Only days had passed since he’d awoken, and already the crimson one winged angel had found his hands full. Proving his sincerity to Cloud, enduring the scrutiny of Shinra and its Turks, as well as his first encounter with off-worlders had already brought into perspective how tough of an adventure this was going to be. Of course, for an ex-SOLDIER First Class, one of the three friends aside, it was a simple enough task to endure. None of this was anything that Genesis couldn’t handle but all the same after years of degrading, entrapment, and learning he thought that perhaps he had earned some good old-fashioned R&R. The thought hadn’t occurred to him however that in order to do that he would’ve needed gil. While he could’ve easily just flown into any of the attractions he desired, Genesis had tried to be a good boy and enter through the front door like anyone else. Unfortunately, he had been turned back, for any gil he would’ve left with Shinra was long gone and he had not thought to keep any on him ever since abandoning his ‘brothers’ in DEEPGROUND to their fate. Thankfully though, fate felt it necessary to smile upon The Planet’s new hero on this day. In the crowd outside a familiar flash of red caught Genesis’s eye. He stopped dead in his tracks upon the realization that a handful of women were bearing his signature coat from before it was torn asunder in the depths of the cave he’d spent most of his time since his defeat at the hands of Zack. It seemed that even now, a decade over his supposed death, his supporters and fan clubs lived on. This alone would’ve brought a smile to the hero’s face, but the all too familiar words one of them was reciting were music to his ears. “There is no hate, only joy,” she began, only for Genesis to interrupt and continue the quote for her. After all, with their devotion, what would be better than to have his reintroduction to them? Likely nothing would make them happier than the return of the one they loved so dearly. “For you are beloved by the goddess,” pausing for dramatic effect, he watched on as the women screamed and scrambled for him. While the one holding LOVELESS latched onto him with a hug, he used his left hand to caress her cheek as his dominant arm was preoccupied with being clung to by another. “Hero of the dawn, healer of worlds.”It would be another moment before he was freed from his prison of clinging limbs, the girls releasing his legs, arm, and torso after a moment of squealing glee. Bouncing in place, their voices jumbled one another as they tried in vain to speak over one another. Raising his hands to silence them, they obediently quieted down as Genesis spoke. "Ladies, there is no need for such commotion. Just as you always knew in your hearts, I indeed am still alive. Having traversed the world and Lifestream itself for answers, I finally unraveled the mysteries of LOVELESS and received my blessed Gift of the Goddess from Minerva herself," He informed them, receiving cheers and squeaky nods as they watched him. The one with the book raised her hand to speak, and he nodded to let her. As much as he loved being the center of attention such intensive interaction was still taxing on the recluse. Ah, the paradox of wanting fame and time to yourself. “G-GenGen, Genesis sir, they’re enacting LOVELESS in the theater you just HAVE to go in and see!!" She bounced in place, eyes wide with excitement as she told him. The news made Genesis cock an eyebrow, and he smiled while she continued. "I was there opening night and it was AMAZING!! My little sister is in it and would absolutely die if you went in and watched her!!”"I would my dear, but alas it seems my years of travel have left me with naught but wisdom gained in my purse,” Genesis admitted as his gaze upon them faltered, but without missing a beat she answered him. “It would be my HONOR to pay for you Genesis!” She shouted, to with the others cheered and nodded as they scrambled for their purses. “W-we all will!” The youngest said shyly. Patting her head, Genesis smiled. "Thank you my dears, I will be sure to pay you back in kind," he assured them. "You better," the last one said with a wink, obviously wanting more than he was offering. No matter, she could dream on all she wanted. After gathering the gil from the girls, Genesis brushed his hair from his face then threw his left arm to the side as his black wing tore out from his back in a feather scattering display. The girls scrambled to catch feathers belonging to their hero, and with a wink he blew a kiss at the group before making his way to the entrance once more. Once he got the ticked and arrived in the hub of the park, with a flap of his wing he darted into the air then down towards the hole leading to the theater. Once he was there he found a seat in the back, away from the crowd that sat around the stage. Though it saddened him to see LOVELESS not as popular as it once was, it was nice to be able to have some space so he could relax and watch it on his own. With a smile on his face, his eyes fell upon the stage as the narrator began. "When the war of the beasts brings about the world's end..." A female Miqo'te with black hair stood in the main hub of the Gold Saucer, arms folded across her chest with her right foot tapping the ground impatiently. A frown was causing other much more excited visitors to avoid her, walking around her cautiously before heading on their way. The whip-like lash of her tail and the ears pressed flat against her head were giving out all the signs that she was upset. Sharp blue eyes read the names of each area over again and a lot of them were spelt right and read correctly, but the layout was wrong and this main entrance was wrong and the people visiting were wrong and the music was off, therefore, wrong. Also, an airship wasn't used to get here but some big metal box pulled by wires. How could there be 'another' Gold Saucer? Actually, -why- was there another Gold Saucer? This was the first she had ever heard of there being a second Manderville Gold Saucer opening in the deserts of Thanalan. Though she had heard of how wealthy Godbert Manderville was, so maybe this was an attempt at making more Gil? Either way, everything was wrong about this place which was causing quite a concern for the Miqo'te.
So if this ISN'T the Manderville Gold Saucer... then where exactly am I?, the female feline thought to herself as she finally stopped tapping her foot on the floor and turned her head to watch as some other visitors jumped into one of the weird colourful tube things and vanished to another area of the Saucer. Kira's ears perked upright and she turned her entire body to face the tube the family disappeared down. Curiosity swelled up within her. That kinda looked fun. Before she had a chance to move though, a voice broke out over the speakers announcing something about a LOVELESS perform beginning in a few minutes. The Miqo'te blinked as she looked up to see where the voice was coming from, then glanced down to see more people jumping into the Event Square tube over the other ones. Wait, she'd seen this sort of this before! This is what happened when a G.A.T.E started, right? So that 'LOVELESS' thing must be one of those. This could be a good chance to earn some Manderville Gold Saucer Points. ”Ohh! Maybe they have some rare cards here?!”, she spoke aloud, almost sounding excited. Almost.
Jogging over to the Event Square tube, the Miqo'te peered down inside, an index finger pressed gently into her lips that was nibbled on slightly. So you just jump in and that's it? With a shrug of her shoulders, she took hold of the scabbard hanging from her belt and leapt into the tube, immediately being taken on a journey through the Gold Saucer. Soon enough, she emerged at the other end, getting literally thrown out the tube. Flicking her tail and spreading her arms, the black-haired female landed upon her feet, a few steps taken to keep her balance before coming to a stop and returning to a neutral stance. Peering to her right, she noticed a large stage with several rows of seating, a decent sized gathering of souls seated close to the stage with a few stragglers sitting further back. Wait, this was different to the G.A.T.E.'s she joined. Why was everyone sitting down? Normally you had to copy another persons actions or run around to find the Imp pretending to be someone else. Frowning, she walked over to the back row of seats and remained standing, arms folded back across her chest as her tail slowly flicked from side to side.
Might as well wait and see... I'd hate to miss out on some MGP..., she thought to herself, taking a moment to look around the large room. It was sort of like a theatre, with the stage at the far end, the long draping curtain and the slight curve in the rows of seats. If all she had to do to get some MGP was stand here and watch a performance, then that would be easy enough. Something caught her attention though. Not visually at first, but... well, someone or something within this room had a powerful aether to them. Powerful enough that she was able to pinpoint the individual pretty quickly. It belonged to some stranger in a red coat with similar coloured hair, sitting near the back of the room. Not terribly far away from her actually. She hadn't felt anything like -this- before, at least not from the last time she was in the same area as the Warrior of Light and that Xenos person.

At first oblivious to the arrival of the Miqo’te, Genesis instead found himself struggling to keep from mouthing the words of the play as they rang pleasantly across the audience. Having dismissed his wing to lessen prying eyes and quite frankly make the seat more comfortable to sit in, the ginger spread his arms along the tops of the two empty seats beside him. No point in keeping himself from feeling comfortable, this was his day off after all. Honestly there was little that could relax him more than LOVELESS, and while he had expected to have to play games on this day he found it incredibly lucky to have this opportunity. While it was likely not to be of the impeccable standard one would find on LOVELESS Avenue, this rendition would still yield plenty of fun for the ex-SOLDIER.
It wasn’t until he’d felt the eyes upon him that Genesis would tear his gaze from the prologue taking place on stage to the oddly dressed cat woman that stood there gawking at him. She certainly wasn’t a fan of his, not with that cold of a look, but he doubted she had affiliation with Shinra. The costume was the first clue, with the ears and… Flicking tail? His first thought was perhaps this was some sort of Cait Sith, but no her subtle movements were far too articulate and besides her attire wasn’t trying to catch attention or even really blend in. No, she was likely another off worlder like that winged woman outside of Midgar. The fact that not one but two races looked so close to humans was starting, though not impossible he supposed. Honestly, he’d expected more akin to monsters to arrive, but here this young woman was proving his assumptions incorrect.
While his Mako eyes glowed in the low light of the room offstage, he did little more than offer her a smile and nod for now. Who was he to rob her the glory of words that was LOVELESS? This wouldn’t keep him from keeping her in his line of sight however, even when his gaze returned forward he ensured his head was turned enough to see her out the corner of his eye. Should she try something fishy he’d quickly put a stop to it so that the show could go on, and any unprovoked attacks would surely be pinned on him by Cloud or whatever Turk was likely lurking nearby to spy on his whereabouts. For now he would wait, and see how things would play out for now. Enjoy the show, and approach amicably afterwards. There’d be time to figure out her motives once LOVELESS was over.
Before them as the voice of the narrator faded and the opening lines of the play began, with the stage curtain parting to reveal the scene of the three friends laughing as they sparred together. Oh, how this reminded Genesis of that fateful day in the training room. It was a bittersweet memory to be sure, but oh how he missed just spending time with Angeal and Sephiroth back when things were so much simpler for them in their ignorance. He could almost see the three of them on stage instead of the knights in shining armor that represented the characters here…

The Miqo'te's eyes narrowed sharply when watching the auburn-haired stranger turn and look her way and he wasn't simply looking around either. No, he looked -right- at her. That only added to the cat-eared woman's assumption that this stranger was powerful. She didn't move aside from her left hand subtly raising and resting upon the hilt of her blade. That glow in his eyes, the aether that seemed to erupt from him like a spewing volcano, this guy was both strong and dangerous and it only intrigued the Miqo'te further. She wondered how she'd fare in a fight with this guy. She couldn't see any weapons on him, but he was sitting down so perhaps it was simply out of sight. Either that or he used magic. Magic? Red clothes? Where'd she seen something like that before? The offered smile was answered with an even sterner glare, her face scrunching up slightly and her hand resting on her blade's hilt had shifted to grip the scabbard.
The voice of the narrator over on the stage was enough to distract the Miqo'te when the man in red finally looked away. She had to remind herself that she was in the not-Manderville Gold Saucer and she'd have to behave if she wanted to earn any MGP. As such, she took a deep breath in through her nose, held it for a moment, then relaxed. She felt the tension in her shoulders ease off, her arms relaxing and she even managed to let go of her weapon where upon she decided to fold her arms across her chest to keep them out the way. Her eyes focused on the stage, watching the narrator exit and the curtains opening up to reveal painted scenery and souls dressed up in costume. Hang on a second, she knew this. There was a group who used an airship to travel the world performing various theatrical acts. She could have sworn she saw them moored over the city of Kugane in Othard. Funny, when did they build a second Gold Saucer in Othard? A lot of the souls she passed back up in the main entrance and from those who sat gathered around the front of the stage, none of them wore traditional Kugane attire.
Kira started to tap her foot on the floor as her mind started to wonder. She was too far away for the performers or viewers close to the stage to hear her, but the stranger in red probably could. This doesn't make any sense... Am I still dreaming? Why hasn't Genesis woke me up?, the Miqo'te thought to herself. Frowning, she looked down to the blade sheathed at her side. Gripping the handle, she pulled the weapon out a couple of inches where she pressed her thumb against the sharp edge. Sheathing her blade with a click, she pulled her hand up to her face and rolled her palm over, her eyes squinting at the few drops of blood that trickled from the fresh cut she just made. So I'm not dreaming... I felt that. Perhaps that Hyur in red can answer some questions?, she pondered, her right hand clenching about her left thumb to stop the bleeding as her eyes shifted back over to the auburn-haired Hyur. It looked like he was really enjoying the performance being acted on stage. She grumbled and folded her arms back across her chest. Well, maybe she can wait for this G.A.T.E to finish first...

Unbothered by her touching her hilt, he'd continued to watch the play before them. She was likely being defensive, after all he was an ex-SOLDIER First Class and his eyes did have that dangerous glow off worlders would know little about unless they'd ran into Cloud or Sephiroth themselves. This was further evident when her hand moved to the scabbard, she was unlikely to be preparing an attack from that pose. For one reason or another she was unhappy though, if she just sat down to relax and watch the performance she'd be much better off.
Her annoyance soon shifted to the redhead, his eye twitching at the sound of her foot repeatedly tapping against the floor. How positively disrespectful that was, did she not see the beauty in the art that was unraveling before them? Granted she was quiet enough that few beyond him could hear it, but showing such signs of boredom was unprofessional and did little to garner his respect. Those who lacked respect for such things were likely uneducated, so he'd need to ensure his elegance was toned down a bit so her brain could understand. The clicking of her knife was the breaking point for Genesis's patience. Turning his head to glare at the woman, he brought up an index finger to his mouth.
"Shhh!!" his voice was quiet enough to not disturb the audience as a whole, but loud enough to catch the woman's attention. She was more than welcome to enjoy the performance in any way she desired, so long as it didn't take away from the experience of others. Turning his gaze forward once more he readjusted himself in the seat to get comfortable again, glancing down to ensure Rapier was still at his side against the chair and out of sight of the onlooker. Eyes back on stage, and the cat woman within his line of sight, he returned to the escape that lay before him.
The three friends had their spar interrupted, as the time for battle had called. Just like had come for them, when they were to lead regiments against Wutai. Sephiroth of course would earn all the glory with those missions, since he and Angeal both deserted SOLDIER around the time of the war. This made him sigh a little, for he knew all too well what was coming next: the separation of the friends. While Sephiroth deviated from the course of hero to leave Zack taking the roll in his stead, Angeal fled the battle while he himself had become a prisoner of the degradation who'd lost his SOLDIER honor. That was what to be the fate of these three, with the prisoner and wanderer fighting before the hero swoops in to claim victory over the enemy and give his friends the gift of the goddess.

Who were these stupidly dressed people over at the far end of the room? They spoke loudly and slowly as if trying to be clear and precise with their words. What was the point in that? Were they going to pause at some point and the audience had to recite the next set of words? Would that be how MGP was earned during this event? If so, then Kira had no chance of earning anything. She didn't know what was going on, what this performance was supposed to be and certainly didn't know the next line that was to be spoken. Her gaze shifted to her right and she noticed the stranger in red mouthing along to the performance, her stare shifting to a frown. He seemed to know what was going on though he wasn't speaking loud enough for anyone to hear him. Taking her eyes off him, she started to look around the theatre for any signs or clues or devices that might be used to pick up the lines people spoke. How would the G.A.T.E organizers know who spoke the right words? Though after a moment scanning the room, she didn't see anything that would back up this theory.
The sound of someone shushing her caused her eyes to snap back to the stranger in red, her brow tightening as a sharp glare was sent his way. There was no one else as close to her as he was, so no one else could have made that noise. Also, the fact that he was looking at her just solidified the fact he was telling her to shut up. What was that for? She wasn't saying anything, though she then did glance down at her foot, noticing it was still tapping and continue to tap it did, albeit more frustrated now. Her fingers gripped her arms as she kept them folded across her chest, her ears flattening slightly and her stare staying locked onto the stranger in red. This guy felt weird and it was starting to bother her. ”Shush yourself, asshole. I'm not doing anything.”, she said with a snarl in her tone as she kept her eyes on the stranger. Sounds of combat from the stage caused her to look back in that direction and she watched with a judgemental and disappointed flash in her eyes at how badly the three 'knights' on stage sparred together. Their movements were sloppy, their footwork abysmal and there was no power or determination in their swings. Granted this was probably for the benefit of the audience, but at least -try- to make it realistic.
Glancing behind herself, she eyed the weird tube things that lead back to the main hub and other areas of the Gold Saucer and read off some of the area names. Ghost Square? Speed Square? What were these supposed to be? There weren't any places like this in the Manderville Gold Saucer but before she could start to think further on where she could currently be, the sight of Battle Square and Chocobo Square did pique her interest. ”Maybe Rapier is here?”, she mumbled aloud to herself, her right hand rising from her folded arms to tap at her chin a couple of times. This wasn't her travelling chocobo but instead was her racing chocobo and any chocobo right now would be better then no chocobo. Hm, but would he be ready for adventuring? She'd need to train and teach him but wouldn't that make him a less effective racing chocobo? Frowning and grumbling to herself, she turned back around and set her eyes on the stage, watching as the performers moved about, spoke their lines and continued telling their story. ”... I'll find you Genesis... I'll find you...”.

Well it certainly seemed that ending this without a scene was dwindling in its chances as every moment marched forward. Instead of listening to the auburn man or turning heel to a part of the expansive amusement part that would better peak her interest the cat woman angrily retorted and cursed, judgmentally glaring around before mumbling to herself as she looked towards the exit. With her head turned he could hardly read her lips, only able to make our pier initially with her voice inaudible from the voices that boomed around them from the front of the theater. Just what was going on with her, and why was she being so rude to those around her? There wasn’t a pier near here this was the center of a desert, and he doubted the actors and audience had collectively earned this treatment. Whoever this was needed a lesson in manners, and he’d no longer tolerate this complete lack of respect to the masterpiece.
As he stood up however, grasping the handle of Rapier so the blade would point backwards passed his hip as if it were sheathed, the words that left her mouth were abundantly clear to him: “…Genesis... I'll find you...” Narrowing his eyes, he took several steps towards the woman while ensuring there was a good meter between them should she strike at him for his approach and earn a response from the one winged angel. She’d find him? Perhaps she was speaking of someone else, but to be looking for a Genesis at a performance of LOVELESS was either the largest coincidence in the universe or she was specifically looking for him. After all his love of the story was well documented and keeping an eye on such performances rare as they were becoming was the perfect place to try and track him down. The question was though how would someone from another world know who he was, and why would they be looking for him in the first place? Having escaped the seats to stop near her and the exit, he cocked an eyebrow at the raven-haired cat as he quietly spoke.
“Knowing no other Genesis than myself, I stand before you to put an end to your search. Though had you wanted to start on the best of terms, disrespecting the story which I am known to love was not the way to my heart,” Lifting his head a little, his eyebrow returned to its furrowed position as his mako eyes fell into her deep sapphire, “Though I know not why one of another world with such an attitude would want an audience with this world’s hero, outside an ill fated plot to cast him aside for their own wicked plans.”

Kira brought a hand to her mouth and covered up a yawn as best she could. This was boring and she were about to turn around and leave when movement from the stranger in red caught her attention. She lowers her hands from across her chest and propped them on her hips instead, frowning as she watched the auburn-haired man approach her, blade held at his side. While the stranger didn't hold the blade in any sort of threatening manner, the fact that he -had- a blade to hand was cause enough for the miqo'te to put herself on guard... well, more on guard. Still, there was a performance of sorts happening nearby and combat wasn't allowed anywhere within the Manderville Gold Saucer, except for those punching machine things, so it would be unlikely that this weirdo in red would try anything. Kira would half admit that he looked a little tough, but probably wasn't anything to cause her to build up a sweat. The miqo'te just frowned as the stranger stopped close to her and begun to speak, her frown shifting to confusion, then shifting again to wondering if this fellow had gone completely insane.
”... Go away.”, was the strangers answer. She didn't flinch, didn't look intimidated and certainly didn't move from her position. His eyes seemed to glow but that wasn't something strange to her. Creatures and monsters in the wilds had eyes that glowed in the dark. Actually made hunting them a bit easier if you knew what to look out for. Still, glowing eyes in a Hyur? That was probably a first now that she thought more on it, but she mentally shrugged her shoulders at the thought and kept her stare locked on the strangers eyes. So he was called Genesis? Fancy that, but this fool certainly wasn't a chocobo and so was certainly not who she was looking for. Another world? So it must be true then if both this stranger and the Gnome she met with the red-haired mage had said the same thing. So, this was a different world to the one she met the Gnome and Mage on? But there was a Gold Saucer here... but this stranger wasn't from Hydaelyn? So... she wasn't in Eorzea? Tch, well no wonder this place felt different.
”... I don't care what you think, just get out my face so I can watch the rest of this stupid performance thing and get my MGP. Unless you want a bloody nose then you just keep on standing right there.”, her tone wasn't friendly much the same as the glare in her eyes. With her hands on her hips, she didn't move and was feeling 'generous' enough to give this fool a chance to back down before she started swinging. But then she remembered him saying something about 'a different world'. She frowned harder and grumbled, wondering if there wasn't any MGP to be earned here at all and she was simply wasting her time when she could be searching for Genesis. Though now she had this idiot to deal with if he didn't get out her face real quick.
