Only her fellow comrades
Vani has a very keen sense of right and wrong. She is extremely devoted to her duty to saving the world and helping her friends. It is rare for her to show emotion and would sometimes seem a bit aloof and childish with some of her actions, usually under her breath. Pretending to care comes at a cost to her psyche when she is forced to fake an emotional response. Thankfully, her friends dont seem to mind. She can be depended upon to carry through, even at the expense of their own health. Vani normally keeps her feelings to herself unless directly asked and when asked, she does not mince words. This makes her come off extremely blunt.
She may even make assumptions about a person by their appearance and demeanor that can be wrong. Yet, even when wrong, it takes a while for her opinion to change. She is far more of an introvert unless she is drinking. She can be quite a lush. She can be very persuasive, almost subtly manipulative at times and makes you think that you made the decision when she is the one that led you to that choice. Her shyness and introversion making it hard for most people to notice it. She is even known to be slightly inappropriate when drinking. But normally shy.
Just a note, she does seem to appear very dishonest being a thief. But, she is probably the most honest person you will ever meet.
Vani woke in a field in the middle of nowhere holding a glowing crystal in her hands. The woman knew nothing other than the fact she felt safe with the other three in the field with her. It felt like she had known them all her life. It is possible that she had. She followed the Warrior, without question, to the nearby town to hear of a prophecy that had been foretold of four warriors of light that would save the world. It seemed unlikely that someone like her would be some hero that would save the world, but she did not question it. How could she? It's not like she had information to contradict the King.
She followed without question as they set out on their quest to save the Princess Sarah. A man named Garland was trying to conquer the kingdom by kidnapping the princess. The group set out and rescue the princess with minimal effort and return her. The king, in kind, rebuilds the bridge to the east to save the warriors the trouble of dampening their clothing to cross. They handle a few minor issues including an elven wizard and stealing a king's crown on their journey. The liberate a town from pirates and steal a ship. Steal powder for the dwarves, a few keys, and finally manage to continue their quest to uncloud the crystals.
The group destroy each of the Fiends one by one, beginning to restore balance. Fulfilling the prophecy. Or, so they thought. Upon returning to the kingdom, they learn that some unknown force is stealing the power from the restored crystals from another time completely. The heroes then travel to the past where they have to defeat the fiends again before learning that Garland was behind it all and was absorbing the power to become chaos. They defeat him all the same and return back to their time where they back to the world they saved.

*quietly under breath* "I swear, if I hear bless the crystals one more time..."
"This is getting rather complicated. We have to steal the key to get the powder to get down the river? Or do we need the crown first?" *confusion over helping the dwarves build the canal*
"Red, you're stretching the truth a bit again..." *when Red Mage of Light tells a story*
Vani was slightly relieved that things had settled after their rather large adventure. It's all she had to know and think about. But, it did not mean that she didn't wonder about her past. Who was she before she appeared in the middle of some field with a glowing crystal in her hand? Did she had a family that was looking for her? Or were they happy she was gone maybe? Was she even from this time? All she knew was her name and that she had woke with friends. Red Mage, or Rojo, was probably her closest friend of the group. Yes, she did enjoy the other's company. But, the two of them just seemed to get along better than most. Warrior always seemed to be worrying about everything and anything. So, it was nice to be able to avoid the stress of everything with a drink or two with Red.
So, this night was not any different. She drank for a bit, knowing she had to have done this in her past at some point due to her higher alcohol tolerance. That, or it was just the fact that she'd drank a good bit on their journey and had built it up quickly that way. Either way, she had been drinking a bit, amused by Red standing with a group of women telling them of his great adventures and all the wild and dangerous things that he had done while out and about around the world. While the basic premise was not a lie, the man was more than stretching the truth. There was just a point where he got far too ridiculous for his own good and she had to step up and make everything right.
That's exactly what she did. She would have never done this sober. But, she had been drinking and she couldn't let the poor women fall for his lies. This particular story was about the time he used his superior wit to rid a town of pirates early in their adventure. The thief shook her head a bit as she walked up behind the mage, placing a hand on his shoulder as she did. "I couldn't help but notice a few key problems with the story. You seem to be missing the parts where you had three others doing all the work while you sat back with your magic... and you certainly did not use your 'superior intelligence' to outsmart anyone. That was all Warrior. If I recall correctly though, you were the one freaking out that we were all going to die." She added with a smile. It was always so much fun to ruin his fun. Though, she knew Red would not be very happy with her. Not in the slightest. She'd certainly regret it in the morning. Especially when he confronted her with her hangover.
Tseng, Edgar, Cassialyn, and Evil Queen.... I hate myself
