The rogue wasn't one to think too deeply on the actions of others. He sure didn't put too much thought into much of what he did, which sometimes was the problem. He could be a little reckless and sometimes inconsiderate, but he always meant well. That was half of the problem. The other half was how easily he accepted strangers. It wasn't as if he was an idiot and would trust them with his first born...
His tail suddenly puffed up at his thought.
And now he lost his thoughts. Where was he? He moved to climb onto the stone arch and walk across the main street. It seemed the guards patrol had done to clear out any vagrants and only a few madams. Hopping onto the other roof his tail would smooth out, turning on his heel to make sure the other two made it across well enough. Zidane nodded, agreeing with the woman.
"She's right, you know? Magic is always there inside of someone. Sometimes it takes something big to pull it out and I'd say nearly getting yer face smashed by a mug'll do it." He'd nod, arms crossed in a sagely manner, as if he had any inkling of magic.
If one gazed the surface of his existence he did not appear to have a spec of magic from the top of his head, to the tip of his tail, but looks were mayhaps the most deceptive of them all, especially with an individual like Zidane. A smooth talking rogue with a propensity for getting into trouble. The ease in which he stole away from the coming guards and meandered across the rooftops along well known paths... Though it all seemed circumstantial events. He was quite good at weaving these incidents into casual passings because for a thief like him they were all ordinary dealings.
Zidane did notice something was bothering Akemi, but it had been a long night. He'd sure be kicking himself for having missed out a good meal. But there was a lot more going on. The rogue shrugged and jumped to the end of the roof he had skipped on. Below a pair of eyes watched the rogue and company approach before disappearing into the shadows. Zidane's blue eyes dipped down a moment, having caught movement, but nothing more.
"This way!" He beckoned before dropping down on some stacked boxes near and by and finally onto the alley floor.
The alley was bare, save a few empty and abandoned crates nearby which had been once filled with supplies for the theater and were scheduled to be picked up later and cleared out, most like by Tantalus boys as Ruby had a way of getting the lot to be her muscle. The theater was parked down a few steps, beneath a larger establishment that seemed to be the local hotel! Upon entering Zidane hailed down the blue-haired matron of the establishment.
"Hey Ruby, think we can get a few drinks and something to eat?" He motioned back to the door, waiting for the other two to enter. "Got some friends that need to relax.""Relax, huh? Well sure darlin' just seat on up, ah'll be right with ya'll!" As spirited as ever with her thick, rural accent.Zidane would find a table for them, the stage getting swept up but a tough looking thug, wearing no shirt. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Kira was honestly surprised that the red-head listened to her. She could see the fear in his eyes, especially when they met hers. He was scared of her and the Miqo'te didn't much care. As soon as she got what she wanted from the newly found mage, she'd be on her way and wouldn't think twice about meeting him again, unless fate decided otherwise. A lot of things felt out of her control recently and that wasn't something she was used too. Still, she'd get by, one way or another. Hearing the mage give his thanks caused the black-haired cat-girl to look back over her shoulder, staring at the youth with piercing eyes. She frowned and shook her head from side to side. ”Don't thank me. Just do better. It's pitiful to see someone with potential act so weak.”, she growled. Kira was ever the flipping coin, sometimes showing concern and having good intentions, other times the complete opposite. What was odd was she didn't seem to be aware she was doing it, thinking both harsh and kinds words meant one in the same thing. Her eyes shifted to the Genome as he chimed in, agreeing with her.
Frowning more, Kira shrugged her shoulders subtly. Aether was inside of everyone and everything... Though whether the Genome or the Mage called it by another name, she didn't know, but Aether was the source of everything, or so she was led to believe. Studying the young-looking blonde, he had a strong and determined Aether, mischievous and playful at the same time. No hints of magic though, but mind you Kira wasn't the best at telling differences in the subtle details. She mostly just used this ability to tell where a soul was standing and figure out some basic traits of their personality, but this wasn't always 100% accurate. Hearing something from behind her, the Miqo'te looked back over her shoulder and eyed the red-head, her ears twitching subtly as she narrowed her stare on him. ”You say something?”, she asked as she twisted her hips slightly to get a better look at the kid following both her and the blonde. Her tail flicked from side to side cautiously as she kept her eyes on the mage. ”... What's wrong with your head?”, she continued after a short pause, noticing him holding a hand to head.
Another sound caught her attention, this time pulling her gaze down into the shadows of the street beneath them. She saw nothing noteworthy though and glanced up to see the Genome had possibly heard the same thing. Either way she brushed off whatever it was and stepped onto the stone archway, walking across it and looking back to the blonde in blue as he climbed down the stacked crates to reach the alley floor. Deciding it was too much hassle to finish crossing the archway and climb down the boxes, Kira turned and just stepped off the edge of the arch, falling to the alley below where she landed softly in a low crouch, her tail flicking out behind her to help keep balance. She then stood upright and folded her arms across her chest, first glancing at the Genome before peering up at the red-head and waiting for him to get down. Then she proceeded down the stone steps to reach the theatre entrance. There was a very... 'unique' smell to this place. Not a bad one by any means. Kira's ears rotated on her head in every direction as her eyes glanced all around the room. It seemed safe and secure enough and when she was satisfied she made her way over to the table the Genome had scouted out. Using her tail to pull a stool under her rump, she sat down and curled her tail about her waist like a furry belt, her eyes on the tough-looking thug sweeping up.

Akemi's eyes looked over toward Kira was he noticed that she had picked up that he was talking to himself. She gazed at him with caution and honestly, he made him really nervous. She seemed like the type of person to snap at the smallest thing so he decided to play it safe. "N-Nothing, just I got this headache and wishing it would go away." He replied with a short nervous chuckle that soon followed.
The boy knew if he were to say that he had a voice in his head that they migt think he was insane or something. And right now, that was something he didn't need. He was alone in this strange new world and the only people helping him were these two. Akemi couldn't chance anything right now. His teal hues did noticed that everyone was looking off to round below for a quick moment. Turning his gaze to meet their's, he saw nothing but shadow and the outline of boxes and wooden scraps. Maybe it was just a rat or something?
Shrugging it off, Akemi jumped down after Zidane slowly as Kira stood behind them. The boy was honestly too afraid to even look back at her because he felt that she would most likely question him tensely. Following Zidane to the stairs that led to the theater, he saw something in the corner of his right eye. Quickly turning his head, all he saw was just darkness again. Was that the thing that set off the others? Not wanting to think much into it, Akemi quickened his pace to catch up with his guide. Inside the theater was that of a small bar with a stage. There were plenty of wooden tables with small glass lanterns with chairs circling around each one. The place only had a few people in it including the three of them. Maybe they were workers?
Akemi sat down at the table Zidane had chose and looked at the stage once more. In the corner, he noticed a small section that had instruments. His eyes quickly homed in on the violin that rested on one of the stools. A smile soon formed on his face. Turning to face the others, he gently brushed back a few locks of hair out of his face. "So...now that we have escaped having to stay the night in this kingdom's jail, I have to know...Where are we?" He asked as he looked to Zidane. Hopefully, he would have some answers to where and what this world was.

The mini-theater, named so as it was below the Alexandria largest hostel and was put to shame by the size of Prima Vista's stage and many other theater ships to date. The stage was reasonably sized, but it could only hold a humbly sized company. The bar was fully stocked and the kitchen always smelling of a homecooked meal. Ashley, a rather rough looking miscreant was the head tender and he kept everything nice and clean. Despite his gruff, outward appearance Ashley was a big help to Ruby, who had given him a more relaxed position after he sold the pub to a new owner. One could suppose the thug wanted something a bit simpler. The lights were dim, promoting a relaxed atmosphere and an older fellow, a musician part of Baku's troupe, played the accordion while another fellow keyed the piano in a gentle melody.
Zidane leaned back in his chair, tail curling back as if to act as an anchor with out it pressed to the ground, but there was no way the limb was that strong, but that meant the rogue had impeccable balance as he kicked a boot up on the table. "Nothing a few drinks won't cure!" Or make worse.
Ruby arrived with the tray of drinks and would smack Zidane's leg. "Confoundit Zidane! Keep yer feet off'a table! Landsake ye've the manner's ah a barn cat!" She'd smile to the other two. "Hope he ain't leadin' ya'll inta any trouble. If'n ye need anything ya'll jus lemme know, awright?" She winked, leaning forward to set the mugs down as her coreet did little two dam back her assets.
Zidane scoffed and sat up properly, rubbing at his leg before he took his drink. The Cowgirl headed back to the bar to chat it up with Ashley. Zidane raised the mug to his mouth and took a long drink "Aaahhh Ruby always has the best drinks!" He'd praise before looking to them. "Oh, right, you said you weren't from around here, right?" A few bodies shuffled in, a rougher looking crowd, but otherwise quiet as no one with sense started a fight in Ruby's mini-theater what with having friends in high places and a rough right hook herself. "Like, where are you from?" MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

The sound of music was making Kira's ears twitch and turn about her head as she was focusing on all the different sounds going on around her. The gentle clink of bottles and scrape of wooden tankards, the pressing of piano keys and the squeeze of the accordion, the muffed footsteps from overhead. There seemed to be only one way in and out of this place which was the steps the three of them had walked down but a moment ago. However, the Miqo'te turned her eyes to the blonde and she watched him with a calculating stare. If he knew his way out of the tavern's upper floor to the reach the rooftops, then there was bound to be a secret exit around here somewhere. Not that she planned to cut lose and run. No, this place seemed safe and friendly enough, though she cared little for the latter. The female's eyes shifted to Akemi as he sat and asked the Genome where they were. Yes, this was something she was keen on learning too. Yet the conversation didn't proceed as a woman walked over with a blue bandanna around her head and a top that barely held anything in place.
Kira perked an eyebrow at her attire, accent and the drinks that were placed down. She sure seemed confident and the Miqo'te made a mental note to remember that offer she just made. Anything, huh? Staying quiet for now, the cat-eared swordswoman reached for a tankard and pulled it towards her. She raised it to her nose and took a couple of sniffs of the liquor. Whatever this was, it wasn't something she recognized. The Genome chugged away though so it was probably safe to drink. Shrugging her shoulders, she too brought the tankard to her lips and swigged it down heartily. Fully. The hollow thunk of her mug hitting the table echoed softly around the room as she brought her forearm across her lips to clean herself up. She sniffed and wrinkled her nose as if to scratch an itch without using her fingers. ”... I've had better.”, Kira spoke up with a grunt in her throat, her eyes showing she was unimpressed. Zidane spoke up again and seemed to be looking for confirmation that neither her nor the red-head were from around here. While this was true, Kira didn't answer, but perhaps that was enough of an answer for the chap with a tail.
The liquor in her belly made said organ groan and grumble. Looking down at herself with a frown, Kira pat her stomach a couple of times and looked up and over to the bar where Ruby and the thug were. ”Ruby, was it?”, Kira called out as she sat slightly more upright to try and make herself taller and more noticable. She wasn't particularly tall, only standing around 5 feet 6 inches, but for a female Miqo'te, that was pretty tall. ”... you got anything to eat?”. That was Kira's primary goal when first entering the tavern where the fight broke out. Well no, she thought about eating before the sounds of a fight distracted her. But feeding was definitely something she needed to do before inquiring about her chocobo and resuming her search for him. Though she didn't want to butt into the Genome and Mage's conversation just yet, thus she sat and watched them silently, listening to what they had to tell each other.

Akemi just watched as the Gnome started to relax and goofy off as the boy asked his question. His eyes blinked slowly as he was wondering if he acted this carefree all the time. Two random strangers came out of nowhere and this guy is treating them to drink and food. He wasn’t judging his character or anything, just found it strange how he could just trust so easily. His teal hues wondered over to the lady known as Ruby. She was small in stature but she didn’t waste any time in scolding Zidane was leaning back in her chairs like a third grader in the back of the class. A small smile formed on his face as he thanked her silently as he set down a mug in front of him.
Sniffing the contents of the mug, he couldn’t tell if that the liquid was some form of liquor or local drink. Before he could even thinking about drinking it, Kira gulped hers down like it was water and slammed her mug down. Akemi jumped a bit at the thud while his hair stood up a bit. Geez, was Akemi the only person here with table manners? The boy took a sip of the drink as he was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t liquor but something sweet. The boy hadn’t had liquor before and mixing that with his current situation wouldn’t have been the best idea. His ears twitched a bit as Kira asked Ruby about some food. Food… He hadn’t eaten in hours and the thought of it made his stomach rubble loudly.
A soft blush formed on his cheeks as he looked over to Ruby. ”W-Would be okay if I something to eat as well?” He asked kindly. He wondered for a moment what kind of food they had here. Would it be like the food he was used to back his city of Novos? But thinking about it now, anything would be good since he lived in the lower district where everything was low quality. Blinking a bit, his eyes homed in on the locks of hair the rested in front of his face. Instantly he knew that his hair was coming undone from his braided ponytail. Reaching back, Akemi pulled his crimson lock over the front of his shoulder to inspect it. It was indeed unraveling and needed to be mended. Using muscle memory at this point, the boy untied his hair and began to loosen his mane.
Looking over to Zidane, he finally decided to answer his question but sadly only with another one. Mentally sighing, he continued to slowly braid his hair. ”I come a kingdom known as Novos, it’s one of the largest capitals in all of Halure… “ Akemi explained while never breaking eye contact with Zidane, ”Its a great city, filled with amazing and rich history along with beautiful palace surround by gardens and fountains. However its divided into two districts, the upper district and the lower district. The upper district houses the nobles and people with the coin to live a much easier life while the lower district is the complete opposite and that’s where I live.”
The boy added, not giving much detail on the poor part of town where he lived. He finished his braid in no time at all as he began to tie it back. ”I had read ever book I came across back home, gazed at the moon and stars every night, and heard so many tales from passing travelers; however never once have I heard of a place like this let alone see two different colored moons in the night sky…So either this is a bad dream, which I hope it is, or…I’m really not back on Halure…”The boy played with the end of his ponytail as he looked down at his drink. In the back of his mind, he knew this wasn’t a dream but boy did he wish it was.

Zidane winced at the cat's comment, nearly choking on his drink as he glanced back to the bar where Ruby was working. The proprietress bristled a bit at the comment on her liquor, hastily wiping down a glass lest she toss it. Girl was new, didn't know her place is all. Chuckling nervously the thief finished his drink with no complaints. He was hardly a model citizen, but neither was he a wanton madman that would fuel the maiden's ire. Ruby put on a glittering smile and motioned her hand."Sure darlin's, ah'll whip up a bit a chow!" She set off, leaving Zidane to slump over a bit."Make sure to check your food before you eat it." he whispered lowly, warning the Miqo'te. He grinned, Akemi seeming to take the drink in stride. Ruby wasn't one to serve anyone she thought was a bit underage. She said it was a woman's instinct. He knew better than to question it. Zidane was all smiles as he leaned back in his seat again as soon as Ruby was out of sight. His right leg crossed over his left knee, his hand grabbing onto his ankle as his tail swayed behind him. The lean of his chair gave a little creak as the weight on the old, plank floors shifted slightly. "Our world has two moons." he motioned. "I've seen some without any." he affirmed. "You're pretty far from home. I haven't heard of any stars nearby called Halure..." He shrugged. "This is the Kingdom of Alexandria, on Gaia." He rubbed the back of his head. "Doctor Tot would get a kick out of some off worlders. You're like the second I've seen in over a year." He wondered how many of them came here, confused and lost with no way of getting back home, or no one to tell without fear of being looked at funny...
Zidane reached up to grab the edge of the table, sitting straight in a hurry as the click clack of Ruby's heels crossed from the kitchen and back to their table. A platter of some simple, yet filling meals were laid out. Some mashed potatoes with some left over stew with day old bread, and some grey stuff. Don't ask, it was delicious. Zidane grinned up at Ruby and grabbed one of pieces of sliced bread and popped it in his mouth as he thought.
"What about you?" The cat seemed awful quiet. "You two got a reason a being here or just caught up in some weird stuff?" Zidanre wans't one to pry but it was perhaps better to understand if they were here with a purpose or just plain lost. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Leaning forth to rest her left elbow on the edge of the wooden table, a subtle creak coming from both her chair and the object she leaned on from her movement. The Miqo'te then propped her chin on her left palm and looked over at the Genome as she thought she heard him make a noise before watching him chuckle, apparently nervously. Kira's bright blue eyes were hard and cold, the eyes of a warrior, the eyes of someone who had experienced fear and stared it down. Her eyes told stories, revealed that she had seen some serious shit in her time. Don't expect her to speak of said stories were one to ask, mind. The reply from Ruby made the Miqo'te peer back towards the bar, a slow blink being her answer to Ruby's smile. Her eyes flicked back to the Genome as he addressed her, the rest of her body remaining motionless. ”.....” Kira made no comment. She'd eaten her fair share of foul things on her travels and it seemed unlikely that the owner of a place like this would poison her patrons. That would be bad for business, no?
As the red-head began to speak up, Kira shifted her stare off the blonde in blue and looked at Akemi. He begun to speak about being from a place she'd never heard of by name, though his description of the place was very familiar. ”... That sounds a lot like Ishgard, though you don't appear Elezen.”, she spoke up suddenly, shifting her weight to tilt her body off to her side to try get a better look at the red-head's ears, though couldn't see anything behind all that hair. Straightening up, Kira frowned at his next set of words. That was a good point... back up on the rooftops she most certainly did see two moons in the sky; one red and one blue. There were definitely not two moons in the night sky in Eorzea and the same could be said for the night sky in Othard. Frowning and appearing to fall into deep thought, Kira pushed herself up off the table and folded her arms across her chest, the sound of one of her boots gently tapping against the wooden floor repeatedly under the table.
As the Genome spoke up and begun to explain things, Kira visually grew more and more aggravated, though this might have just been a front as her eyes told a different story. She was concerned, perhaps even worried. With a blink of her eyes, her apparent unease vanished. ”.....” Kira once more fell into silence and simply listened to what the blonde in blue had to say. This was a lot to take in but her thoughts and thinking were quickly distracted by the arriving food. With eyes locked on the meal, Kira didn't bother to check for any harmful substances. She was hungry and her stomach could probably handle this world's poisons. This world's...?, she repeated in her mind. That thought made her frown and she started to eat through the platter with an angry scowl on her face, not bothering to wait for Akemi or the Genome. Another world... How could this have happened?, she thought to herself as she went to grab a handful of the mashed potatoes, then remembered she was sharing this with the other two. Grumbling, she snatched a spoon from the table and scooped a dollop of spuds onto a slice of bread, which was swiftly devoured. Oh... that tastes like popotos., she mused to herself as her expression softened.
When the Genome addressed her, the female Miqo'te managed to lift her eyes off her meal and lock sights with the blonde in blue where she frowned at him and swallowed the mouthful of food she had been chewing through. ”.....” She was silent and looked back at the platter before her shoulders slumped and she shook her head from side to side subtly. Almost immediately after her shoulders tensed again and her guard was well and truly raised once more. ”... I'm from Eorzea. I thought I was already on Eorzea... though the two moons now tells me I am not... and I don't know how I got here...”, she finally answers before grabbing another slice of bread and dunking it in the stew, letting the bread soak up some of the liquids as well as acting as a spoon to gather up some of the meat and vegetables. Like before, the slice of bread was consumed quickly. ”... My original reason for 'being here' was to look for my chocobo, but now I guess that's changed to finding my way home...”, she says before trailing off and shaking her head from side to side though continues a moment later. ”... Though I don't know how this has happened.”

Akemi’s heart dropped the moment he heard Zidane speak. So it was true. The boy was for sure on a different world. As low as the chances were, he had just wished he was just in a new region of his world but now he knew that wasn’t the case. In the back of his mind, he was hoping that he was wrong but he had to face facts now. The boy wasn’t in Halure anymore. He found himself on a world named Gaia in the Kingdom of Alexandria. Which both names were completely foreign to him. Akemi let out a low sigh as he leaned back into his chair.
The lady named Ruby came by and dropped off some food for them. He nodded and smiled to her as Zidane and Kira jumped right into the food. Maybe he was the only one with manners after all. Zidane spoke to Kira as she stopped for a moment from eating before speaking. Akemi used this moment to quickly scoop up some of the mash potatoes with the stew and was able to snag the last piece of bread. However, the grey stuff kind of made him doubt that it was delicious thought he could ask the dishes. The boy slowly sampled the food as Kira explained her side of things. The season in the mash was good but that stew was so good. He could taste the balance of spice, meat, and veggies all in the broth alone.
Akemi tried his best to pay attention to Kira as she spoke while trying to eat at the same time. It was a kind of hard but it was manageable. He hadn’t eaten in hours and he had to get something in him. As he began to nibble on the bread, he realized that Kira was also lost as fell. She was from somewhere called Eorzea, which again was a place he had never heard of before. However, he tilted his head sideways when she spoke of a chocobo. What was a chocobo? Was it like a pet or a horse? It sounded weird but who was he to judge? Taking a sip of his drink to wash down the meal, he softly set the mug back down.
His teal eyes glanced over to Zidane as he asked why we came here. Softly sighing, he figured it was his turn to explain himself. ”Well…my kingdom was attacked. There was this weird thunderstorm that rolled in at night. I had awaked from a bad dream when I heard screaming. These weird monsters were attacking people. They were black as the abyss with bright yellow eyes.” He explained, ”I tried to help but…something happened. They attacked me but I blacked out and the next thing I knew, I was swallowed by the darkness. When I came to I was in this dark place and was chanced by the monsters again. I saw a light close by so I ran to it and well…here I am…” Akemi tried his best to remember what had happened during his blackout but nothing would come to him. Whatever it was, maybe it was best to leave it alone. At least, for now.

Zidane took a bit of stew in a bowl, the half eaten piece of bread hanging from his lips. The rouge would sit back, gloved hand reaching up to retrieve the bread as his jaws parted at the woman's queer comment. What was an Elezen, something from her world? Like a people? He dunked his bread into the stew to soak up the savory juices, gaze drifting to Akemi. They had scores of races on this planet. He wondered if it had something to do with Terra's meddling or it was just the natural course of such exhausting trials to just survive on a planet full of Mist! He tilted his head before shoveling the gooey bred in his mouth, taking a spoon to scoop up mouthful after mouthful of stew. After so many drinks he was hungry! The tailed thief had put away quite a bit of food as he listened to the pair. Bodies moved in and out of the theater. Though not booming with activity by any standard, it was quite busy given it was nearly the witching hours. The crowd was mixed between rather average looking citizens who were simply out late and the more questionable crowd that hung in the back. Two particular figures settled in their seats, quickly attended to by Ashley. The former owner of the pub they had fled from. Zidane felt for Akemi. He remembered how it was when he found himself unable to make it home. "Well at least you gave it your best." Zidane praised. "Sometimes it's hard to know if what you're doing is right, and sometimes you mess up. But it's always best to get back up on the Chocobo and give it another go." With that he looked to the Miqo'te. "Hey I know a guy who makes friends with lost and run'away Chocobos. I bet he'd know something about your guy."Zidane let out a sharp shout when a hand came down on the back of his head. he lurched forward, face turning sour. "What the fu---" When he whipped around to face his assailant it was Ruby. Zidane's eyes darted left and right, not sure what he did this time around. "Did you leave Cinna ta get picked up by 'em cowgirls Zidane?!" Ruby accused as she looked back to the entrance of the Mini-Theater, Cinna downing a glass of water after that little fiasco. "Reckon ah'm friends with one'of 'em gals an' she recognized Cinna from comin' by on the regular." It was kidna hard to forget a face like Cinna's... you'd see it in your nightmares.
Zidane sucked his tooth and slumped in his seat like a child being scolded. "We got split up. He was gunna be fine..." He muttered and looked off.
"That ain't a point darlin' -- just, play nice would ya?" She shook her head. "Honestly 'ow does that girl a yers handle you sometimes?" With that Ruby went back to start on some orders Ashley dropped off and Cinna would drag up a seat between Zidane and the Miqo'te, helping himself to the meal, much more slovenly than any of them had dug in.
"Oh man, glad I caught up to you guys!" Cinna blared. "So you know those two laborers you knuckled?" He chomped down, talking with his mouthful.
Zidane sat up and finished his second mug of liquor that Ruby had topped off, and the other two's drinks as well.
"You know? Apparently the one the fairy iced was the muscle for some gang trying to settle down at the docks." Cinna offered his news. "His friends came ta pick him up at the holding cells. I only got out on account'a Ruby, but his buddies weren't able to convince the guards." He explained, just going down on the mashed potatoes.
Zidane leaned his head to the side as some splattered from his plate. "Huh, hey Cinna have you heard if any monsters have been coming out at night?""Uh, not in Alexandria, I heard Treno was having trouble." He responded.Zidane shook his head and sat up. "Nevermind, hey how about we get out of here? it probably isn't good to sit around. You're looking for your Chocobo right? We can go ask my friend Mene and see to getting you some place familiar." He looked between them. But he had noticed the goons eyeing them. Cinna's words had only affirmed they probably decked the wrong guys... MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

The black-haired Miqo'te narrowed her eyes at the Genome as he mentioned something about 'a guy who knows about chocobos'. There was a strong look of doubt flashing through her eyelashes. If she was still lead to believe she was on Eorzea, then she would have gladly heard what this fellow-tailed stranger had to say, however, Kira and her chocobo's bond was more secure then that of Cinna and his hammer. She now knew fully well that her beloved red-feathered companion was alone back on Eorzea. Kira's ears drooped and she lowered her head, her hands disappearing under the table to rest in her lap as she found herself only being able to think about her chocobo and imagining the stress and panic he must be going through at the Miqo'te's disappearance. She blinked her eyes as her ears twitched, seemingly 'coming back to life' and going straight back to eating. Grabbing a knife, she stabbed it into the grey paste stuff and used her finger to extract some from the miniature weapon and lick it off. Her eyes widened and her ears perked upright, facing the grey paste. ”What is that?! It tastes good!”
Kira's left ear twisted in Akemi's direction as he began to explain things on his side. Black monsters with yellow eyes? Darkness? What was he talking about? The stare she was giving him from out the corner of her eye revealed her suspicions, but perhaps she ought cut the kid a break. It sounded like he had been through quite the ride already and that his troubles were only just beginning. Home had been attacked, acquired new found powers and was now lost and alone. She could relate to him, but that didn't mean she pitied him. Truth be told, something else had caught her attention and not even the slap Ruby gave the blonde in blue was enough to reign her back in. No, Kira had her eyes on the group of thugs over on a nearby table and begun watching them as intently as they were watching those sat around the table she was on. They mostly appeared to be eyeing the red-haired mage. Shifting her left hand down to her waist, the Miqo'te took a firm grip around the end of her scabbard and used her thumb to gently free an inch of blade out of it's sheath.
”Ah-choo-me...”, she spoke up gentle towards Akemi as Cinna and Zidane exchanged words. ”... Now might be a good time to remember how you cast that Blizzard spell earlier.”. She finished off with a subtle nod towards the table of goons nearby. ”Not yet though, not here... Wait for them to move first. We'll get in less trouble if we act out of self defence.”, she continued, keeping her voice low enough that she was unheard by the thugs, but loud enough so Akemi and hopefully Zidane and Cinna heard her. The Miqo'te's right hand had vanished back under the table too now and was hovering over the hilt of her blade, ready to draw and defend herself if necessary. Clearing her throat, Kira nodded her head towards the grey paste on the table before the four of them yet kept her eyes on the other table, and speaking with perhaps a bit too much volume in her voice asked; ”Have you tried this grey stuff yet? It is very good. I wonder if it has a name?”.

Akemi had no idea what really to do next. He was hoping that maybe he would find out his next step if he were to figure out where he was, but sadly he was still at square one. He had to find a way to get back home or at least figure out how to leave this place. However, what made things harder now was his new powers. It was a lot to juggle but he had to find some sort of balance. The boy’s eyes trailed off a bit as he watched the woman known as Ruby slapping Zidane behind the head. Geez, this woman was nothing to mess around with. Why is everyone in this place so violent? The theater owner began to go off about leaving someone behind at the last bar. Thinking about, he did remember this weird short guy jumping into the crowd though to hold off everyone.
At that exact time, the man named Cinna parked himself at the table and began to eat what was left over between the Kira and Zidane. As he began to speak, Akemi’s heart instantly shank more and more. He had gripped his mug tightly as he listened carefully. One, he didn’t like being called a fairy, that was just plan rude. Second, it had seemed that the guy he froze by accident was the muscle for a gang. And third, Kira had spotted and whispered that there were people here that seemed to after him. His heart rate began to increase as he panicked. This was his entire fault, if he had stayed calm or had more control over his emotions maybe this wouldn’t be happening right now. His ears began to twist a bit as he heard a familiar yet frightening sound.
Looking down, Akemi instantly noticed that his mug was completely covered in ice. The liquid inside was frozen solid while the spot where the mug was had lightly frosted. The boy let go of the mug as he tipped over and made a thud on the table. His hands began to tremble as he realized what just happened. His powers were acting up again and he had to get out of there for everyone’s safety. ”I-I’m sorry but I have to get out of here…I-I don’t want anyone else hurt because of me…” He said as he quickly got up and dashed to the exit without thinking. The fear of hurting someone was clouding him mind as he began to hear that voice again. ”…No matter where you go…destruction and chaos will follow…you are destined to cause nothing but pain and misery to everyone around you…” It echoed deep in his mind as he tried to shake it off. Not noticing where he was running, Akemi bumped into someone and fell back hard with the person.
Snapped out of his trance a bit, he realized it was Ruby. ”I-I’m so sorry!! I didn’t mean to run into your like that…” He said as he quickly stood up. ”H-Here let me help yo-“ Akemi stopped as he reached out his hand. The sounds of ice cracking around his hand hissed in the air while a frosty mist radiated from it. Quickly he jerked back his hand as he held on to it with his other. ”I-I have to go!!...” and with that, Akemi ran up the stairs. If he had grabbed her hand, he would have hurt her like the dog man he froze before. Ruby was so nice to him that he wouldn’t be able to forgive himself he had harmed her. Akemi found himself back in the alleyway as he began to run again the opposite way they came, toward a bell tower. He didn’t know where he was going but he had to get away from the people around him.

Zidane looked to the Miqo'te and laughed at her comment on the food. Even he wasn't sure what the grey stuff was. Ruby claimed it was an old family recipe and that was about all he had to go on. Zidane heard her comment about the thugs. He looked to Cinna and motioned his head to the mash. Cinna nodded and downed the rest of his drink with such fervor you would have to worry about the immediate state of his sobriety as he an Zidane had thrown some back earlier! It put into question their ability to understand the danger they were in. Zidane turned his head as Akemi began to freak out and rushed out.
The goons at the other table pushed to stand, their chairs crying out as the legs dragged along the ground. Cinna would stand and fall over, his hand reaching out for the bowl of mashed potatoes which rained out and splattered across the faces of the brutes. Zidane kicked out of his chair and rushed passed Ruby.
"Sorry Ruby we'll clean up later, promise!" He rushed after Akemi, motioning to the Miqo'te.
Cinna casually lay out on his side on the ground, waving at the group as they made their escape. Running out into the alley Zidane would attempt to catch up with Akemi. Down the alleys they would eventually pass into the areas where many of the residencies were. Zidane looked around, the familiar paths standing out to him even at night. He heard a sound coming from the bell tower. The Moogles!
"Are you okay, kupo?" A soft voice called out to Akemi. Standing beside the entrance to the steeple was a little Moogle that went by the name of Kupo. "You look like you could use a hug, po." He nodded and smoothed down his white-pink fur before holding out his paws, as if completely ready to console the stranger.
Zidane stepped through into the steeple's Courtyard, hand reaching up to grab the side of the archway. "Akemi!" He called out. The moogle looked up and gave him a wave. "You run fast..." And that was a compliment coming from Zidane. He looked back to see if the cat lady had followed or the goons had did to catch up.The twisting paths made it pretty hard to trail them, especially with them zig zagging about the alleys. Kira had most of her attention focused on the table of goons not too far away to pay much mind to the changing state Akemi was going through. She was honestly never all that good at detecting that sort of thing anyway, even if she were staring directly at said person going through whatever changes they might be encountering. No, Kira recognized the threat from the opposite table and was readying herself to draw steel if it came down to it. Protecting herself was priority number one, after all. The only time the female Miqo'te took her eyes off the thugs was when Akemi got up and suddenly broke for the exit. The cat-eared female rose to her feet when seeing some of the nearby goons do the same, her motivation being to defend the red-haired mage were the goons to try anything. Fortunately they seemed to be reacting out of surprise over anything else. It wasn't until stubble-faced Cinna 'fell over' and spilt mashed popotos over the goons, that they reacted.
One quickly rubbed the mashed spuds from his eyes and shot out a hand to try and snag a fistful of the red-haired mages hair. Kira vaulted the table, mugs and plates clattering to the floor as Zidane zipped past in front of her. Pulling the scabbard from her belt, she slammed the pommel of her blade into the hair-grabbing goons eye, causing him to snap his head back and yell out in pain. He stumbled backwards with two hands covering a bloody eye and tripped up over his chair, crashing into a couple of his mates. A second goon drew a dagger but the Miqo'te saw the flash of steel from the corner of her eye. With a twist of her hips, she pivoted and drew her eastern blade, slicing the goons hand off from the wrist in a lightning fast flash of steel, removing the limb in as little effort as a hot knife would slice through butter. The look in Kira's eye and the general aura of her aether was one of pure seriousness. If anyone drew a blade on her, then they had better prepare themselves for the worst.
Beliving the goons had enough to deal with and deciding to leave the rest for Cinna to clean up, the Miqo'te turned and dashed past Ruby, ignoring whatever complains or threats that may or may not have left her lips at the blooding of her theatre floor. Snapping her head left and right, she just caught a glimpse of a blonde tail vanished around a corner and quickly darted off after it, sprinting through the streets and following the twists and turns and eventually catch up with the mage and the genome. Katana still in hand, she paused and looked back down the way she came, but couldn't hear any approaching footsteps, neither goons nor they female soldiers from earlier. Flicking her blade down to her right, she cleaned the steel of blood and returned the weapon to it's scabbard before she caught up with the two men... and a Moogle. Kira blinked and approached the boys, her head tilting as her eyes focused on the Moogle. ”... A Moogle? Didn't think I'd find one this far away from Moghome... Wait... can you two see that Moogle?” The Miqo'te asked as she drew near the men, where she stopped and folded her arms across her chest, her glare-like frown still aimed at the fluffy moogle.

Akemi stumbled to the entrance of the bell tower, completely out of breath and exhausted from the running. In the back of his mind he had hoped that he got away from those guys. All this mess was because of Akemi. If he hadn’t gone into that bar to begin with, he wouldn’t have those goons after him. They wouldn’t have confused him for a girl and maybe he wouldn’t have froze that poor dog man like he did. His crimson locks draped over his shoulder and face as the boy tried to catch his breath. Slowly he sat down on the stone pathway that led to the bell tower as he needed a moment to breathe. However this was short lived when a soft voiced called out to the boy.
His head quickly looked up as he saw this small, white furry little creature. It looked like a walking stuff animal with a soft and cute voice to match. Akemi watched as it walked to the door frame that stood before him while it’s red pompom bounced with each step it took. It had asked him if he was okay and wanted a hug. This took him by surprise as this creature was trying to comfort him without even knowing him. But the little creature was right, he did need a hug. Before Akemi could even tell him yes, the boy instantly remember about the moment in the bar with the mug. He quickly drew back his hands in fear that he would once again freeze someone like before. ”I-I’m sorry…I don’t want to cause you harm…” He said but stopped before he could explain himself.
A familiar voice called out to him as he turned his head to see Zidane running up to the two. Wow, he caught up with him quicker than he expected. Soon after, Kira followed right behind him. Her eyes homed in on the creature and called it a Moogle. So that’s what this thing was called but what did she mean by can we see it? Akemi quickly snapped back to reality as he stumbled a bit to stand up. Managing to get to his feet rather quickly, he step back from everyone. ”P-Please stay back…my powers are acting up again and I don’t want hurt any of you…” He pleaded as he could feel his hand surging with ice. ” Y-you should get out of here before those guys catch up to us…” With his powers acting up again and now people on their tail, or would be if had known that Kira took care of them already, Akemi could harm someone. He was a danger to everyone around him and right now, he didn’t want to hurt his new friends. He wouldn’t be able to look at himself in the mirror if he were to hurt them like he did that one dog man.
