Red Wizard of Light
Unknown, possibly the other Warriors of Light
Rojo has a very particular set of style. He is a red mage, and he wants the world to know it. He has a very large ego, and is willing to take credit for anything and everything, even if it sometimes gets him in trouble. He has a very high intelligence, but lacks the wisdom to use it correctly. He is a social butterfly, and is always willing to tell a story of his exploits, if it gets a barmaid to his room that evening. He is very flattering, and will tell someone what they want to hear, even if it makes things that much worse.
There are many mysteries surrounding the creation of the Warriors of Light, but that fateful day the four of them awoke in the fields near Cornelia, each holding a crystal. The four of them make their way to the nearby castle town, and discover the king has been searching far and wide for four warriors from a prophecy, each holding a crystal. After speaking with the king, the four, including Rojo, learn that the princess has been kidnapped by a rogue knight named Garland. They travel to a nearby shrine and defeat him, earning the praise of the king and a tip to head where the earth is dying.
The group eventually makes their way to a small town named Melmond, via a ship they stole from a band of pirates. The group defeats a vampire that had supposedly been rotting the land, but it seemed more needed to be done. They continue their journey to discover the Lich near the Earth Crystal. After defeating him, the crystal regains its light and speaks to the Warriors of Light. It tells them to restore the other three crystals.
They then head for Crescent Lake, where a circle of sages advises that they head to Mt. Gulg, where Marilith lies in wait. They journey down river and fight the fiery fiend in the center of the mountain to restore the Fire Crystal. They then recover an ancient airship and take to the skies.
It doesn't take long before they run into an island inhabited by an ancient dragon, Bahamut. The dragon gives them a trial to prove their worth and sends them into a perilous dungeon to recover a rat tail. Upon completion, he gifts each of the Warriors with the strength needed to finish their journey to restore the four crystals.
The group then arrives at the town of Onrac. There, a little girl guides them to a large barrel that that Rojo and the others take to an undersea temple. There, they encounter the Kraken, whom is endangering the mermaids. Upon defeating him, they restore light to the Water Crystal.
In the city of Lufenia, the people there tell the Warriors of Light that they used to rule the skies where the Wind Crystal resides. The warriors are led to the Mirage Tower, which they climb to reach the Flying Fortress. At the top of the tower they are met by robots who have been waiting for a challenger for Tiamat. They lead the warriors to a transporter, which takes them into the Flying Fortress. After finally taking down the multi-headed dragon, the group restores light to the final crystal, the Wind Crystal.
Thinking that they would be done, Rojo was astonished to hear the crystal tell them to vanquish the darkness from the land. The Warriors of Light decide to head back to Crescent Lake to speak with the circle of sages. The sages send them to the Chaos Shrine, where Garland had held Princess Sarah captive in the very beginning.
They are transported 2000 years into the past, where they encounter each of the Four Fiends in their prime. After defeating each one, Garland steps out and claims to be the mastermind behind everything. He absorbs the Four Fiends and becomes Chaos. It is a long, hard fought battle, but eventually the Warriors of Light come out on top and destroy Chaos, saving their world from the darkness he wrought.
"Well, madam, have I ever told you the story of how I took on the great Kraken single-handedly?"
"Your beauty stretches as far and wide as my own reputation!"
What a day it was! The inn was stuffed full of people who'd spent the evening alongside Rojo, as he recalled the wildest tales of his journeys. Mostly, people had been in and out, but there was always someone gullible enough to believe the Rojo had taken down the Lich with a single slash of his Lightbringer. His attempts with the barmaids had been mostly unsuccessful, except for the ones whose beauty didn't match Rojo's standards.
The truth was, however, that he was bored. The adoring fans was nice, but it was nothing compared to actually living his stories out. It had now been over three years since they'd fought Chaos, 2000 years in the past, and the days hadn't quite been as exciting since then. Most of the world didn't even know what happened. Yes, there were plenty of cities where people did recognize them, but that was mostly from the smaller deeds they had done to save them. For example,Rojo had found himself in a city that only knew him from ridding them of a pirate problem towards the beginning of their story
Rojo never minded, and usually enjoyed, telling the tales of his various exploits, but it was time for him to do something for himself. It was time for Rojo and 'get the band back together.' Mostly, they had all split up after the fight with Chaos. He was pretty sure he had no idea where the rest had gone, but he knew the airship would help him get around to check the cities. That alone would have to be enough adventure for now.
As Rojo went back to his room for the evening, the strangest thing happened. He closed the door and a warm glow overtook his chest. After removing the crystal that was always hanging around his neck, he instantly noticed that he was no longer in the inn. The glow of the crystal had transported him somewhere, the middle of a desert, actually, and he was stearing right into the eyes of a giant lion's head made of sand.
It seems his adventure was just getting started.
