatening to smash itself into the ground and the trio along with it. Mordred had to think fast before he would be more intimately acquainted with the ground, as he was too close to Namine and Mickey to be healthy. Mordred turned and opened a Corridor of Darkness, with another one opening up in a different part of the little fighting area they had found themselves in, safely out of harm's way. Mordred turned back to the duo and said in a flat, cold time, "If you enjoy your continued existence, I suggest hurrying." Mordred then went through, keeping the Corridor open for the other two as he emerged on the other side. Once they were through or had other methods of avoiding damage, Mordred closed the Corridors and waited for the Guard Armor to smash into the ground. He then heard the nagging moogle close by and decided to drown him out by destroying the Guard Armor. Once the Guard Armor had made its attack and tried to recover, Mordred would run in and perform a small combo of attacks on the giant Heartless, two hooks, an uppercut and a roundhouse kick to end things, before backing off and waiting until it attacked again. He was not afraid of the straggling Shadows as the others could easily handle them.
-----------------
(Mordred opens a Corridor of Darkness to avoid the Guard Armor's smash and help Namine and Mickey do the same. Mordred performs a physical combo on the Guard Armor after said Armor smashes into the ground.)
[Note: For combat only Medium objects (most conventional weapons, incapacitated people, etc.) = [CAN BE USED AGAIN]
Kinetic Bullet: Mordred shoots a bullet of Kinetic Energy at his opponent, dealing medium non-elemental damage that pierces armor. [Cooldown: 1 post]
Kinetic Blade: Mordred slices with his hand or leg to create a wave of kinetic energy that slices all opponents in front of him, dealing heavy non-elemental damage [Cooldown: 2 posts]
Corridors of Darkness: Much like his contemporaries, Mordred can utilize the Corridors of Darkness to travel from world to world. While Mordred has more elegant means of dodging attacks, he can use these Corridors to dodge attacks and even escape fights altogether. [Passive if used outside of fights. Cooldown: 3 posts if used in a fight to avoid attacks]
