Kairi, frustratingly, found herself alone again. She had gotten separated from Roxas at some point in time and found that her heart had called her to this place, like a string pulling her along. The sensation was still there but unlike before, it was no longer as strong.
"Naminé?" she murmured to herself, wondering whether it was the work of her other half. She found herself at the train station. Although Kairi had been born in a city, her essence was that of a country girl. She was accustomed to living in a small community, helping out with the rough things. Even though it was mostly out of obligation, that was what she liked about Destiny Islands — the memories created on the sandy shores and on the little island a boat's ride away.
According to her three friends who lived here, Twilight Town was also a fairly small community, small enough for word to travel fast should anything happen and for them to recognise almost everyone's faces. Nobody would recognise her face so they'd definitely know that she's a visitor here.
Her footsteps plodded against the ground as she made her way outside, finding herself come face to face with the sun that never quite seemed to rise or set, according to Olette. That was why it was called Twilight Town, permanently bathed in an orange glow. It reminded her of sunsets at Destiny Islands and in a way, she felt connected to this place because of that minute but impactful detail. She could feel the breeze beating gently against her skin.
Firstly, since she was in Twilight Town, she'd better get herself some sea salt ice cream. It was all the rave here, according to Hayner, and it was unfortunate she did not try it the last time before Axel had taken her away to that creepy world filled with apathetic individuals.
Kairi shuddered at the memory. That was not something she would like to live through again. TAGGED // Open NOTES // Whoever would like to join, go ahead.

[attr="class","ohlove"] [attr="class","lacking"] [attr="class","eyes"]✎ tag: Kairi ✉ notes: ohey what is my true calling in this universe? climbing past these walls is my fate and curse. What was he doing here again? Oh right, sick day. Managed to build up enough of those, had to take some time off he'd been told. So off he went, hitching a ride from Radiant Garden. He'd always wanted to visit one of those peaceful vacation worlds he'd heard so much, so off he went. When he arrived it was only a matter of coming here by train, he never got to ride a train before, so it was a pretty neat experience. Plus he'd heard the ice cream was to die for, courtesy of a strange duck wearing very expensive clothing. Sometimes he wondered where those people came from. Though, people? Animals maybe? That sounded so wrong but... technically they were?
So he stepped off the train and out of the station, thermos in hand. Yeah, he wasn't going anywhere without the old equalizer. He'd had enough that he felt comfortable anyway, something to take the edge of a new experience off. There he saw someone - hard to miss her with that crimson hair - who seemed a little lost. Well, in fairness, he was too. "You alright?" He approached from behind. "You seem a little lost." Maybe it was her first time here? Well, he was still pretty new himself, so at least having someone around might be a bit reassuring.
Right, still, it'd be rude, and probably a bit freaky to just go on being that guy at the train station, so he paused for a moment, holding out a hand to shake. "Alexander Sorel, and you are...?" At least get to know people! "I'm alright. Just figuring out how to find my friends," Kairi informed him as the familiar faces of Hayner, Pence and Olette popped into her mind. There was also the familiar person named Seifer, the one who seemed rather flustered each time she was around, and his two friends. As far as connecting between worlds was concerned, Kairi had no means to do so. How Sora and Riku managed to find their way to each other was something could never quite fathom but at the same time, she knew that their hearts were connected.
The fact that she was the only one who had still remembered that there was another boy, apart from Riku, that had been there with her when everyone just remembered her and Riku.
"I'm Kairi. Nice to meet you, Alexander," she introduced herself with a single wave, but accepted his handshake nevertheless. Handshakes were far too formal, kind of like Riku's thing, but she knew that he was not a stickler for formalities himself. The three of them were a unit in their own subtle ways, even if their personalities were starkly different. TAGGED // Alexander Sorel NOTES // There you go.

[attr="class","ohlove"] [attr="class","lacking"] [attr="class","eyes"]✎ tag: Kairi ✉ notes: rude friends There's a wall that's towering over me if i try to climb it will i succeed? Really, it was a pleasure. Once the edge was off he was actually a lot more sociable, better to deal with things. Huh, her hands were soft. Anyway, introductions were out of the way then. He wasn't sure where to go from there, so he just let her explain what was going on. Listening as best he could and trying to make sense of well, it wasn't really a situation now was it? In all honesty he was probably taking this far more seriously than he really needed to.
She was having trouble finding her friends? "They didn't agree to meet you at the station?" That was a bit rude of them. She was completely unfamiliar and they were just letting her figure it out for herself? He crossed his arms, tilting his head to the side, well, that would make things a bit more difficult for her, which also meant that she would probably be wandering around. Alone. In a place that was completely unfamiliar to her. Definitely not something you really wanted to leave a young lady doing. Would've been a lot easier if he knew about the whole keyblade thing really.
"Probably wouldn't hurt to start by asking around. Do you know any places they frequent?" While he was never really a detective, he couldn't help but admit, privately anyway, that the idea was something entertaining, and it gave him something to do. But he didn't have the right outfit. He'd have to get one. Oh, would this require changing the account? Nah, he probably couldn't do the hard boiled style with this lass, could he? Decisions... "They didn't know I was coming. We don't really have any means of contact at the moment," Kairi explained, sensing the heightened agitation radiating from the male before her. It was hard to explain so many things, considering that it was explained to her that if too many people knew about the existence of other worlds, it would upset the balance.
She observed the way he folded his arms, evidently cross with something that he wasn't aware about. In this case, a situation, but who was she to say about others when she herself was the one who couldn't alleviate or disprove otherwise?
Kairi proceeded with her inquiry, directed towards him.
"I do know they frequent a particular space. A back alley, but I can't exactly remember where," she explained. "Do you know Hayner, Pence and Olette?" TAGGED // Alexander Sorel NOTES // There you go. Sorry this came real late.
