The mystery of the Old Mansion was ever prevalent among the youth of Twilight Town. Who owned it, what was it's purpose? One way or another, even when it wasn't the direct mystery, it was at the centre of other mysteries. In this case, a new mystery had begun to spread around town like wildfire. Two brothers, Oliver and Omar, were dared to go to the Old Mansion. When they got to the courtyard, they looked up to the window and saw a young girl in a black dress. Her expression was sad, her eyes distant; though it was hard to get a good look at her face from their angle. It was enough to spook the brothers and send them back to town.
This all happened on the Day of Arrival or Day Zero, for Lumina and Yuel. The two denizens of Nova had set off on an adventure to find a power that could defeat the new threat to their world; the heartless. Lumina recalled being melancholy upon arrival in Twilight Town. They appeared near the Old Mansion and upon finding it abandoned, decided to take up residence there until they'd learned what they could. Now, wandering the square in a brand new outfit consisting of a petticoat that was a light blue, almost white in tone whilst the inner layer was red. This was paired with a white dress that stopped just shy of her knees, accentuated with an intricate design for the hemming. Nothing like the feeling of new clothes, which in turn made Lumina feel more excited about this adventure with the energy levels to suit. Why, she even changed the way she styled her hair, sporting a high ponytail and differing hair accessory to tie it. She felt her new hair tie gave her a more regal look, akin to a tiara. The white knee high boots felt more comfortable for all the traversing she'd need to do too.
Overhearing this new mystery, puzzled Lumina at first. Afterwards, Lumina began seeking out more information on other mysteries in town. To her surprise there was some about the Old Mansion, which meant she'd need to explore that place more thoroughly than before. It's not like she was in the mood to investigate it too seriously. The girls had a serious mission to do and the longer their journey, the higher the likelihood of a certain 'saviour', sticking her nose into it. "I bet you've encountered them already sis. Which means you'll spring into action like you always do." Lumina mused, though she hoped that Lightning could enjoy some peace in the meanwhile.
When she returned to the Old Mansion to report in to Yuel, she had a mischievous smirk. Lumina wanted to thoroughly investigate the mystery of the Old Mansion but this new mystery, would bring others to the scene. Unless the two took precautions and so, when classes were let out, more people went to pursue the new mystery. They'd see that girl in the black dress, shyly peering out the window. Her eyes concealed by the curtains, if one took their eyes off her, she disappeared. Getting inside proved challenging, with the door being locked and traps meant to scare if some managed to force their way inside. That should be enough to fan the flames of the mystery. With some choosing to talk about it over seasalt ice cream, others brought the word home giving the Mystery of the Girl in the Black Dress life.
