Mogrid had been biding his time in the spectators' stands, watching the proceedings with...well, disinterest, honestly. The creatures didn't seem that bright, seeking to do more damage to buildings and furniture than to living beings. Then the cannon dropped, assembled, and aimed itself at bystanders.
The moogle was in the air and hurtling north before he could stop to think. He'd seen plenty of Magitechnical weapons thanks to Archades, and he knew in his pom that he couldn't let this one fire. Granted, charging in was probably unwise, he could deal damage to this sort of device from afar by sabotaging key sections with well-aimed spells. In fact, that was probably still possible, all he had to do was land and start casting Bl-OH KUPO THE GENERATOR IS RIGHT THERE!
The moogle backflapped hard to avoid crashing into the southwest generator, and instead ended up on top of the thing, planting his keyblade in the structure's roof to avoid falling over the opposite edge. He scrambled to the top and quickly scanned the device, to see how it provided energy to the main assembly. If he could cut that flow off on whatever generators remained once the participants dealt with hopefully at least one of them... Locating a likely coupling and calculating the distances for the northwest and southeast generators, Mogrid held his keyblade aloft and began drawing forth ice.

[attr="class","kiminoright"] The corner of Dagger’s lips twitched, threatening to spread into her characteristic mirthful smirk in response to Zidane’s child-like antics. The Genome was nervously rubbing the back of his head, bashfully chuckling to himself as he’d formulated an appropriate response – citing that he’d believed that she’d been only a few steps behind him. Somehow, the disguised Queen didn’t doubt that, genuinely believing it’d been a slight miscalculation on her beloved’s part. Frankly, within her close-knit circlet of friends, Garnet concluded that only Freya and Amaranth possessed the physical constitution to match Zidane – she’d only managed due to having extensive knowledge of their metaphorical battlefield. It took Zidane scarcely a second or two to right himself, swiftly joining her side, albeit, he made a few playful jokes in the process. [break][break]
Aforementioned jokes fell flat, lapsing into an uncomfortable silence when he’d realized her intentions. She’d scarcely registered that he’d uttered her name, not bothering to opening her eyes as she’d finished her chant. To her surprise, Ramuh’s judgement had purified three of the enemy combatants, however, due to Blaise’s impromptu deluge of water, the stray arcs were carried across the battlefield – making short work of a grand total of seven of the goblins. Collectively, Bliase and herself had managed to successfully even out the odds, ensuring that their two hunting parties wouldn’t be over-run any time soon. Garnet’s head lulled in Zidane’s direction, her tongue peeking out in a rare display of childishness. While her two-year tenure as Alexandria’s Queen, it had deprived her of opportunities to train her body, on the other hand, it had provided her mind the opportunity to blossom. [break][break]
To her surprise, Zidane seemed to indulge in her unlady-like behavior, incentivizing the situation with a wager – the victor of which got to decide the location of their next date. Her hand extended out in Zidane’s direction, her intentions to stop him for a split second, to remind him to not do anything too reckless. However, before she could do so, Zidane had already nimbly moved to the edge of the rooftop, redrawing his blades before he’d began to encroach upon his prey. Garnet felt Float’s influence over her body begin to wane, her weightlessness quickly dissipating. Before it’d disappeared entirely, Garnet drifted from atop the rooftop and down to the ground, the last of the magic dissipating just as the heel of her anklet boots connected with the ground. [break][break]
Dagger had paid the scantily clad, whip-blade wielder little mind, their antics failed to elicit and outward reaction from the composed Queen. However, internally, Garnet was simply fuming, the lewd advances towards her husbands and comments directed at herself. No doubt, if such statements had been made in her Kingdom, they’d no doubt find themselves peering down the length of one of her trusted Knight’s blades – not even bothering to wait for her command. Alas, that was irrelevant to their current predicament. Dagger quickly made her way towards Zidane’s side, being joined by Blaise whom seemed more interested in the prospect of the rescued creature being a bounty. Her face scrunched up just a bit, the faintest hint of distaste evident – it was a living creature for Eildon’s sake. [break][break]
A few moments later, the horde of Goblins began to swarm forth, creatures emerging from every fathomable location, their numbers alone was enough to put the idea of emerging victorious to rest – they’d require a sizable contribution from Lindblum’s Guard to equalize the odds. However, that became an after thought as something streaked across the sky, hunks of metal raining down around them before it’d collected solidly. Garnet’s eyes widening in horror as the sheer force of its’ impact knocked her off her feet. Her body was sent through the air like a marionette with its’ strings snipped, colliding roughly with the ground. Unfortunately, her cowl had been pulled back, revealing the Queen to all, her concerns focused elsewhere as she’d assessed herself for injuries and searched for Zidane. [break][break]
Her ears still rung, the enemies’ banter nothing more than a low ring, incomprehensible at the time being, no matter how much she tried to focus on them. However, it seemed that the rescued creature had already begun to move about, taking a stance as he did something to one of the newly planted machines. He wasn’t the only one though, a moogle brandishing an odd key-shaped weapon had taken flight, taking up a position as they’d channeled their own spells. Garnet’s grip on her racket tightened as she’d focused her attention on the nearest machine, launching three rapid concussive blasts at it.

Blaise groaned as he extricated himself from debris and broken shingles. Color and sound swam together for a bit as the nervous system caught up with the fact that’d being slammed into a storefront at speeds that’d cause any chiropractor to wince. Yet the mage didn’t have the time to consider bowing out due to not actually being able to bow. Wide-eyed azure attention took in a scene of quickly evolving madness. An artificer’s nightmare after hitting the Gysahl Greens too hard stood in the square, a monstrosity of metal and erratic conduction ready to lay waste to everything. The tangerine Cage-creature was apparently trying to electrocute itself in terror, a gameplan Blaise whole-heartedly sympathized with to be honest. A moogle with a keyblade (wait…what?!) was now performing some very non-routine maintenance with glacial shards. The classier summoner had lost her hood in the fray, making what’d been an idle celebrity flight of fancy to be more plausible, though hardly relevant at the moment. She was hosting a wrecking party on one of the generators too. Priorities had changed, good to know.
Moved by concern for his comrades, and just maybe the possibility that the unseemly demise of a local monarch or relative there-of by goblin ballistics would lead to everyone culpable being summarily beheaded, Blaise decided some wards were order. Some quick mental geometry and mana ratios sent Blaise jogging to a location in the plaza that was way more open then he might’ve liked, but had the best chance of ensuring he caught Possible Monarch, Simian Slicer, Over-sultry Summoner, Keymog Surprise, and the Not-Hat-Beast within the shield’s casting. Sibilant phrases of Draconic speech were woven with sweeping motions into azure serpentine shapes that whisked through the air to curl and coil into Mighty Guards around the members of the beleaguered hunting posse.
“Hmm,” the blue magus murmured, trying to find the disquietingly quick duelist amongst the fallen or fighting. “You sir, seem suitably deadly.” Focusing on Zidane should he choose to accept the blessing (forcing spells onto men with sharp knives led to high medical bills after-all), Blaise whispered a prayer to the Bahamut while clenching a fist till the knuckles grew pale. Light and pressure built within tendon and bone till Blaise couldn’t handle anymore and the mage released the Dreadwyrm’s power towards the Thief Prince in a rush of verdant light.
1) Blaise uses a move action to pick himself up and move into a better position 2) Blaise casts Mighty Guard, attempting to give Protect and Shell to as many raid members as possible 3) Blaise casts Dragon Force on Zidane (if accepted) increasing physical and magical damage by one tier.

While Zidane was usually one to regard flirtatious advances, he knew a woman when he saw,, that they weren't one, but it also had not been in his leisure to stop and take regard for such when much of his focus had been on Dagger, or impressing her with his feats of athleticism. He'd be way too self conscious had he taken note his romances toward Dagger were even a bit noticeable. Far be it for him to realize how utterly head over heels he was for her that his affections bled out faster than a cotton stuffed moogle doll dropped from a rooftop. Speaking of Moogles when he hand landed street side with the Moomba, to check on him after being assailed and harassed by goblins and competitors alike the rogue would look up, having perched himself on the cage's edge, arm hanging forward with his thief's blade rest over his shoulder.
But before words could be spoken, hailing the familiar pom pom toting mechanic a seismic force had done to knock the lot, hunters and prey alike, flat on their asses. Zidane had tumbled back off the high off surface and hand landed on his back. His eyes felt a bit dizzy from the fall, but more so the shockwave that had knocked him off his perch. He groped the air uselessly before sitting up. His sword has been tossed just out of reach. His ears would catch the shout of the mechanist Goblin leader, an urgency that was fitting when come to an event like the Hunt. Hunters didn't usually stand together, vying for collecting as many points as possible but the collective of minions seems to have urged a temporary alliance, if only to fend off what had become a wall of gobbies ready to fight back!
Zidane rolled over and grasped his blade, feeling a surge of power laid over him by Blaise. He rolled to his feet in a show of agility before spinning his blade before returning to ready stance. "Whoa! Lookit!" The thief had taken note of the generators. He was no mechanical genius but he recognized an odd looking piece of handiwork that gave his opponent a sheer advantage. "Thanks pal, lets take these guys out." The rogue pointed. "I'll keep the big ones distracted, those machines, you guys take 'em out!" Not one to bark orders it was clear that the state of events left them with little choice but to synchronize their efforts. "Alley opp!"
Zidane made quick work of getting himself moving. A swift jump into the air and a burst of speed forward he would Air Dash towards the turret at the south region's center and drop as close to it as he could. "Sorry big guy, there'll be no burning anyone today." Zidane compressed a significant pressure of magic into his palm before he jumped up and released it towards the the turret. His Scoop Art skill was a cheap and dirty sort of magic attack that compressed the mana within the rogue and lurched it out in the easiest manner possible, much akin to a monk's ability to extend their chi. The Ogre: The Ogre uses the combined magical force of the twin Mage Mashers to provide the chance to inflict the Blind status on opponents, diminishing their ability to attack, by over half, for a one post duration. This is a passive ability and has a 10% (above 90 on a d100 roll) chance of inflicting blind when the sword strikes an enemy. Jump Boost: Raises Zidane's normal, vertical jump from 4m (15ft) to 6m (20ft) when not in trance. [Passive]Air Dash - 1 Cooldown When facing an enemy the thief can push from the ground to the air in a high-speed Dash toward the target. This ability only works if the thief is on the ground. This ability can only target an enemy up to 3m (10ft) away. This ability does no damage and only draws the thief closer to their enemy, bringing him to a close quarter position. Scoop Art - 2 Post Cooldown Zidane expels a portion of the energy built up in his body out towards an enemy. This ability can be used from the ground or air and does not need a weapon to be cast. This ability is considered a magical attack so is not affected by Protect-like abilities. This ability has a short range, reaching up to 4ft (1.2m). MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Bluebeam, landscream, go!"Taplocks reacted quickly to someone having joined the fight. With a tug of the joystick in his hands and the press of a few buttons, he turned the weapon to the southeast, locking onto the fluffball that had dared step up first. Almost too swiftly, the barrel released a torrent of bright blue energy that traveled through its target and cleaved through the opposite wall in the same instant, the resulting laser scorching everything it touched in the meantime- Except for the generator, which seemed completely unscathed. Similarly, his turret didn't seem taxed by its exertion in the slightest. Not an inch of recoil had plagued the machine, and it seemed ready to fire again at any moment.
Its pilot was fazed, however, when he noticed his Generators were being assailed. "Filthy uplander sweathands touching my precious whirlycogs! STOP IT!" He pounded his control panel with his fists, conveniently forgetting that he could have used that time to retaliate with another beam. When his hands returned to the controls, it was just in time for an orb of energy struck him... Or rather, his shield. The bubble surrounding the Goblin and his turret brightened at the point of impact, and the spell in question merely splashed over the aetherial barrier, completely blocked off from its intended target. When the energy had faded and he could be seen again, he had already turned the gun to aim upward, the inside of the barrel lighting up as he repeatedly mashed the button atop his joystick. "Still too biggietough for your monkey magicks, he teased loudly before another beam shot from the gun, this one sweeping upward to catch the thief in the air with equally potent power as before. Gyun was really hoping that today would get better. He really was. He got out of the cage, he beat up a goblin, he possibly made a friend. He really wanted things to go right, to go well, and amidst the chaos, it seems like they might be kind of sort of going in that direction, but he's having a rather difficult time being excited about that, because it wasn't option 3. It was option 3A, which is unfortunately remarkably different from option 3. Gyun staggers briefly, a bubble flashing around him and briefly diffusing the flash of blue that sears through his position. He didn't have time to dodge, he didn't have time to move. The goblin acted, and the laser fired straight through his position in an instant, and considering he was down on all fours at the time, that's about the worst outcome imaginable for him. He takes note, briefly, that the generator behind him is seemingly unharmed. This technology is a lot more stable than it... first seemed.
Gyun has the presence of mind to grit his teeth and sweep a paw to trigger the magic, light filtering from the northeast generator, swirling together, and targeting the northwest generator with a flash, surrounding the supportive structure with a cloud of what appears to be a very brilliant and potent form of thunder, seeing as it seems to have no intention of ending any time soon. He hopes that's enough, and then the pain hits. He's not human, his shock phase is quite short, and if the fact that he's scorched from his face down through his haunches, mane and tail-tuft smoldering is any indication, that was a very much critical hit and pretty much his entire person got flash fried by that beam. Burning Moomba is very much not a terribly pleasant smell, somewhat ozone-y and after activating his cast the feline flops over looking quite incapacitated and possibly deceased.
He really, really hopes he looks deceased, because if he does, then he's not going to get shot at again any time soon, probably. As it stands... well, he's in pain. A lot of pain. Like really a loooot of pain, he also can't actually really see much of what's going on, everything has gone kind of blurry. Taking a megawatt laser to the face tends to kind of... do that to your vision. He has firmly decided that this situation really sucks, and the fact that the generator behind him seems to go despite the laser not having harmed it does nothing to help, because he cannot appreciate the timely intervention of whoever intervened. In any case, his very abused little smoking furry body twitches a little bit, and he focuses what energy he can muster to cast one of the few spells he actually knows. He can feel his adrenaline pumping, heart pounding, body primed for a desperate act, but in his condition and in this situation it would do... not much, and he's too concerned with the pain he's in to even consider attacking again. He wants to not hurt, he wants to be healed! Cure!
The Moomba is surrounded by a faint swirling light, and suddenly instead of looking extremely dead, or perhaps mostly dead, he now looks... only about half-dead, scorch marks fading away, smoldering dying down a little. He's not that tough to begin with, so it's more than enough to get him back on his feet, and sort of seeing, if not in top condition. Gyun decides that his next course of action is to skedaddle! not out of here of course, because turning tail would open him up to a dead on shot like that again and it's something he does not need. If it weren't for the... bubble thing, he'd absolutely be a roast right now. He can't afford any more mistakes, he has to treat this like he's being hunted, because he is. For now, he has to look after himself.
The moment the cure has done his work, Gyun focuses on, well, Gyun, and flings himself to a full charge as fast as his four legs will carry him... he gets alongside the machine from a suitable distance, and uses his high speed to begin circling the goblin, and his low stature to hide his movements behind the various debris resulting from the ship's crash landing. Weaving closer and further as he turns, with the brief periods he's visible it's going to look like he's moving in a relatively clean circle instead of a serpentine, just like he would if escaping through the trees or undergrowth. Each time he gets a clear view of the goblin, he's going to focus as hard as he can on seeing how the creature pilots the machine. He already has a rough idea of how the creature fires. Hopefully this is a better plan than running straight at or away from the machine.
Gyun finishes Drawcast, firing Magitek Thunder on the Northwest Generator. Gyun casts cure upon himself so he can get back into fighting condition. Gyun gets moving in an attempt to confuse the easily upset and currently flustered gobby, while watching carefully.

1-20 NE, hits on <18
Mogrid flung his key wide, sending three shards of ice at the two northern generators! The sound of ice on metal confirmed two hits to the generator hidden behind the cannon itself, each one curving wildly around the weapon. Then he leapt over the edge and used his keyblade to scrape his way down the generator and to the ground, charging for the main platform to get underneath the firing range.
"You call this hunk of junk engineering? I could dismantle this thing in my sleep, kupo!" he shouted, trying to distract the pilot of the metal monstrosity from the creature he'd seen fleeing in the other direction from the corner of his eyes. He gave a nod of recognition to Zidane as the thief came into view, and swung his keyblade at random, creating whirring gears in its wake to give the impression of damage being done to the 'precious whirlicogs', and hoped the goblin was dumb enough to fall for the distraction.
Hopefully the bubble he'd seen around the other attackers was the same as the one that had popped up around the moogle himself, because if that pilot got off a shot it was going to HURT.

“Oh hell no!” Blaise exclaimed in petulant fury as the moogle/lion/gopher hybrid took hyper-charged particles in the face. “If I’m not getting a zero-point lion hat today, no one is!”
Blaise voice become a soft wistful sound swallowed by the escalating pandemonium. There were no words or any syntax, just the primal Angelic Whisper of a world stirring from the sleep of unbeing. He spoke of rain, it’s ages long patter upon ancient mountainsides and ivy-choked wealds that were eons old before mankind first found their Hearts. He spoke of fire, it’s uneasy sleep within the chthonic depths, its slavery to forge tools of bloodshed, and that desperate longing to rejoin a greater Light long lost. He spoke of islands drifting in the vast cold dark, lonely and broken, a sea of shattered glass. One day, it might be whole again. But for now, let this one know grace.
A sphere of pearly incandescence drifted down from the now smoke-choked clouds, descending upon Gyun in a rush of light and soft susurrations. If accepted in the celestial power promised revivification of tissues from charred necrosis and the cessation of pain.
Deciding he more then fulfilled this month’s ‘enough piety to convince Mother I might not be going to Hell’ quota, Blaise unclasped his hands only to find the keyblader Moggle before some gatling-gun ice shenanigans on the Northern generators. Questions about that enigmatic weapon’s roll as a eldritch conductor came to mind, whether it truly unlocked inner potential versus simply supplying more mana for already existent power to achieve complex iterations. But that’d have to wait, though Blaise new better then to expect a straight answer on matter from his Keyblader associate Morrigan.
Seeing that one of the remaining southern generators was already on the fritz, Blaise judged a quick cantrip might be sufficient. Bringing a booted foot down in a firm stomp one the cobblestones, Blaise began a chant in the deep resonant tongue of the mountain Gigas clans. The vibrations created by his foot's impact were by themselves insignificant, merely a fleeting transfer of kinetic energy between molecules. However the geomantic power of the spell prevented the oscillations from dissipating, causing the reverberations to hum and build until loose stones danced like dice across the square. “Assailants within the ground, its time to rumble! Quake!”
A crack and deep groan heralded the soil and stone collapsing beneath the Southwest generator.
1. Blaise casts Angel Whisper on Gyun to heal him of medium wounds 2. Blaise casts Quake in hope of finishing off the Southwest generator.

[attr="class","kiminoright"] Dagger felt her heart plummeting to the pit of her stomach as she’d witnessed the machine’s destructive capabilities – reaffirming that this was indeed not a part of the Festival of the Hunt. Fortunately, Blaise’ preemptive thinking had encircled most of their party with a protective shell of magic, one that she’d recognized as both shell and protect despite its’ casting have been dynamically different than her own. She suppressed her desire to immediately rush to both Gyun and Zidane’s sides as they’d been extensively targeted, inwardly praying that the protective magick encircling them was enough to abate the worst for the time being. [break][break] Her grip on her racket tightened as she’d prepared yet another concussive blast, mesmerized by the whirling winds that gathered within her weapon. She’d lobbed the manifested zephyr in the direction of the last functioning generator, a pleased smirk as it’d lapsed into a momentary silence. Her attention then shifted to the screeching goblin, her eyes fluttering shut as she’d extended her rod in their direction, reciting memorized scriptures as she’d invoked Float and Blind . The first manifested itself as a plume of white magick that drifted effortlessly towards its’ intended target, the latter was a thick opaque miasma that trickled down her arms before exploding outwards an attempting to encircle its’ target. Taplocks spent a good amount of time spinning his turret to and fro, trying to lock onto the flitting pests as they dashed by repeatedly. After he decided he'd growled enough at his machine, he spoke again. "Beasties always running, running, but blue-hand Taplocks doesn't need to. Firebloom, go!" With the flip of a panel, another button on his console, an additional button was brought to light, just as bright a red as the last. With a fist slammed into it, the abused plastic sank into the panel, and the blue glow disappeared from the weapon's barrel, soon replaced by an orange flame that seeped out as it grew in strength. Just as it seemed ready to burst forward, though, the flow was cut off. Repeated smashes of the button did nothing to bring it back, much to the Goblin's dismay.
His laughter stopped. He took hold of the console and shook it, then looked around to see that his shielding bubble was also dissipating. "F-Filthy uplanders broke it! he concluded, stepping up from his seat and leaping from the machine entirely...
...And his feet never reached the ground. To make matters even worse than he thought, he was now floating in the air, thanks to a certain hunter's contribution. He flailed there, trying to grab hold of something, but only caused himself to drift further from his turret. "No! Can't... Touch... Gah!" Breathing heavily from his exertion and still trying to right himself, he made yet another attempt to retaliate, but not with his turret this time. "Want to break metal?" he taunted, drawing another device from his pocket with one hand while his other gave what was meant to be a threatening point to the surrounding hunters. "Get Broke!" With that shout, he threw the device to the ground, where it tumbled over the stone until it settled against the foot of the turret. There, a single antenna shot upward, the tip shining a bright red and releasing a loud ping. Another cannon fired- Reinforcements were on their way. Even from a distance, it was no challenge discerning that this last package was much larger than those that had first come. Its movement through the air was sluggish, and it visibly spun as it went, slowly approaching the plaza until it landed in the center, its immense weight crushing the turret under polished golden feet. The impact also had the unfortunate effect of causing Taplocks' untethered form to careen away, spinning about as he was launched through the air at an absurd velocity, having no chance of landing any time soon, let alone surviving if he did. He would never see what his creation was about to do.
It was enormous. The machine easily stood at upwards of fifteen feet tall, and double that in sheer width, being an oblong walking wall in terms of proportion. Ornate golden buttresses supported metal plating that shone with an unnatural green even though it clearly wasn't painted. Where two arms should have been were two bulbous pods of similar design that each took up a third of its torso. Atop its shoulders were a group of four rotary cannons, each probably larger than a man, and scattered about its side pods were other, smaller weapons that didn't look much less destructive than the first four. In the center of its torso was embedded a single sphere, shielded with curved plates that opened to reveal a single, glowing eye that immediately took sight of the situation nearby.
One massive machine, four mortars, four single cannons, four twins, and an eye with its piercing gaze- All were locked onto the hunters within seconds of the tank's landing.
Though the mortars didn't seem capable of moving (every attempt to do so resulted in their joints sparking and halting in place), they remained fixed on the sky and ready to fire anyway. The other cannons, meanwhile, seemed perfectly ready to fire, and each took aim and, after a moment to load, began raining lead on the surrounding area. Zidane was knocked for a loop with that attack, but he was still standing well enough. Pushing to his feet he was proud he played his role, distracting much of the damage to himself, but it also seemed the little cat guy got pretty blown out too. Blaise's boost would have really helped out, though the shields basically nullified his efforts. He rolled his shoulders, unclasping his blades from their sword state and stepped forward to see that with the goblin's toys down he brought in the big guns. And whoa boy were they big!
"I guess it's time to show them what we got!" He looked to Dagger and motioned his hand. "Time to go up!"Zidane wasn't shy about getting up close and personal with the heftiest hitters. It was probably a god-sent that his beloved was skilled as she was in the healing arts or they would end up facing a great deal more downtime! Being as quick footed as he was the rogue would Distract the enemy in question so that it would become a fright to land a hit on his as he used his Air Dash to push into close quarters. once at his mark he jumped up to make a strike for one of its anterior canons pushing his blades into a deadly spin to rend into the machine's offenses with his Vortex attack. He would quickly drop down to the ground at a most damnable close ranged proximity. Mage Masher: Mage Mashers live up to their namesake and have the chance to inflict the Silence status on casters, disabling their ability to cast magic for a one post duration. This is a passive ability and has a 10% (above 90 on a d100 roll) chance of inflicting silence when the blades strike an enemy.Jump Boost: Raises Zidane's normal, vertical jump from 4m (15ft) to 6m (20ft) when not in trance. [Passive] Distract - 2 Cooldown; 2 Post Duration When used Zidane becomes a more trying target by distracting an enemy with his words or taunting actions, lowering one's ability to attack him, by over half, for a 2 Post duration due to distracting antics. The cooldown does not begin until after the ability's duration has ended. Distract works like blind, reducing the chance a physical attack will land on the Thief. Distract can be used in conjunction with Counter to crate an effect similar to Evade and CounterAir Dash - 1 Cooldown When facing an enemy the thief can push from the ground to the air in a high-speed Dash toward the target. This ability only works if the thief is on the ground. This ability can only target an enemy up to 3m (10ft) away. This ability does no damage and only draws the thief closer to their enemy, bringing him to a close quarter position.Vortex - 3 Cooldown This attack can only be used midair. An upward spiraling attack that slashes at opponent(s) for light damage, than strikes multiple (3) times to knock them back. This attack can be chained to Booster 8 as a combo finisher. It can be used with either blade archetype (Mage Mashers or The Ogre). This attack strikes all surrounding foes, doing area effecting damage MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Gyun skids to a stop and prepares to leap for the pilot seat as the goblin floats up and away, spying a chance to take control of the situation. With additional healing he's in top form, but right before he makes the jump something tremendous comes crashing down. It's even bigger than the last, blows the goblin away, and forces him to skid back slightly due to his smaller stature. The moomba stares blankly, briefly, at the absolutely massive machine standing before them, and notices the completely flat and destroyed structure under it. He would have been a rug had he made that leap. Then the firing starts. The moomba hisses, scampers and skitters away from the live fire. He can't really deal with gunfire, and has no choice but to attempt to reposition himself. The moomba skitters behind some debris, looks to the machine, and then shifts position again to the side of the metal monstrosity, a place where the LEAST number of thing are able to take aim at him, and dives behind more cover in a place that he estimates the mortars will not be able to fire. He is very much not faster than bullets, which means he's taking some hits whenever he's out of cover. Protect helps, but he can tell he could not survive sustained fire for very long. The feline has very few options available to him. He could easily attack from this range using blizzard, and the target is easily hard enough for it to shatter AND a huge target, but he doubts that such low level magic will have much of a noticeable effect on a beast like that, which leaves him with one option. Gyun takes a deep breath, and takes a peek out from behind the debris, trying to minimize his profile so as to not be... shot in the face, which seems like it might be easier with the monkey boy trying to get the creature's attention again. The Moomba focuses clasps his paws together, and once again tries to Drawcast, syphoning energy out of the magitek monstrosity to trigger a spell. He's successfully triggered magitek thunder recently, so even if that spell were available he wouldn't be able to use it. He hopes that the machine has something else to broadside it with, and the magic doesn't just fizzle out. Gyun takes evasive action to escape cannon fire. He cannot outrun gunfire, but with good maneuvering he does his best to minimize damage and take cover directly in line with the east side of the machine, away from the rest of the hunters.
Gyun uses actions this round to Drawcast in an attempt to pull a new spell for immediate use. Gyun cannot drawcast Magitek Thunder again for another Two rounds, and must draw something else if available. If no other magical attacks are available, the attempt fails.
Cure is also on cooldown for this round.
Magitek Thunder's effect on the vicinity of the very much disabled NW Generator will cease at the end of this round due to Drawcast spells' reduced duration.

He should have really really should’ve run.
When? Eh perhaps, maybe when the probable Queen showed up, the arrival of legitimate authority was never a good sign, most definitely when the laser beams started getting involved. Laser breams were basically the universal sign for ‘in too deep.’
Blaise loosed his grip on his side, feeling the spread of slick coppery-scented warmth renew after the release of pressure. He glanced down a one gloved hand, the rune-embroidered leather soaked through with a deep crimson stain. The wards had blunted the kinetic force of the bullets, but sheezly cripes that was alot of blood. He had to fight off a sudden wave nausea and swirling light-headedness.
See here, it wasn’t that he was afraid of blood of course! Blaise was too splendid and enlightened a wizard for that… alright …maybe just…his own blood. It had a very important job to do and here it was going on strike like…everywhere!
But there was no time to run anymore, no time to time think.
Blaise steepled his fingers and touched his thumbs together to form a triangle, trying to let his mind drift. He clasped onto the memory of being bitten by that Adamantoise, that near fatal incident that first awoke the Azure power within him. Blaise let the recollection of terror flow into him without suppressing it, the pain, the panic, and the dread of death as a seemingly unstoppable force barrel-rolled him down into the mud-choked water. Within that cell-deep memory came an upwelling of violet light, the primal magic gained through suffering enkindling into the first spell Blaise’d ever known without the need for books or formula. Mantra Magic whirled outward in a bright missile, streaking outward towards the great automaton’s weapon systems.
Number of Missiles _7vX6cCN1-8
Fear mixed with the feeling of flowing mana and blood to spur Blaise forward, wincing as stray metal thok-thoked against the shield’s translucence, causing it flare in brief cerulean brilliance as projectiles made long wind-like whines as they careened off. More unnerving were the direct hits where Mighty Guard only slowed the bullets, creating an impression not unlike arrows plunging through the water. Some Blaise ducked under or flailed in a stumbling drunken monkey dodge in full sprint, others he did not. By the time he came within thirty feet the immense juggernauts base, Blaise knew he probably should’ve saved that Angel Whisper for himself. A series of coughs brought up more blood and the memory of rolling around in a Malboro’s stomach. Blaise sucked in air till his chest puffed out, holding on to building poisonous pressure and the eidetic retention of the great green beasts acidic tongue till he could bear both no longer. Corrosive acidulous vapor poured over the portion of the mechanical monstrosity the missile had not, Bad Breath hopefully weakening the hull and weapon systems on that side.
Blaise doubted he could take another volley of gunfire, not at this range anyway. He stared up into the gem-like eye with interest before pointing a shaking finger up at it as if in accusation. “If I live through this…thats mine…definitely mine,” Blaise claimed with a smile of rueful greed, perhaps trying to justify taking this risk to himself when there was little to gain that could be measured against interest payments. The mage called upon one of the last memories left, one of few spells that weren’t already spent smoking candles. The vampire’s voice had been soft, his breath like a lilacs mixed with something beyond recollection that'd made the world swim.If Blaise was really being honest, there been some part of himself that’d been willing to accept 'The Gift', to let those fangs take his Heart and problems away. The pain had been like nothing he’d ever experienced, even these damned bullets. But even as that dark poison entered his bloodstream and beckoned him toward never-ending twilight where he could love or not love as he wished, the Blue Mage mutation had nevertheless proved a jealous mistress. Blaise, like most of his kindred, was immune. He’d received Hellfire into his veins instead of eternity, and right now that was all he had.
“Inscript the dark god into a rotting body! Shadowflare!”
1) Blaise casts Mantra magic to damage one weapon
2) Blaise casts Bad Breath to try and damage the Oppressor and the other two weapons (author is assuming a mech is immune to those status ailments
3) Blaise casts Shadowflare primarily targeting the Oppressor, rolling 1d4 to see what happens exactly (On rolls of 1: Blaise and all enemies take heavy Dark/Fire damage, 2: The primary target takes massive Dark/Fire damage and surrounding creatures take heavy damage. 3: Blaise and the primary target take critical Dark/Fire damage and are Ignited, taking minor Fire damage for four posts. 4: The primary target takes Critical Dark/Fire damage and surrounding creatures take massive damage)

[attr="class","kiminoright"] Garnet’s heart seized in her chest, an innate discomfort swelling within her as her gaze settled on the newest addition to the Hunt – it vaguely resembled Alexander. She forced herself to swallow the lump that had formed in her throat, redoubling her grip upon her racket as she’d surveyed the battlefield. She’d noted that each of the combatants whom had sustained injury had already tended to their injuries, minus her beloved. Fortunately, the protective magick had negated a majority of the damage, none the less, Garnet began reciting the memorized scriptures for a medium-tier spell. Cura manifested itself as a spiraling mass of shimmering dust, one that quickly flew in Zidane’s direction and would knit together the damaged flesh and ease his suffrage. [break][break] Now it’d seemed that everyone had gone on the offensive, Blaise’ magical prowess was indeed something to behold as spell after spell bombarded the target. She’d clutched the peridot close to her bosom once more as she’d began to silently pray to Ramuh once again. The stone within her clutches came to life, bathing the surrounding area in a faint baleful glow, its’ very essence crackled and hummed with a electricity. It only intensified as once more those previously seen storm clouds rolled in once again, the same arcs of lightning danced through the sky. It lasted for only a moment before Ramuh descended to their level, brandishing his rod as he’d invoked his divine wraith. [break][break] The singular mighty javelin of electricity streaked down with a thunderous boom, exploding with fervent intensity as it’d struck the metal creature. Its’ primary targets had been the might beast itself, and its’ remaining weapon systems – hoping to take at least one or two of them offline. With her work being done, Garnet moved about the battlefield, positioning herself behind some stacked crates for the time being as she’d launched a final volley of compressed air at the Oppressor. At first glance, the assault was a resounding success, with the first cannon to be struck fragmenting with little ceremony, but consecutive strikes did nothing to stagger the machine. The other cannons turned on the thief, momentarily abandoning their separate targets to buffet him with a barrage of bullets from just about every possible angle. With such a close-range firing line, there was little hope of evading anything, even for one as agile as him. Such a focused assault had put him in more danger than anything else could have.
Mercy came when the other hunters joined the attack, a variety of magics assailing the machine and its on-board weapons, rending many of its components useless in a few seconds. That said, Blaise's contribution wasn't the most fortuitous, as Zidane was still easily in range of the resulting blast. Perhaps, in the heat of a battle like this, friendly fire was of little concern to one who thought so much of his profit. If the thief hadn't the vitality left to take such a spell, it would be a foul end indeed for him.
That wasn't the end, either, as Ramuh returned to the field and cast his bolt into the towering mechanical menace, finally causing it to stop in place, freezing as guns clicked on empty magazines. During a brief moment of respite, the machine seemed incapable of moving, but that didn't last long. Its eye surged back to life and, with an especially strong glow of red, the Oppressor took a lower, wider stance on its two massive legs. Steam erupted from between its plates, and a number of hatched opened atop the contraption from which several large missiles began to rise. An alarm sounded from within the metal beast as its torso slowly rotated in warning. It looked about ready to topple before, but now it looked determined to do... something. Nothing good could come of it.
