The Queen, The Evil Queen, Wicked Queen, The Witch, Her Majesty, Peddler Woman
Queen of Dwarf Woodlands
Step-Daughter - Snow White
The Queen is a very vain human being. She feels that she must be the most beautiful woman and Snow White is keeping her from her happiness. This leads to the Queen's jealousy that tears at her very soul. The Queen is anything but kind and is feared even by the dwarves who live deep in the forest. She does not have any patience for failure or people who disobey her. This usually results in death, or the the Queen forcing her will on them.
The Queen is very sly and calculating. She manages to come up with a plan to destroy Snow White after the Huntsman/Terra failed for kill Snow White. She also has the patience and ambition to work for what she wants. The Queen is also extremely intelligent. After she changes into the hag, she became slightly insane and manic. Yet, her jealousy will always be her greatest flaw.
After marrying Snow White's father, he dies leaving Snow White in the Queen's care. Jealous of the girl's beauty, the Queen forces Snow to work as a servant and dress in rags. However, Snow White is still beautiful and out of fear, the Queen asks her Magic Mirror constantly who is the fairest. The Mirror's answer always being the Queen. This goes on for years until one day, the Mirror states that Snow has surpassed her stepmother's beauty and is the most beautiful. Around the same time, Snow catches the eye of a Prince. Jealous of their affections, the Queen plots Snow's destruction.
In order to kill Snow, The Queen enlists her faithful servant, the Huntsman, to kill Snow. She plots that the Huntsman should take Snow White into the woods to collect flowers, and then kill her. As proof of this, the Huntsman is to return with the girl's heart in a jeweled box. The penalty for not killing the Princess would be death to the Huntsman. When the Huntsman returns, he offers her a heart. However, it is not the heart of Snow White, but the heart of a pig. The queen is thrilled of his success until she learns from her Magic Mirror that Snow White is still alive and living with dwarves in the woods. The heart in the box was the heart of a pig. The Queen then decides to handle the girl herself.
The dwarves that are with Snow White are informed that the Queen is going to kill her. The dwarves are reluctant to take the girl into their home because they fear the Queen's power.
After the Queen finds out that Snow is alive, she disappears to a secret room in the Castle. She looks through a magic book and decides she is going to disguise herself as an old peddling hag and kill Snow that way. She mixes a potion from the ingredients listed in the book and drinks it, turning in the witch. After deciding her disguise is good enough, she picks Snow's fate. A Poisoned Apple that will put Snow White into a deep sleep that makes her appear dead. Though, the Queen is not pleased to see that the poison can be reversed by Love's First Kiss. However, she tells herself that the chances of that are slim because the dwarves will bury her before anything happens.
She places the poisoned apple in the basket and disappears into the woods to kill Snow White. Unbeknownst to her, she is quickly followed by two vultures that foreshadow her death. When she arrives at the dwarves cabin, she is thrilled to find Snow White alone. The peddler hag offers Snow White the apple, but Snow's animal friends sense the danger in the apple and attack her. Snow shoo's the animals and invites the woman into the house and offers her water. The animals flee to the mines to warn the dwarves.
Becoming desperate to get Snow to eat the apple, she lies by stating that the apple can grant any wish. She continues by saying that Snow could wish for love and be reunited with her Prince. Snow takes a bite, collapsing to the floor moments later. The Queen laughs, thrilled she has finally won, and steps out of the cabin as a storm begins to roll in. At this time the dwarves appear, being rushed to the cabin by the animals. Fearing being killed by the dwarves in her current form, the Queen flees and is chased up the side of a mountain until she is cornered. Not having any way to escape, she attempts to roll a bolder down to kill the dwarves. However, lightning strikes the cliff she is standing on and she falls to her death.
In Dwarf Woodlands, during Terra's story, The Queen had just learned that Snow White is the most beautiful from her Magic Mirror. Terra steps out of the shadows, revealing that he was listening to her dilemma and asks the Queen if she knows Master Xehanort. The queen truthfully admits she does not know the Master. However, she makes a deal that if Terra kills Snow White, he may ask the Magic Mirror Xehanort's location. When Terra arrives back after not killing Snow, the Queen is furious. Terra states that there is a cloud of jealousy that hangs on the Queen's heart. This infuriates her and so she forces the magic Mirror to suck Terra into his realm and kill him. However, the mirror fails to kill him and she is forced to ask Xehanort's location. She is thanked by Terra as he leaves. The queen plots another way to kill Snow.
In Ventus's story, she has changed into an old hag and drops her poisoned apple on the ground. Ventus returns it to her. However, when the queen notices the keyblade, she lies saying that Terra had attacked her earlier and interrogated her on Xehanort's loaction. This troubles Ventus and she continues one her way to the cabin.
Between Aqua and Ventus's stories, the Queen convinces Snow to eat the apple. Aqua later learns that the dwarves chased off the queen and when she talks to the magic mirror, she learns that the queen is dead.
"Spirit of the Mirror—come from the farthest space. Through wind and darkness I summon thee...Speak! Show me thy face."
"That name is of no consequence to me."
"There is a young maid who resides in this castle. Her name is Snow White. Kill her. And to make sure you do not fail, bring back her heart...in this."
"That is no concern of yours. Now, heed my words. My radiance is all the light this kingdom needs."
"You dare defy your Queen?"
"Magic Mirror, instruct this knave! Give him the answers he doth crave."
"Oh, why thank you, my pet. To tell the truth, I really don't know what I would have done without that. Haven't I seen that sword before?"
"Oh, yes, yes...That ruffian pointed one of those at me, asking about some "Xehanort"—My poor heart nearly stopped."
The Queen stepped in the doorway of the Magic Mirror Chamber, her deep purple cape following. A faint smile appeared on her face the moment the mirror came into her sight. "Good. They have left my mirror intact." She stated in a low tone as she continued into the room, her shoes making some noise on the stone floors until she reaches the carpet where they quickly became muffled. It had been a while since she had last stepped foot into her chamber with the lone mirror on the wall. Her dark eyes surveyed the room before landing on a thick leather bound book. The Queen approached it, a frown appearing on her beautiful face at the sight of the amount of dust that coated the book. As she picked up the book, proceeding to dust it off, a familiar voice echoed in the room.
"My Queen. Long has it been since last your lovely face I had seen." The Queen's grin reappeared as her eyes moved to look over the beauty of her mirror. The book quickly forgotten, she advanced toward the mirror. "Yes, it truly has been a long time." The queen pondered a bit. "I wonder what has become of my fair step-daughter." The mirror responded at a statement, very cryptic in his speech, hinting at Snow White's location. "Hmmm." The queen began, "Another world? It may be trickier than I originally thought to destroy her. Especially if she has found allies." The mirror began to rhyme, speaking in a way that only someone as intelligent and clever as the Queen could interpret quickly. "Ah. I would not have thought of that. But, which spell would suit the plan as nicely as your mirror's frame graces you, my dear Magic Mirror."
The mirror calmly responded, "My Queen flatters me and so I shall tell; I may yet have the perfect spell... turn your pages and turn your ear... The spell you need is written here...." The queen brushed the dust off her spell book as she listened intently to the mirror. A cruel smile appearing on her face with a laugh. "Perfect. A truly perfect plan, but with one difficulty..." The mirror and the Queen conversed for a while, ideas and thoughts traded in the confines of the palace chamber. After the problems were cleared up, the Queen quickly chuckled. "Good. Now that the plan has been decided, we wait for the perfect moment to move in. We must have patience. I will have my rightful place as the fairest in the land, if it is the last thing I do." The Mirror's face disappeared, leaving only a clear surface in it's place.
