Tournament Reviews This template is to be used for all Tournament reviews. It is the same form that staff uses. Please copy and paste the code from the bottom into the appropriate match review thread that has been created by the staff. Please do not create your own thread. You cannot review a thread that your character participated in. For every knowledgeable and well written review, you will gain 20 munny to the character account you post the review with. You may only post one review per thread. Please be sure that your review is detailed and informed. Site Rules still apply to raid reviews, so be polite and respectful. Everything a member posts is to be read as constructive criticism and is not to be taken as an attack. Any issues should be reported directly to a staff member. Damage Inflicted and Taken: What powers were used and what damage taken should be reviewed here, as well as the effects of any powers used. Basically, which side dealt more and which side took more damage. Key Points:- Overall damage inflicted
- Strategic use of items
- Overall combative dominance
Questions to Ask Yourself:How much damage would that skill have inflicted on the target? Would a skill be super effective against the character, such as using a potion against someone inflicted with zombie. Who caused the most damage? Which side would have probably won the fight. Skill and Style: This isn't for it being well written, but the creative style and effect of their strategy and if it also had a imaginative visual. Key Points:- In-Character Combat Style
- Skills used wisely
- Use of weaknesses and strength
Questions to Ask Yourself: Did the member stick to their character's fighting style? Did they set them up in a way that would have been hard to defend against? Did that character use their unique/individual fighting style, or 'X-factor' to their best advantage? Did they use their known written powers in such a way that they normally wouldn't use them? Did someone feel out-of-character? Who controlled the battle? Who was more dominant with how the flow of battle went against the other? Did a character seem to be reacting to attacks more than being the one to inflict them? Did one player keep the other on their toes more than the other? Did one character seemed more defensive, calm and collected than the other? Did one person execute an ingenious strategy to win? Did one character identify the other's weaknesses or use their opponent's strength against them? Did a character start at a loss, only to turn it around and gain the flow and control of the battle in their favor? Did a character seem to just use attacks and throw them at the opponent, or used them in a way that was hard for the opponent to fight/defend/counter against? Descriptive Writing and Sportsmanship: How well did the member write and describe their actions and surroundings. This also includes if a character did not explain themselves or were not justified in their movements or dodging. Key Points:- Stayed In-Character
- Easy to Understand
- Overall fairness
Questions to ask yourself: Did they justify certain movements and their character's fight style? Whether their post was short or long, where they able to explain their actions to the reader and get their point across? Did you question any actions or abilities a character did make? How well did you understand their writing? Did they dodge an attack that should have otherwise harmed them? Did they ignore or shrugged off attacks or write that the attacks had no effect on them? Did they seem to know something about their opponent that otherwise their character wouldn't know? Did a character do something you felt was not fair or use a power not listed/misuse a power listed on their application? Who had the best sportsmanship, and was fair to the other team in taking damage? Did someone take a hit that they probably could have dodged? Did a team take hits that they knew they couldn't dodge realistically? Damage Inflicted and Taken: Sooo, one thing about this thread is that not a lot...happened. There were a few posts of people trying things, but failing, attacks missing or being redirected, and general japery without a lot of actual damage. Namine and Prompto put out nearly all of the actual damage thanks to all of the portal shenanigans and Prompto's guns, though I feel like Locke could have allowed his Firaga to...er, fire. Importantly, Namine and Prompto weren't dodging everything, or ignoring attacks, it just felt like a lot of attacks were being negated. [******Namine/Prompto******] Skill and Style: Edgar and Locke were, as always, on-point with their characters. Locke was constantly trying to get in his opponents' faces to take their HP or their GP, Edgar was busting out tools like Bob the Builder, and neither of them had a clue about all this magic business everyone was throwing around. Namine and Prompto too were very true to form, with Namine providing support more this round than previously, and Prompto laying down the law with hot lead. This one is really close, but I feel like a deciding factor here is that Namine seemed to not really be sure what to do with herself. [******Edgar/Locke******] Descriptive Writing and Sportsmanship: This one was tough. While the portal shenanigans felt a little extra the first read through, when I went back over it, it wasn't really all that bad beyond Edgar and Locke allowing it to hit far harder than it might have normally been able to. Likewise the followup Gravity effect wasn't in and of itself unfair, though it being so close on the heels of the portals in a thread as slow to move as this one was perhaps ill-advised. Locke and Edgar were clearly very frustrated with things as they stood, and it wasn't likely to improve much once Namine decided to get serious and channel her Other. Prompto was as energetic as ever as well and justified everything that he was doing in the narrative. It felt like all four characters were going to really give things their all in the next round or two, we just didn't get to see it. I mentioned in the previous category that Namine didn't seem to be sure what to do with herself. In the previous section it was a deciding factor against the pair, but I fully feel that that's in-character for who and where Namine is right now, so in this category I'm using it as the factor that tilts it in their favor. [******Namine/Prompto******] Match Winner: *****Namine and Prompto******

Damage Inflicted and Taken: In truth, I think Edgar & Locke could have been a lot more aggressive. They're accomplished warriors who fought an angry clown god that rekt their world, so in terms of sheer skill, they really had Namine & Prompto outclassed. I do think that there was a lot of caution and playing defensively.
That being said, I do think Locke's Firaga could have gone through, as Locke's agile enough to fire off both Steal and Firaga in two swift motions. I don't really believe the idea that the Gravisphere could suck in a Firaga like that, but that might be just me.
Still, from a purely objective standpoint, Namine & Prompto did more damage and took less damage. [******NAMINE/PROMPTO******] Skill and Style: If we're talking about how the characters acted, I think they were mostly on point. Yeah, Prompto would totally stop a fight he knows isn't lethal to get a photo, that is absolutely him. I also enjoyed how Locke & Edgar were both effectively blindsided by Prompto's technology. The world of FF6 has zero guns, so it makes sense to me that even Edgar would be a bit "u w0t m8" about what he's looking at. I also enjoyed how Namine was a bit unsure of how to operate and really how to actually fight. Unless I missed something on this site, Namine's not really a fighter, so it makes sense she wouldn't be so decisive on this.
One thing I noticed for sure is that Namine & Prompto had each other's backs. They tried to cover each other, which I didn't really see that much with Edgar and Locke. I think Edgar & Locke understood that the other was a big boy who could handle themselves, but Namine & Prompto gave off more of a united front. [******NAMINE/PROMPTO******] Descriptive Writing and Sportsmanship: The use of the Gravisphere to kill a Firaga when it, to my knowledge, had no such ability (not in its description anyway) really counts against the dynamic duo for this. In contrast, Edgar & Locke I think were a bit too Sportsmanlike, they gave far too much ground that they really didn't have to give. Other than that, I think everyone really did great here. [******EDGAR/LOCKE******] Match Winner: ***** NAMINE/PROMPTO ******
