After another long trip, Nick appears out of the portal. But this time, the magical door was actually not in the air. But right next to some wooden house. He looked at the house that he was right in front of.
"Hm, interesting house. Looks like no one is home though, maybe someone will answer if I knock on the door." He said as he knocked on the door firmly. No one had answered, nor was there anything to indicate that someone was home.
"What a shame, maybe they are out doing something. I'll come back later," He said as he walked away from the house, and proceeded into the forest. As he walked along the dirt path, it got slightly darker by the second. The trees were blocking out most of the sunlight, leaving only a few small streaks of light. It was pretty quiet.

Who will heal you?
If I don't come along...
“I don't think we're getting anywhere, sis,” Palom told his sister as he stretched out his arms and placed them behind his head. He casually walked forward while Porom was looking around herself in search of something. Palom was just glad the scenery didn't keep changing all over the place right now, this was a forest, not some portal that kept dropping them in ruins, castles, dungeons, caves, or whatever weird magical places they've seen. He did miss the train already.
Somewhere in the back of his mind he felt like he had been to some place with a lot of water. Enjoying being a half-fish creature. Palom wondered if that was some sort of dream or if it ever happened, but didn't want to voice his dreams to his sister that seemed a little frightened right now. Since they had started moving, the places they've been were weird and it was bothering both. So it wasn't just his sister that felt off. Still, she usually was stronger than this.
“Come on, sis,” he continued and brought out a hand, waving it in a random manner, “just a dark forest, nothing wrong with it. We've seen dark forests, maybe some monsters come out. We could very well be on our way back home.” Porom looked annoyed at her brother at this, “if it had been that easy, we'd be back already!”
Porom didn't like any of this. Where were they and what was going on? “Mysidia could very well be in danger! And we have no idea where we are!” she called out back to Palom that was starting to be further back as she had been moving a little faster, “and move faster! I want to find some village or something before this place gets too dark to see anything.” Her brother merely sighed at this notion and shrugged.

Nick was looking around at the surrounding area, seeing if there was anything to generally see. It was trees as far as he could see. With only a few birds flying around and twittering every now and then. However, he was a bit distracted by the environment around him. This caused him to bump into two individuals that were also in the area. He stopped once he realized what he had done.
"Oops... I am sorry, I got distracted and I bumped into you two. Forgive me," He said as he waited for a response from the two. He didn't expect to really run into anyone while he was walking around, he thought it was completely quiet. Thankfully, he didn't knock the two down when he had bumped into them.
He suddenly had some thoughts on his mind. What if these two could help him find some clues to his missing parents? He could try to do it himself, but he doesn't mind having someone helping him out. He enjoys working together with people.

If I don't come along... Hurrying onward Porom was surprised when she suddenly hit something. Especially since she had constantly kept check on Palom. What she bumped into definitely didn't feel like a tree as she jumped back with a shock, but it appeared to be a man who apologized. “Oh! I'm sorry!” she said while bowing, “I... I wasn't paying attention either,” puffing her cheeks while looking back at Palom that had hurried forward, “oh, now you hurry forward.” Ignoring his sister, Palom had grabbed his staff when he noticed Porom running into someone. Having expected hostility, the person appeared to be friendly so far and he had gotten closer now. “And who are you? You from around here?” he asked in a rather rude manner before Porom hit the back of his head with a smack from her hand. “I'm sorry, I am Porom and this pest is my twin brother, Palom,” she quickly introduced the two of them. Rubbing the back of his head, Palom looked back up, “yeah, okay, but really. Are you from around here?” he still wanted to gain answers. Even if Porom was interrupting. He didn't really care for being rude and thus far they didn't really know who to trust since they were in some tight dark woods. Nothing is ever as it seemed. Open your eyes and see. "My name is Nick Laruzo, but you can call me Nick. I've been searching around different places for clues that might help find where my parents are located. This place, whatever it is, is my next location to search," said Nick as he formally introduced himself to the twins He didn't notice at first, but there was a twinkle of light coming from the bottom of one of the trees ahead.
"No, I am not from here. I live in a place called Traverse Town. It's been my home for many years," He said to the twins. He saw something in the corner of his eyes when he looked a bit left of the twins. There was an unknown light source that was hidden inside of one of the trees. With his curiosity, he decided to investigate after he told the twins about where he came from.
"Where is that light coming from?" He asked as he went where the source of the light was located. He pulled back some branches to reveal a red chest lined with gold. There was small beams of light emanating through small holes in the chest itself. They were quite visible to the naked eye.
"A storage chest of some sort maybe? Let me see if I can open it," He said to himself as he tried to open the chest. He almost had it, but it wouldn't open. It seems he would need another person to help open it.

If I don't come along... Palom gave a shrug, “all these places you search for clues, they all creepy forests? Caves? That sort of thing?” he asked with a grin while Porom was giving him a look. He was wondering what Nick was even looking for. They both were actually. Still, with introductions out of the way, Porom looked around, “so you don't know this place either...” she slowly said. The place 'Traverse Town' didn't really bring anything to mind for either of them. Still, considering these places were... not exactly on their home world, that was to be expected. They were getting used to these sorts of things. It didn't really explain if the man was by chance from the world, but just not the same land. The mention of some light had Palom quickly turn in preparation to defend if it was anything dangerous while Porom took a slow look. “No idea, but best to be careful,” Palom said as he followed Nick towards the source. It appeared to be a chest as Nick revealed, “treasure?” he grinned while Porom was still checking the surroundings. She didn't like it there as the forest was too tightly closed and it was getting darker. Wondering if either of the two had brought a torch, Porom moved closer to the two where the source of the light was. Palom crouched down next to Nick as he studied the chest while Nick was trying to open it. “What if it is trapped,” he started, “ever thought about that?” he asked in a fairly rude tone before feeling Porom's foot in his back. “Maybe help him open it, would you,” she said to her brother, “what if more Heartless are coming. This place is dark and seems like it's fairly dangerous.” Nothing is ever as it seemed. Open your eyes and see. How beautiful life can be. MADE BY KIWII OF BTN |

Nick kept trying to open it, but it was stuck at one part. He let go of the lid for a moment. When he heard the idea that It could be trapped, he was a bit concerned.
"Trapped? I've never heard about someone putting traps inside of a storage chest. I definitely should be careful. Oddly enough, it won't open because it got stuck. Maybe there's something on here that unlocks it completely," said Nick as he looked around on the chest for anything that might be a clue to unlocking it. He looked at the below the front surface of the chest, and noticed something very interesting. A door knob.
"A door knob on a chest? I've never seen anything like it, what would happen if I twisted it?" He said as he twisted the door knob to the left. Upon doing that, a loud click went off. It was an indication that the chest was now unlocked.
"Oh! It should be unlocked now, let's see if I can open it," He said as he went to lift the chest lid open. Noticing that it was now heavy, definitely requiring another person to open it. Nick looked at the twins, and then asked them for assistance.
"Excuse me, but could one of you come and help me open this please?" He asked politely as he continued to try and open it.

If I don't come along... Palom nodded with a serious face, "I’ve heard of treasure chests that had all sorts of boogie-traps made onto them. If you’re not careful, something might explode or even the chest itself could happen to be some kind of monster, bad things can happen!" he added with a mischievous smile. To be fair, he liked to pull pranks with chests as well. See if adventurers would fall for it. He had gotten some ideas from his travels.
Finding a doorknob on a chest was just... weird. Nothing fun at all to Palom, he wondered why someone would install one and what might be behind it before Porom placed her foot in his back. Having told him to help. Crouched next to Nick as he fiddled with the knob, Palom knocked his staff against the side of the chest to see if anything happened. With Nick hogging the lid, it wasn't like Palom knew what to exactly do. What if we just blow it open? he thought to himself curiously. Porom was just worried something would happen, there was a loud click when the doorknob had been turned. "Do be careful," she said as she also started to look around, "I don't think this forest is safe either." She hoped she wasn't the only one thinking about what kind of beings might be out there.
As Nick asked for assistance, Palom tried to get ahold of a bit of the doorknob as well to start pulling it open. He placed one foot against the bottom part while trying to pull it up. Just in case the chest was loose from the ground, not like they had attempted to lift the entire thing yet. "Should I help too?" Porom asked while moving closer to aid in case they needed a third person to pull it open. She just did whatever was asked if needed. Nothing is ever as it seemed. Open your eyes and see. As Nick attempted to open it again, he was able to finally lift the lid of it. This happened after the chest was hit with something he didn't notice. Inside of it, he saw two things: A metal like glove, and a note. There was nothing else in it, not even a single piece of gold, or a glamorous jewel.
"Well, this is interesting," He said as he picked up the glove. Observing is from all sides, he finds something engraved on the right side of this object. It had said 'Dark Gauntlet' in silver letters. The object itself was colored grey. He put this gauntlet on his right hand, and it seemed to slip right on. It was the perfect size. He then picked up the note that was inside, reading it aloud.
"To find the final clue, find a random tree with a crack in it, then punch it really hard. Then, you will receive what you have been looking for," He said as he put the clue in his pocket. He turned to the twins and said to him "Thanks for helping me open this chest. Now all I have to do is locate the final clue. May not be easy, but I must do it."
He closed the lid of the chest with his hands, and then looked back at the twins once more.

If I don't come along... Cooperating with Nick, Palom aided in pulling open the lid and they did manage to lift it this time. There didn't appear to be any traps, which was a nice thing. He wouldn't have liked to get blown up. The chest didn't seem to go suddenly sentient either, so it wouldn't maul them at least. Instead their new friend was picking something out of the chest as the twins watched.
Crouched next to Nick, Palom had been able to see the glove and note immediately and wondered what was going on as he scratched his chin a little. Seeing Nick put on the glove, he asked: "I'm starting to get the feeling you were expecting to find all this, weren't you?" Porom looked somewhat confused at her twin brother, but she had a bit of a mutual feeling and watched Nick now pick up the note. Hearing him read the note, she spoke as well: "you had been following clues to this here? Is this a test someone set up for you?" she asked with a smile, quite interested. Both Palom and Porom nodded as Nick thanked them, "sounds like a nice adventure, we had some tests like these in the past," Palom said with a grin. "I had to pull you out of some trouble in those," Porom followed with a smile towards her brother where he looked somewhat disgruntled towards her after, "well, I did guide someone the last time. Being the master for once," he said before turning towards Nick, "that clue seems a little off, 'random tree with a crack', that is in this forest? There are a lot of trees unless this mysterious figure did some things that will lead us much quicker to this very tree.
It did feel off how it spoke of a tree with a crack in it while they were in a forest as Porom looked around if she saw such a tree. She could guess the gauntlet was specifically to punch it. The part of 'punch it really hard' sounded like some sort of trial Palom would come up with. Nothing is ever as it seemed. Open your eyes and see. How beautiful life can be. MADE BY KIWII OF BTN |

"Maybe I was expected to find these clues, who knows? Perhaps in time, the answer will come. Also, about the clue itself... it certainly introduced a strange way to find it. It sounds like it will take quite a while, but I will do anything to find it," said Nick as he glanced at his gauntlet once more, then back at the twins. "If you two want, you can join me in helping find that particular tree. I'll let you both decide. Whatever your decision is, I will understand."
He walked away quickly, then started his search around the dark forest. Looking for a tree with a crack in it. The problem with this would be that most of the trees look the same. Finding this tree would be like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. A slight wind blew across the area, causing all the leaves on the trees to slightly shuffle. While he searched, he found a tree with a crack in it, but was it the one he was looking for?
"Ah, here it is. Here goes nothing," He said as he focused on the one spot he wanted to hit, then punched it really hard in the center. It hurt a bit when his fist made contact with the hard wood, he shook his right hand a bit. He then waited for a while to see if anything happened. Nothing. Not a single reaction. This was not the tree he was looking for. "That was disappointing, time to keep looking."
He continued to look around, making sure to observe every tree he came across very closely. Some of them even had flowers growing on them.
