✉ notes: oh boy There's a wall that's towering over me if i try to climb it will i succeed? The stars were quite lovely tonight. He'd found himself staring at them more and more. Somewhere, on one of those stars, was where he'd saved Christmas. Alexander Sorel helped save Christmas. Really, that would have felt amazing if it wasn't for the fact that Santa turned out to be a massive con man. The fat bastard still owed him munny, considering that's what he'd promised to get them out there to begin with. He risked his life against the Heartless - the Heartless! The Heartless killed him! He was legitimately scarred for life! - and what did Nick give him? A snowball that never melted, what a joke.
Deep breath, Alex, deep breath.
Come to think of it, how in the world had he come back from that anyway? He knew it wasn't a wild dream, others could corroborate Heartless flowing out of the castle and eating peoples' faces over ten years ago. He just remembered waking up in his home, as if the Heartless had never attacked him. That was just so odd, and he couldn't explain any of it. Which, considering he was someone who tended to mess with machines and other contraptions, "it just works" was not an answer he was very satisfied with. He was a tinkerer, not a con man, even if he did have the good looks and the smooth voice to spew lies with.
Buy his stuff.
The cold didn't seem to bother him tonight, so he just continued to stand at the top of some stairs, staring at the cold winter sky. Someday, someday he would find a way off this world, and he would go give Santa Claus whatfor. Adrift in the endless sea of darkness, Rayne floated on without a care. Sometimes she sought destinations out herself, and other times she would do as she was not; float, and let the current of darkness between the worlds steer her direction. It was soothing, and at times it even brought her a semblance of peace. At least until the ride was over.
Rayne plummeted down from the sky above Radiant Garden, thrust from the shadows as she unknowingly reached the destination that the shadows intended for her. She fell down, down, and further down through the chilly night air. It felt like she had been falling for a much longer time than--
Crash
With a heavy thud of steel into stone, Rayne's back smashed into the ground as she had fallen belly-up. Blood ran from her body and the stone broke beneath her from the force of her fall. Her eyes stared blankly into the sky as that delightful pain rushed throughout her body. But those golden eyes, they focused on the beautiful stars. They were oddly striking tonight. A subtle smile formed on Rayne's lips as the blood began to pull back into her, and her body snapped bones back together. Her regenerative powers were unimaginably strong.
As soon as she was fit to do so, Rayne pulled herself up into a sitting position, noticing at last that she had apparently landed in front of someone. A man with blond hair and striking eyes, wearing rather dapper attire. Rayne's subtle smile shifted quickly into a full blown grin. "Why hello there," Rayne called excitedly.

✉ notes: i'm noticing a trend here There's a wall that's towering over me if i try to climb it will i succeed? Oh, a shooting star. Make a wish, Alex--That doesn't really seem like a shooting star. That... was that a person? Where the hell did she come from? He didn't see any aircraft, no Gummi Ship to carry her around. Maybe a sky diver or something, there were always people who were a bit of a thrill seeker, and Alex wasn't really sure he was one of them. In fact, he would rather avoid sky diving if it was entirely up to him. Did she seem to be coming closer? She did, and she seemed to be heading right for him, or near him, or something. Maybe he should--
And then he was soaked in blood.
Alex blinked for a moment. It took a moment to register what exactly happened. She'd come crashing, down, pretty much shattered herself on the pavement, and ruined his clothes. The reaction got caught in his throat, what the hell was he supposed to do with that one? Get some guards? Really, he was probably going to remember this sight forever! Or at least he would if it--Well, no he probably still would but the sheer horror of it seemed to be offset by the fact that the blood was being drained from his clothes and the pavement, and going back into the woman? Within a moment, she seemed back on her feet, none the worse for wear.
At least he didn't have to repair this one.
When she excitedly called at him, all he could really do was give a bit of a stoic wave, his expression not changing in the slightest. Radiant Garden was going to the dogs. First the committee, then people crashing into buildings, now people skydiving and splattering themselves on the pavement, when would it end?! "Uh... hey." Really, where the hell did you go when that was your first impression?! "What's uh... what's your name?" Alex remarked, thankful for his now bloodless clothing.
At least his mind was off Santa now.
