For now Relm remained in Traverse Town. Their were parts of it she had yet to search after all! She had met a few intresting people here as well that only gave her more reason that her dad might be here. It was a town for the lost... Their world wasn't like the other people's here but well who's to say it didn't take in people lost in other ways to? If it did their was the chance he was here. If he was well... That all depended on the why she supposed. The reasons he had for leaving his daughter.... She wanted to know. She wanted to know if it was on purpose or due something he coudn't control. She still wanted to belive that he was just lost among these other strange worlds. She wanted to belive that he just needed help to get home. If so she was gonna offer that help! If not... Well it's like Lightining said-Relm would make sure he heard her!
"Where to look next..."
She wasn't entirely sure to be honest. This town had all kinds of different buildings and alleys it would be easy to get lost if she wasn't careful. As eager as she was to find him she didn't want to end up as food for those shadow creatures because she coudn't find her way back. So she'd just have to... Take it slow. It was best to treaf it as she did her art. If she just took her time... It would pay off right? Yes she was sure of it! She just had to keep going and drag him out if whatever dark corner he had crawled into! That was the plan and she was sticking to it!
Currently Relm sat on the fountain in the town's center. The young artist was mulling through her thoughts. She was confident she would find her father. She just wasn't sure wherr to look next! She coudn't just barge into buildings right? She felt like that was bound to get her in trouble. On the other hand she was getting close to havung searched all the alleys and empty areas outside. Maybe if she knocked and just asked to look in their homes? On secind thought... That probaly woudn't go over well. A brief thought of her kicked kicked out on her tush caused Relm to shake. Not something she really wanted to bring about.
But what about the hotel? As far as she knew it was a public place. That meant she could go in and ask all the questions she needed! Maybe look in a few rooms if she played her cards right! Aftet all the customer was always right! And so that's exactly what she could be seen doing to passerby-straght towards the shady looking hotel that may or may not be dangerous.
But hey, little girls could handle themselves right?

She remembered being with the children and remembered being ripped away from them. She remembered being with Edgar fighting Kefka and just like that had been ripped away from him as well. She remembered being in the cold darkness feeling lost and alone as she moved through it trying to find an exit, but finding none. She remembered being scared and perhaps even crying as she reflected on her predicament. She was out of her element with only her sword to protect her and others. All her powers as an Esper were gone and while she could hear whispers in her head, she had no way of tapping back into those powers she once had. It was something that greatly saddened her considering without them she could not hope to protect those around her properly. Yes she could wield a sword, but was that really enough? She did not know and the darkness around her would offer no answers or comfort.
She would continue float alone in that darkness for a while longer before a small pin prick of light came through it. Looking up at the light, the young lady would unfold herself and place her feet on an invisible ground. Moving in a floaty fashion, she would move towards the light that got bigger and bigger until it finally consumed her and then—
She was stumbling out of the darkness and into a town? She would blink as she looked around herself a bit as her eyes caught sight of the strange buildings all around and the star lit sky above. This was definitely a town of some sort, but one she didn’t know of that was for sure. Looking around a bit more, she would begin to move from her spot in an alley way and out into the more open area of the place. She would find herself front of a shady looking hotel the lights from the inside perhaps not so inviting…though maybe she should check it out. It would probably be the best to start to find out exactly where she was. Or she could wander around town.
Her eyes would scan the area around, taking in the place quietly. Well it certainly looked like an interesting place to explore, but would she really get the answers that she needed by wandering around aimlessly. No. No she would not so the hotel would be the best start for her. Turning her attention back towards the building the young woman was about to enter the place when a small, but familiar caught her eye. Pausing in her step, she would turn as she looked at the little girl a small smile coming to her face as she recognize her.
“Hello Relm,” she would say quite surprised that the young girl was here too, but hopefully unlike the other meeting she could stay with a familiar person versus being torn away from it them once more.

For most of her companions, Relm would be worried about them dragging her back home. She could understand why of course, she wasn't dumb. She and Gau were the kids of the group. The difference was Gau for the most part got a pass because he was a literal wild child, which caused most of that attention to be directed towards her, even more so now that their world was for the most part at peace. She could understand yes, but that didn't make it any less annoying for her! She was on a mission! She wanted to hope they could understand that if they did find her. She needed to find him.
That's why she would be worried about most of her companions anyway. But not the voice she heard now. That gentle tone came from someone she was pretty sure no child could dislike, herself especially! The artist turned to face the blonde and smiled. She hadn't seen Terra in forever! She figured she would still be taking care of the children back where she took up residence. Their world was at peace and Terra didn't have to worry about her powers anymore right? She could live a normal life without fear of ever being used again, or for that matter having to worry needing to leave those kids. She could focus on them... Something she could say with certainty they'd appreciate.
So.... Then why was she here... And not with them?
"Terra! Hi! It's been so long! How have you been?"
In the background stalked Interceptor, as protective of the girl as the day It came to stay in Thamasa after their battle with Kefka. She didn't know why Interceptor left Shadow's side but she defently liked having him around. She had always gotten along with the dog well. He didn't like most people but with her he was a big softy! The large hound was always looming behind her, every the vigilant protector.
Relm looked to her friend with a bit of concern however. It kept coming back around in her mind. Was something wrong? Why was Terra here, in this world? What happened? Their world was at peace... She finally had her own life and family. She couldn't imagine Terra up and leaving them for no good reason, after all it had been difficult to get her to come even when it meant taking down Kefka! That's why Relm could only think... Something happened that made her have to go, willing or not.
"Hey Terra...? Why aren't you.... You know, home with the others in Mobliz?"
A look of concern was clear on Relm's face as she asked. Because she knew better... Any of them would know better, Terra wouldn't have just left those kids, or Duane and Katarin on a whim.
Which meant.... Something happened.

She would speak to the child before her eyes would look around at the place they were in wondering how it was that Relm had ended up in a place like this by herself. Where were the others? She had spotted Edgar and Kefka in a desert world and now Relm in this world. What was happening here? Why did it seem everyone was scattered and what was the uneasiness she felt within when thinking about it? So many questions and no answers. It was enough to put some in a panic, but the gentle woman would not freak our as she placed those questions on hold for now and focused on the child that had spoken to her.
A soft smile would appear on her lips as she responded back. “It has been a while. I am happy to see you again and I have been fine. How about you, Relm?” she would ask as she tilted her head slightly at the other as she leaned down to be more on level with the other. While it was concerning the child was on her own, Terra knew from experience the child had ways to protect herself. Besides, her eyes would drift towards the shadows of the area sensing that something was in the background watching them. Perhaps it was that dog that always followed Shadow around or something else. Whatever it was, the presence was familiar and seemed protective towards the child. Like a guardian angel, so the child wasn’t alone truly. That was good. Still it was bothersome to find another of the group so out of place. This couldn’t be a good sign, right?
It was hard to say, but it seemed the child picked up on how strange the meeting was for shortly after her greeting she posed a question that caused the smile to fade from Terra’s face as she moved to stand to original height. Placing a hand on her chest, she would shake her head.
“I…do not understand how this came to be. I was with the children, but a strange darkness came and consumed me. When I came too I was no longer home, but in a different world all together. Since then the darkness has come to visit me many times and each time, I have wound up some place new. Today it brought me here,” she would say as her eyes drifted to the ground, a look of concern and confusion on her face for a few moments before she became serious again. “And you? How did you come here?”

Terra was such a sweet person. At times Relm couldn't help but imagine she was on the same wavelength as her and other children. She just clicked so well. She didn't know if that was because of what she had been threw or if she was just always that way at heart. Kids just always got along with her, Relm included! That was shown in her interaction with the half Esper. A bright smile on her face because yes she was more than happy to let Terra know what was woing on, she was sure she'd be proud of her!
"Well after we all went back to our homes, I went back to my painting and making sure Gramps didn't get in over his head! People seem to like my paintings a lot so that's nice you know?"
The fact she didn't hide that she was one of the ones who defeated the mad clown contributed to that quite a bit. She also in NO way exaggerated her involvement in it to the other children in the slightest. All in all she could say that like much the world she along with the rest of Thamasa were putting themselves back together piece by piece. Heck Relm was looking for what was the last piece for her right now!
Wait she was taken by some darkness stuff? And on top of that it kept grabbing her again and again? That was terrible! The only problem was well... Relm didn't have a proper understanding of what Terra was talking about aside from the magical effect of blind and actual literal night time style darkness. As a result well... Her answer wouldn't be the most accurate.
"Have you tried shining light at it to make it go away?! Wait... Ah Holy! Shoot Holy at it! ...but you don't have magic anymore well umm oh I know some of the others had magicite! Maybe if we find Alexander again we can have him shoot the darkness away! ...should probably do it in a clear area though"
The artist pumped her fist in the air, clearly confident in what she said. It was just darkness right? Well you scared it away with a big flash of light! And Alexander gave the biggest and best burst of light around! It could defently solve Terra's problem if they found it! She was in a high spirit as she told the blonde her plan. To say she was proud of the idea was an understatement, she was praticully giddy with happiness!
Oh... But she wanted to know how she got here. The artist would get up a bit closer and grin.
"I snuck on Setzer's ship of course! It landed near Thamasa for... Some reason I can't remember. So I left Strago a letter and snuck aboard! When I woke up.... The ship had gone to another world!"
She radiated confidence, Setzer never even caught her! Her focus returned to a more neutral one though, as she addressed the more serious part of that subject.
"Now that we've handled Kefka... I want to find my dad. He's out there somewhere, on one of these worlds... I just know it! I'll find him and... I'll drag him back home if need be!"
Of course... The artist put up a strong front but the thing she wanted more than anything?

The half esper would smile as she heard of what the child had been doing. “It seems you have been getting along well then. That is good to hear,” she would say quite happy that the child seemed to be having a simple and good life up until whatever brought her here. Which made her wonder once more what had brought the child here. Was it the same darkness that took her? Or was it something else? She wanted to know, but at the moment had something else to contend with.
It seemed the little one mistaken the darkness that had taken to be just ordinary darkness. The way the other spoke on it made the half-esper chuckle softly as she shook her head at the other. “I am not sure if Light, Holy, or even Alexander could handle this darkness I speak of. It is a strange thing that seems to spread for an eternity. I am not sure what it is or what it wants, but I cannot shake the feeling that something malicious hides in it each time I encounter it,” she would begin her expression serious for a while, but then realizing she may be scaring the child that expression softened as she smiled again. “However, even with all that there, I do think I would be safer with some form of Light or power at my back. As I am now I am not sure how long I may survive like this.” A troubling thought both for herself and others around her. How was she going to protect anything when her sword failed against creatures that were immune to the cut of her blade? She’d be useless…and that was the last thing she wanted to be in a situation that counted.
She thought back to the brief encounter with Kefka when she had found Edgar. While she had raised her blade she had felt so useless to her friend and the people that were attacked there. She had to stand her ground, but….would she have won? She didn’t want to think about it as she mentally pushed that thought away. She would contend with that problem on her own. Anyway back to listening.
As the child came closer with a grin and told her how she came to this place, the young woman would raise her eyebrows a bit impressed. “My, my. Your skills are amazing since he didn’t catch you, but it makes me wonder how his ship was able to travel to another world.” As far as she knew such technology wasn’t about in their world, so what made that ship an exception to the rules? And more importantly how did Setzer know about other worlds? So many questions and no answers…at least not yet. Maybe she would find answers if she kept looking around. As for that last part….
Terra was quiet for a moment as she thought on what the child said before speaking again. “Going to find your father huh?” she would repeat as her eyes scanned the town they were in for a bit before lowering down to the child she was with. “I am on a quest myself to find my powers again. What say you we work together once more to achieve our goals?” Surely two looking for the elusive man and powers would draw better results right?

Relm nodded in confirmation. It had been going well! Life had been pretty peaceful in their world sense they brought down the mad clown. She had been able to devote her time to her art. It had been great! But that one unfinished string kept calling her back. One puzzle piece not accounted for. If she found him she felt like she’d able to fully embrace their peaceful life... be able to live it to the fullest! She just coudn’t do so with doubts lingering in her minds, important things left unaccounted for.
Relm frowned on her response to her declaration. She had been so sure it would work to... that darkness seemed like a real jerk! Why was it messing with Terra like this? The older woman had already been through so much in her life. Now she had to deal with some shadow thing to? That wasn’t fair! No Relm wasn’t about to let that keep going ether! She had no intentions of letting her grief be forced to keep going through that forced separation every time she met someone.
”I think your right Terra! We need to find something to counter it... maybe an item with resistance... oh what if theirs magicite here? Or somewhere else... I know you lost your powers but... some of the others had some... so I think some might still be around”
She’d nod in confidence and give a twirl before pumping her fist in the air with excitement!
”Yes I wasn’t far off after all! If we can find something like that to help you... some magicite could help impart some of your magic back to you! Or even that light your looking for... we should try to find something!”
For Relm ‘will you help me’ didn’t need to be asked. It was a clear fact to her that she would always help her friends. That’s what they did right? They always stood by each other. Their was never a question of ‘if’ right? Their didn’t need to be! Her friends would help her and she would help them! She could set aside her search for now because Terra needed that help!
The question of how Setzer’s ship got got her off world came up and Relm rubbed her chin in confusion. In truth she hadn’t thought about it up to now. She had reached her goal... a new place to look for her dad. At the time that was enough for her, it never crossed her mind! How HAD Setzer managed that? She didn’t really know!
”Well I... I didn’t really think about it Terra... sorry, I was just a bit to excited I guess.... oh but yes he never saw it coming!”
She put her hands on her hips and nodded, clearly proud of her accomplishment. Terra then made an offer to her and the artist smiled. Work together huh? She’d love that! With the two of them working together... she could help her friend. Terra wanted to help her to. Well of course she did Terra was such a nice person! Relm was certain that if they worked together they would have no problem solving both their problems! The artist jumped up and down in joy before nodding her head rather quickly.
”Of course Terra! Let’s do it! Together nothing will get in our way!”
One could tell in her face she fully believed that, being with her friends always made her happy now a days, with Terra also willing to help her well... their was no doubt in her mind! Between Lightning and Terra... their were no doubts in her mind!

She was happy that the girl’s life had been going well and for a few short moments remembered how well her life was going. Without her powers she had been free and happy with the kids, praying that nothing like Kefka would ever happen to the world again. Everything had been so right and then….this happened. This strange darkness that had torn her away from her world and placed her in another place time and time again. She was a bit scared of what it all meant. This could mean danger was growing again. The fact she saw Kefka could’ve been a sign of his return to power or something worse. Maybe he and the darkness that pulled her from her home was tied together…then again maybe they were separate. The situation certainly was a confusing pickle that in the end Terra was going to figure out so that perhaps once solved she could go back home again to the kids. Be safe again and peaceful again.
The thought filled her with new determination, so that when Relm spoke of countering the Darkness, she would give a nod this time as she spoke. “You’re right. There has to be something that counters it. Powers or not, I will search and find that answer. It might be beneficial to both of us and others in the end. As for where to look, I suppose this is a good spot to start as any.” Not like she knew where to go or how to even leave this world properly to search for such an item, so maybe being here would be a good first step.
The young girl’s enthusiasm only solidify her determination as she gave a smile and nod to the girl. “Yes. Let’s do that!” she would say feeling quite happy for the assistance that was being offered. With both of them working at this perhaps she would find her powers sooner and be able to aid the child in her own quest. Yes this was going to be great. Everything would be just fine…or so she hoped at least.
That aside it would seem the question of how Setzer’s ship managed to cross worlds would remain a mystery. The young girl hadn’t even pondered such a thing and who could blame her. The half-esper was sure the child had other things on her mind outside of how the ship did what it did. As the younger one apologize, she would shake her head. “It is alright. I am just glad you were able to pull it all off and arrive safely.” That was the most important thing after all. The how and what not of it all could be figured out at a later time.
Speaking of things and time, it would seem the offer she placed out there for them to work together was taken by the small artist. This was something that caused the half esper to smile in sheer delight as she clasp her hands together.
“Wonderful! It is settled then,” she would begin before looking around the town and becoming serious again. “Though where do you think we should begin? This place seems quite large.” And it was unfamiliar, so what to do now?
