Ever since getting tossed into the strange worlds beyond her own, Terra had been searching for ways to get her power back. She had tried searching the worlds she was thrown in, but more often than not she always ended up off track due to other things that came up like meeting a former enemy or something like that. Every time the world changed, she was left to face whatever dangers were there with her sword alone. With the exception of one time, she had been lucky not to have to be worried about full battles. That was until today.
Just when the young woman thought she would be able to rest and stay with a friend of hers, one of those strange portals would swallow her up once more. While these portals usually caused her distressed because she never knew where they would place her next, this time around it was different. While she did end up in the strange darkness again, she would not float about like she usually did as she heard a whisper in that darkness. A whisper so familiar that she could not help, but to wander through the darkness to find it.
She searched the darkness for an endless amount of time before finally the voice got a bit louder coming from the direction of a pin-point of light. Following the voice, Terra would enter the light only to find herself falling through the air and towards trees below. With no way to fly, the young woman would find herself free falling through the air before she hit the tree tops and begin to tumble throw them!
Snap, crack, pop, snap, snap, snap! The sounds of the branches breaking under her weight continued for an unknown amount of time before finally she was caught by a sturdy tangle of vines. With her fall halted, the woman would take a moment to just breathe her heart pounding in her chest from her almost near run in with death. She honestly thought she was a goner, but thankfully outside of some scratches and bruises, she was still alive now.
Shifting carefully in her strange bed of vines, Terra sat up a bit as she looked around the place full of tall trees, vines, a grassy floor below and the sounds of wild life all around. She wasn’t sure where she was or even how to get out of said place. She was a little nervous at the thought of being lost forever, but that voice. That all so familiar voice…it had come from here did it not? So surely she was in this place for a reason right?
She didn’t know as she shifted again and…heard the creak and snap of the vine under her. Oh no! with that thought the vines broke under her causing the woman to tumble towards the ground at high speeds with vines slapping at her as she went. On instinct, she reached out to grab one of those vines the pain of the vine slipping through her hands hurting for only a little bit before with a jolt she was able to stop her descent.
Opening her eyes that she had shut, she would sigh before carefully climbing downward towards the ground. Thanks to the vine being a bit short, she had to let herself drop a foot or two down to the ground, the young woman landing in a graceful crouch upon the ground before standing and looking around once more.
It seemed the voice was quiet for now, leaving her wondering which way she should go in a place where everything looked the same….
