Black Waltz No.1 shuffled from place to place in the Alexandrian streets, selling off his latest haul of goods from his most lucrative trip into the wilds... which was to say, very little. The Mage was finding it harder and harder to make enough each pass to find a bed each night and with tensions between the kingdom and Alexandria heating up, more and more "weary travelers" were making the pilgrimage here as a precautionary measure. One should not be surprised he knew this... After all, knowledge was power and power was absolute. He listened in on conversations, asked just the right questions in the right way to obtain what he desired... but then, one should always be careful what they wish for.
The taverns, the hotels... HECK, even the crumby Inns were filling up with more and more people by the day... No matter how much the Waltz felt he needed to fork over, he was always turned down due to them having reached max capacity... What utter shlock. With how many people have turned him away, the mage was feeling as if those people weren't honest, that their reason for shutting him out were not as innocent as a simple lack of space...
...There was something more too it... and it was obvious... Now, what could it be...?
The Mage lurched out of yet another full tavern, his nerves starting to grate as his talons gently raked across the smooth surface of his special golden bell... How dare they... How dare they turn HIM down, Black Waltz No.1 of Alexandria!? How DARE they stare at him blankly when he announces himself!? How dare they!?
"BAH!" He growled, swinging his free arm wide in frustration... nearly smacking a poor bystander across his face! "They shall pay for this... I will not stand for this level of mistreatment!"
The mage's voice was raspy, harsh, as if he had to force air out of his lungs manually... Cursed body. Cursed people... Curseitcurseitcurseit!

Rina walked aimlessly down the street. Her body seemed to be on auto pilot, side stepping fellow pedestrians and alley kiosks. Her eyes were fixated ahead, occasionally glancing around at her surroundings. Even though she seemed normal on the outside, on the inside her brain was running at a mile a minute. Her thoughts were bouncing around her mind and she seemed to have no control over them.
Black Waltz 3 has been… gone… for a month. Maybe two. Rina had seriously lost track of time. The loss that she felt in her soul was too powerful and it had made her life debilitating in the fact that she saw Black Waltz 3 in everything around her. Even now as she walked down the street of Alexandria she thought she could see him lingering down the way, yelling at passerby. The thought almost made her smile, but as she grew closer, she realized it wasn’t just an illusion created be her mind…
W-Waltz?!
Rina closed the distance between her and the winged man, grabbing onto his shoulder and pulling him roughly to face her.
“W-Waltz?! Is that you?!”

Black Waltz No.1 was about to head into yet another tavern, bracing himself for the stench of stale alcohol and poorly made food... until a hand grabbed him on the shoulder and whirled him around SO fast, his had nearly flew off! The mage stared wide-eyed and silent as this crazy, strange woman practically screamed in his face if he was this "Waltz" figure, his silver eyes gradually narrowing into a spiteful gaze. He glanced at the hands upon his overly wide and broad shoulders, his body as cold as the ice he commands. In fact, the way she held him, she nearly forced the Waltz fully upright, his curved spine unable to support such motions without suffering notable pain! "Get your hands off me, woman..." He growled, his voice cold, ragged, nothing like the creature she seemed to have mistaken him for. His long arms reached up, grabbing Rina's wrists, his long, clawed finger wrapping around her arms and almost freezing them to the touch! He glared at her darkly as he wrenched her hands away, his bell softly chiming as if to emphasize his outrage! Who did this girl think she was, talking to him.... TOUCHING him in such a manner!? What made her think she had the right to treat him with such disrespect?? The Mage was not in the mood to play nice with anyone after how he had been treated this day, actually resisting a killing urge to turn this surrounding area into a perfect replica of the Ice Cave...
Without another word, the mage would turn his back on Rina, ruffling his feathers and shedding the frost that had coagulated upon them before limping back out into the crowd... He didn't even care about where he'd sleep tonight... Just so long as he was far and away from that maniac... For her sake... and his own.

When the ice cold voice that was definitely not Black Waltz 3’s pierced her ears, Rina quickly unhanded the man before her. Realizing her mistake and feeling danger alarms go off in her mind she took a few steps back away from the...man? No, not a man. And he wasn’t Waltz. At least he wasn’t the Waltz that she was familiar with. She searched her mind trying to find a memory where her Waltz may have mentioned others like him, but only grasped at memories that were too painful to think about. Rina held up her hands in the universal gesture of backing off. “I’m...I’m sorry. I thought you were someone else…” She began to back away and with a cold glance the stranger turned and began to storm away from her. But the feeling deep in her gut was way too strong and she couldn’t let him leave without solving the mystery that was roiling within the young woman. “W-wait! Who are you?!” She reached her arm out, her fingers just grazing a feathered wing before she thought better of it and snapped her arm down and to her side. “Just tell me who you are! Please!?” The cracking in her voice made her cringe with shame but she kept her eyes forward. Please…
